  1. I disagree that 2 damage+slow each turn is a good deal for a 8ss model, no matter the range.
  2. I think he means slow or staggered, not both.
  3. Not sure about this. We have quite good versatile pieces and very useful versatile tech pieces. Midnight Stalker is an extraordinary Scheme Runner, what makes our whole faction better by himself. I bet Guild would love to have him instead almost any other of their versatiles. Prospectors are really useful support pieces. They provide us with resources that many other factions would love to have. Hodgepodge Effigy is an ultra cheap healer that can help lots in crews without healing (like Plague or Tormented) or improve the survivability of any crew for cheap. The Emissary is... Well I really don't use the Emissary because 10ss for a support model is a bit much for me, although he really improves both mobility and durability of the crew. Johanna may not be the auto-take it was back in M2E, but she still beats like a truck and is a star against heavy conditions crews. Barbaros is what every tank should be. He can beat, is tough, heals himself, attracts aggro and does damage to enemies when attacked. Pride is the best of Crossroad seven, wich by itself doesn't mean a lot, but he's very useful both supporting your crew and messing with the opponent. The child is a 3ss significant model that can help your crew. Can't ask for much else at that price. Hans... Wel, as the Emissary I don't like him much. He's obviously not good enough as sniper damage dealer, but he can indeed nullify any model at a good range by giving it Slow, Distracted and Stunned. Specially good against crews that rely on Terrifying/Manipulative for defense. Maybe we don't have the best single versatile model, or the best group of versatiles. Damn, we don't have any OP-Broken versatile, bit we have very good gap-filling pieces and even our worse versatiles may have their niche role. Yes, I would like to see some improvement on Hans damage-dealing capability, but it's almost the only thing I really think needs help. Maybe we don't need some pieces because we don't need them, but that doesn't mean they're bad.
  4. You forgot Quick Getaway, which allows them to run out of LoS/range/engagement. Its 4/6 shots, wich means from 8 up to 12 min damage with 4" Larger range versus from 6 up to 9 min damage with 4" Shorter range. It depends on how the wounds are distributed, of course. Not saying that Bandidos are good or bad, but they're quite well liked as far as I know.
  5. In the fantasy world of "you engaged both Viktorias without killing none of the squishiest master in the game, and they hit with twelve attacks with 6 masks without missing a single target" Yes, they can hit three times with masks, allowing the other sister to attack antoher three times, and then the other viktoria chain activates and does the same. But is not reliable to start the activation engaged, because you know, Df6 Wp5 Wd8 with no defenses.
  6. No, they can't, there's masters with armor that, with a stone reduces each attack to a 1-0 damage. There's masters there that with the first attack simply bury themselves and that's it. There's some that can pass attacks to nearby allies. Some can run away from them with the first attack, push them away, end their activations... Vikis can't kill Von Schill (I've tried lots of times) and, while not squishy, Von Schill in not the tankiest master out there.
  7. No, they don't. They can do many attacks, spending a lot of resources. The opponent can reduce the damage with armor, shielded, incorporeal, ss... If you spend your resources to try to kill, and your opponent spends them to not get killed, there's a really big chance of them ending without resources and engaged with a very wounded model that is perfectly capable of killing one Viktoria in a single activation. Viktorias has a good stat (7) and good damage spread (3/4/6) but that's it. They are affected by every defensive tech out there (with HtW being the less impressive against them). Yes, they can pick almost any enforcer or minion out, and also the weakest Henchman and Masters, but they are far from being capable of erase any mid-tough ss user.
  8. No, they can't. They now run a lot, avoid enemies and does schemes.
  9. I think just turning back one of the nerfs he got last time would be ok, either quit the TN or return the in-built . Personally, I would reduce the TN to 10 and would increase the Stat to 6 (with no in-built suits), so it would be easier to affect enemy models and it only would be needed a 4 to affect friendly models. Tough, as previously stated, I really haven't tested him properly. I'm speaking from the experiences I've been reading in this forum. Really, the changes I would like to see on Obliteration crew is new Summonable models, since right now they have the shortest and most boring list (smaller cheaper model and bigger a-bit-better-at-everything model).
  10. While agree with Desperate Mercs, Winged Plague and SoC, there's many people out there liking Bandidos. Agreed with Talos needing rework. I think I would built a in the hammer, and would make Steal Essence heal him the same amount than damage dealt. Some trigger in Into the Furnace wouldn't be bad either. Agree with Lazarus needing rework, disagree with the suggestion. Not because it wouldn't make him better, but because his gun is a Gatling grenade launcher. That fix isn't gonna happen. As previously said, changing his Grit for Rapid Fire is the way. Aionus may need help, but those changes would make both him and the whole crew way too powerful. Think that Beyond Time is on every non-Talos Obliteration model. And forcing enemies to pass activations at no cost is just crazy xD. Cannot give good advice about him though, not played enough to see a good fix. Agree with Convict Gunslinger needing help, although both options would make them too good IMHO. Also mandatory to say that in every game I hire them, they perform well.
  11. Since Welcome to Malifaux is quite a bad rule, this wouldn't fix her at all.
  12. It wouldn't be bad, bit I think that's only for the sisters. And adding to "welcome to Malifaux" Positive flips against models with summoning upgrades? Not sure, her main problem feels like being a resource-intensive beater in a crew with two resource-intensive beater masters. If she don't add something extra useful, she'll never stop being a tech piece. Some kind of buff to friendly Mercenary models, or some combo-shenanigan.
  13. For advantage I understand that they can do things to Undead that can't do to non-undead. So they are better against undead. Yes, Into the Dust is worse than Execute, but they don't have execute, and really can't see Execute fits well with them, so is an extra trigger done against undead. Same with Hunt the Dead. Because, you know... There's some triggers better than others. I look at them and think "cool, they have extra effects against undead" While you look at them and think "crap, they have subpar limited triggers".
  14. Sure, I forgot that if I search "manipulative" In the app, it also shows all the Ruthless models. But in Terrifying is ressers 13 vs NB 9. I like it, but they would loose their 4" push. I think shielded is the right answer because we already see on KIN keyword that works but without breaking the game. I meant having the push + the extra rule. Not against the shielded option, but that also helps with terrifying without giving more ruthless, wich I disagree ANY crew needs two models. Guild is not so weak agains terrifying to add two extra options.
  15. Not sure about this crew's effectiveness, or what exactly you mean with synergies, but the fact that almost every model in kw have advantages against undead, and some kw models allows you to treat some non-undead models as undead, sound like an obvious synergy for me.
  16. I'm not sure Family needs Ruthless bto face Neverborn... You know, both terrifying and manipulative are way more common in ressers than in NB. I would definitely not put Stealth on Nino, he seems quite fine for me. But. Agree with kw lacking protection. What if, instead shielded, Bravado would give something like "if this model has the Focused condition, it may add the value on its focused condition to any Wp and Df duels, up to +2" It would protect them without adding more damage reduction, and would help with Terrifying without completely ignoring it. And would help every model.
  17. Because for some unknown reason, I keep giving chances to Drachen Trooper. Although I already know he's not gonna nicely surprise me. (It's not an unknown reason. It's because flamethrowers)
  18. You have been the one saying that Rocket Boots is the best upgrade, which means that the rest are worse by comparison. I simply disagree. Vs needs a 5 + a 7 to do this. Marcus can make a beast move its movement with a single 6. It's not exactly the same, but very similar and way easier. Marcus's attack isn't worse than Von Schill's one, with that Pouncing Strike, and Marcus can draw a lot of cards, which is at least in the same level of Shouting Orders. Von Schill is my most played Master, and Marcus is my most faced Master, so I've played a lot of Freikorps vs Chimera games, and I'm quite aware of each crew strengths and weaknesses. Marcus isn't by any means unbeatable with Von Schill, but mutations>Equipment and Cerberus>Drachen Trooper. Having to discard the Equipment after the first use is too much of a handicap. Equipment should be better than they are now.
  19. Cerberus and Blessed don't need leap. If Arik Charges he cannot leap. And if he concentrates, the Cerberus can spend a SS and put another negative to that damage flip. Good thing the armor +2, thought
  20. Sorry, one leap is not better than Flight + +1 Mv + Butterfly Jump. Or than Disguised + Stealth. And one Charge through is way worse than unlimited Charge Through + Onslaught. Mutation Upgrades are quite better than Equipment. Period.
  21. 2 cerberus + ss cache Blessed SS miner + Magical training. 14 ss left. For example a Silent one + 7ss, Mechanical Rider + 3ss... No need for more, in fact, although you could always hire Myranda or Cojo as well.
  22. I've played a Freikorps vs Chimera game recently an god how bad is the friking Drachen!! Specially when compared with a Sabertooh Cerberus. Also, the crew needs lots of resources that simply can't generate. They need some card draw. I can't but compare them with Marcus and is insulting. Between better upgrades that don't disappear after the first use, the card draw, the mobility and the damage output...
  23. A couple of days ago, I played with Parker vs Marcus and the Convict Gunslinger was very dissapointing. Failed to kill anything (even the Order Initiate survived him) and one Cerberus killed him in one activation even with the soooo gooood HtK from Soldier for Hire. Too much dependant of luck for a 8ss model wich only strength is supposedly being killy. EDIT: Also, the Bandido was quite unimpressive. Their attacks quite weak, no mobility, any endurance... I managed to land my first three At Gun Point attacks ever, and for such a difficult attack, it's very useless. It should at least add to the effect a card draw if the enemy decides to discard (Stick Up style) because you need too many loops for such weak effect.
  24. The fact is that being paper could be a feature if it were part of something bigger. Like "they are paper BUT..." But nothing. They are not killy or mobile enough to be a high-risk-high-reward crew. They're a bunch of individuals that moves quite well and hit reasonably, but don't hit enough hard to erase dangerous enemy models and aren't mobile enough to avoid them. That 2" Push "Special Keyword ability" Is laughable. Sorry. I hate the crew they have become xDD I loved them in M2E and now find the crew REALLY boring. Not exactly bad, because they can run, but very boring.
