  1. Honestly, Wyrd needs to stop with this nonsense. The models keep getting bigger and this one looks borderline unplayable. If they insist on making models of this size (which I would really prefer that they didn't) then they need to make new rules for a larger base size. Having 2/3 of a model jutting out from the base is just not functional.
  2. I mean, Woes aren't that tanky. If you are standing in the middle of 4 unkilled ones, then you deserve to have bad things happen to you.
  3. I definitely agree with these. Marcus I have played this keyword several times and the one thing that always bothers me a ton in practice is how card hungry it is. You have so many abilities requiring you to discard cards while also having a ton of target numbers requiring 6-7s. Every time I play this keyword I run out of cards blazingly fast and if my opponent has anything with terrifying or abilities requiring me to discard cards I just start weeping. Marcus himself also has the problem that after you give out your important upgrades, he doesn't really do that much. Usually I just put wings on him and fly around and scheme, but that is a pretty boring use of a master. One of my opponents once made the point that "you can play Marcus and make your models good by giving them upgrades, or you can just play a keyword with good models from the get go" A lot of the models in the keyword are also very squishy and some are just plain bad like Cojo and Molemen I would really like a redesign that gave Marcus something to do other than handing our upgrades, made his crew less card hungry and made pretty much all of his models (With the exception of Paul, Vogel and Scorpius) more viable without upgrades. Mostly by giving them a small defensive buff. Titania I really want this keyword to be good, because Titania herself is so amazing. Every ability on her card is so much better on the table than you imagine it to be when you first read it. Sadly all models in her keyword are either "meh" or "decent". She doesn't have anything that is better than that, which is a problem when you look at the models some other keywords have access to. Bultunguin and Waldgeists are both pretty bad for their cost. Autumn Knights and Rougarou are both ok, but they are "just" beater models. I feel for a model that doesn't do much other than close combat, it needs to either have some strong movement tricks or be a lot better at combat than either of these models are. Aeslin is also fine, although slow and squishy which is usually a poor pairing. If left unanswered she can get stuff done though. Killjoy is way too slow and squishy at df 4 and terrifying 11. Sure he can come back with his Blood Sacrifice, but Fae have no good targets for the upgrade, so if you want him back at 4hp you will end up sacrificing a 7ss autumn knight or 8ss rougarou usually. I would really like a redesign that gave Fae back the scheme marker theme they had in m2. Not only could this help all the models in the keyword that are sorta plain, but it would also give them a specific role in Neverborn which I feel the faction is sorely lacking. Pandora Of the keywords here she is definitely the one I have played the least. I know other players like her a lot, but I just don't see it. Pandora herself is pretty good, but just like Titania I feel her keyword is lacking (Other than Candy. Candy is crazy). I won't go into much detail here though, because I feel like I am in the minority on this. I would like a redesign of the whole Misery ability. Especially since I find it to be a very inelegant design as it is now. Preferably I would like something where it could stack like in the old days, so Pandora could once again be Neverborns bubble punisher. Nekima Lelu/Lilitu. These have all the squishy downsides of the rest of the nephilim without any kind of speed to make up for it. As I mentioned earlier slow + squishy is a bad combo. Terror Tots/Corrupted Hounds. I just struggle to see a purpose for these whatsoever. As a whole I feel like Wyrd failed to account for the huge indirect nerf that cheap models got when pass tokens were introduced, which has lead to a lot of cheap models in m3 being terrible. I would like to see a redesign where the keyword wasn't so dependent on spamming out focus with Black Blood Shamans. It would also be very nice if Tots and Hounds could be made into cheap and effective scheme runners as this is definitely something Neverborn lacks. Asylum/Half Bloods Someone at Wyrd must really hate these models. They were terrible in m2 and in m3 Orderlies/Blood Wretches are both in the run for the title of worst model in the game. A case can be made for Angel Eyes and Dr. Grimwell, but other than those, there really isn't anything worthwhile here. I would like to see a redesign where Wyrd does anything. Literally anything. They can't get any worse.
  4. I have posted in another thread that I don't get why Neverborn who are supposed to be the fast and fragile faction (are we even supposed to be that anymore? We mostly just seem fragile) get outmaneuvered by Ressers who are the tanky faction. Your options start to seem really limited when you can't outmaneuver the other faction and also can't win in a straight up fistfight. And as others have stated here I definitely also feel that the internal balance in the faction is off. I really hope this will be fixed with a future errata.
  5. When you draw that many extra cards a turn, it really isn't that difficult making the dispatcher pass a couple of shockwave tests. Also Executioners have 9 health with Hard to Kill and Mounted Guards effectively have 10 health. Sure it isn't a lot if you are paying 8/9ss for them, but when you are summoning them in I would definitely not describe it as wafer thin.
  6. I guess it is me being a bit behind the times then. I just remember in the beginning I never heard people talk about him which always puzzled me.
  7. When I played him he was summoning in executioners with a free push when they activated and effectively 4 AP. Other than that he drew 6 cards the first round from the dispatcher where every card gave him some other form of bonus as well (for example an extra AP on the executioner) But it is true that all the really strong summoners have very solid card draw. I definitely wouldn't mind also seeing a Nerf to Sandeep, Dreamer, Som'er and Von Schtook (who I feel is underrated)
  8. I just.... What??? Both masters are crazy strong. Daschel I think is the strongest master I have played in m3, he honestly feels like playing against Nicodem in m2 at his worst. Also Ikirio is really good while Daschels totem is completely broken. And it is definitely anything but fragile.
  9. Yeah, I got that, but Titania has range 8 on all her good stuff. Isn't it better to stand back more and maybe also get in another shot? I would assume that would also make it easier to hit more models with queens command. I might give it a shot to try it out, but I can't help but feel that it is a little clunky on paper. The one time I have tried Killjoy he was also a huge underperformer.
  10. Isn't it a bit awkward getting any use out of Blood Sacrifice on Titania?
  11. That is true, although the Effigy needs 8s to lure, so it isn't exactly free
  12. At first I thought this would just be a complaint about the current price of Malifaux, which I would honestly agree with. Malifaux was never cheap, but m3 brought some price increases, which makes certain boxes borderline obscene. Ironsides Core Box is 40£ msrp for 5 small human models and 1 tiny human model.
  13. Slightly off topic, but I am pretty jealous of ressers. Reva was the only master in the faction that I didn't think was extremely solid and she just got buffed. I wish Neverborn were even close to having that amount of internal balance. I agree fully. You really need to play masters with an explosive play style in tournaments, which is a shame because it excludes masters that might otherwise be very strong.
  14. I like Coppelius, but I have had more success running him as a scheme runner hunter rather than a schemer himself. I remember during the beta when they gave Tots protected in an attempt to fix them. I was pretty bewildered as their problem isn't that they die, but that they do nothing worthwhile while alive.
  15. Well I am not necessarily clamoring for something that can drop down several markers in one turn, but the new gaining grounds seem to require speed a lot more than before, and for a faction that is supposedly fast and fragile I just don't see that speed.
  16. I actually think most Neverborn players just need to embrace Lucius more when it comes to throwing out scheme markers. He can definitely do it very effectively, and as a backup in a savage crew Cyclops can also do it somewhat well. The problem to me is definitely, as you say, that we lack an efficient scheme runner and that movement tricks are much more effective than the +1 movement we seem to have on a lot of our models. Though I gotta admit that regarding Black Blood Shamans I am so stuck in the mindset of Pulse focus -> grow into mature, that I hadn't considered them as a possible scheme runner.
  17. I mean Symbols of Authority. I had my names mixed up. And even though wicked dolls are cheap, they are in no way fast enough. True, we are better than guild, but I don't really feel like that is saying a whole lot. To me it is a problem when the extremely sturdy undead faction is beating the glass cannon faction at mobility.
  18. This is something that has been bothering me since the advent of M3. We no longer have any good cheap scheme runners. This problem has only been emphasized by the new gaining grounds where a strategy like Symbols of Authority require you to have some very fast models in order to have any chance of reaching the markers. In my opinion this is wrong as Neverborn are supposed to be the "fast and fragile" faction, but right now we are being left in the dust by a faction such as Ressers (Seriously, why are they so incredibly mobile in M3??) As I see it right now we have four real options in preparing for Symbols of Authority, all with their own flaws. 1. Silurid and Gubs. These are still amazing for scheming and I feel like a lot of our problems would have been solved if these were still in our faction, but sadly right now we need to play Zoraida to have access to them. 2. Cerberus. These are starting to get pretty expensive to use as scheme runners. Especially since Marcus needs to spend time to throw some upgrades on them to make sure they don't crumble like the thin tissue paper they are made of. Again these are also master specific 3. The spider friends Widow and Bander. These two together are incredibly mobile and don't have any trouble leaping across the battlefield to reach the markers. Sadly though they come at 15ss in Keyword and 17ss out of keyword, so not exactly cheap. 4. Hooded Rider. By far our most mobile model that isn't keyword specific. Sadly at 11ss you are paying a premium if you are intending to primarily use him as a schemer. I really feel like we could use some of our old options back. It might also help with the glaring issue that 90% of our models below 7ss are incredibly weak. For example if Tots got sprint back it would help fix a faction issue that I don't think was intended plus it would fix the problem that Tots are completely useless currently. Any thoughts? Do you feel I am completely in the wrong here?
  19. Pandora has an attack that can copy the effect of another models attack. It has no restriction regarding targeting masters or upgrades. Jack Daw has an attack that deals out a curse of injustice as part of the attack. Is there anything in the rules that stops Pandora from copying Jack Daws attack and giving him a Curse of Injustice upgrade?
  20. The problem then is that you are using a master AP and one of the best upgrades to make a bad model into a sorta decent model. You save a whole bunch of trouble by just taking decent to good models to begin with.
  21. I totally had it as 6 in my head as well. Counting is very hard apparently
  22. 17 stones for 6 models? All the half bloods together are 33 stones. (And unless you are somehow playing against a crew that is literally incapable of throwing out anything other than AOE, I doubt it would be worth 33 stones)
  23. I can say 100% honest that I do not believe there is a single crew in the game that is so shockwave focused that they would struggle against a df 5 wp 4 model with 5 health and a stat 5 2/3/4 dmg track.
  24. I do agree, I actually think that is one of the biggest flaws with m3. Most cheap models got a huge indirect nerf with the introduction of pass tokens, but most cheap models then also got nerfed directly, meaning that most of them are bad to very bad. I get the feeling that some factions have it better, but it is definitely the case in Neverborn.
  25. I had a recent game that made me consider this question. I had always looked at Bloodwretches on paper and thought they looked awful, but I was not at all prepared for how terrible they actually are when putting them on the table. Df 5 wp 4 health 5 and no defensive tech means that they go down if something sneezes a bit too hard in their direction. Being less sturdy than even the most brittle of glass means that you would expect them to hit hard, but their 1 inch, stat 5, 2/3/4 dmg attack leaves much to be desired. Their one good feature is their bonus action that allows them to push and gain focus, but it also deals them 1 damage, which is a whooping 20% of their health. So Bloodwretches are my vote for the currently worst model in the game. What is yours?
