  1. I thought that dark haired lady looked familiar!
  2. Nice write-up, I'll keep the placement of Lady J's gun in mind once I get my own box.
  3. I hope it's ok to post this here. I have a YouTube channel (yes, it's under a different name than the one I use at forums) where I upload videos of me drawing something or sometimes even a slideshow of other works I've done and for my latest video I chose to draw the Guild's lovely Lady Justice! It's a roughly quick sketch so don't expect anything too stunning!
  4. I think I may have messed up, I spent the equivalent in GBP but the receipt I had didn't mention the currency or product names! Looking back that was kinda dumb of me, I hope there'll be other chances to get this model as I was liking the idea of four different looking Gators following my McTavish around!
  5. I hope her crew box is called "Stop the presses!" or some such stereotypical phrase!
  6. While it would be nice to see Obsidian Oni in her box as the minions, I am hoping it'll be something new as I'm sure most of us would hate to have to buy a box that is half comprised of models we already own! The Obsidian Oni are being released later this year sometime, and we have no idea when Asami herself will be available.
  7. Now we know that our next master is an Oni (could be a Futakuchi-onna, and I have wondered about Asami being a harionago), I want to know what her henchman will be! I'm hoping it'll either be a Kuchisake-onna or a Yuki-onna. And then there's the questions about her totems and minions too, heck it could even be one of those master, henchman, totem and 3 enforcer boxes. It'd be cool to have a box made up of mostly female oni, there're plenty of vengeful female yokai in Japanese folklore.
  8. I'm liking a lot about her! I don't mind the appearance, Japanese creatures often look odd. She might be a Harionago but if that comment about her own bite is a clue then it could be that the Futakuchi-onna speculation could be right! Either way, I don't mind! More Yokai!
  9. I wasn't expecting a Nun for the Resser master!
  10. If I were planning it, I'd probably go with these.... "Pandemonium" crew box. Harionago as the Master. Kuchikase-Onna as the Henchman. She's that slit mouthed woman from Japanese urban myths who herself is considered a modern day Yokai. Google her, she HAS to be in this game! She's perfect for Malifaux. One or two Tsukumogami as the totem. These are objects that once they pass 100 years they spring to life to cause fear, or at least a bit of mischief. Bura Bura the lantern is one of the most well known examples along with karakasa the paper umbrella. Not sure how they'd act but scheme markers turning out to be the Tsukumogami would be fun (and annoying!). For the three minions then I'd say to go with Bakemono. It's a fairly open concept that Wyrd could take in whatever direction they'd want. Seeing what I chose for the Master, Henchman and Totem then midsection and things not being what they seem is a running theme. Heck, in this case I might even consider Tanuki as being the minions! Shapeshifting tricksters and all. Also a disclaimer to Wyrd, if I somehow predicted something upcoming then it's purely coincidence as I do not know any current play testers. I also claim no ownership over these ideas (being that I plucked them from Japanese folklore) so if any of them sound good then feel free to go ahead and use them.
  11. Ahh, sorry. I don't keep up with online communities as much as I used to. I missed that. -------------------------------------------------------------- Most of Wyrd's Oni are in fact some form of Yokai. If that hair thing is possibly an Oni master then I'd say Harionago is more likely than Futakuchi-onna.
  12. I'm surprised that only one other person has pointed out that Titania is the red joker of the 1st edition fate deck! I still use my original fate deck and am always happy to see the red joker when she flips (and I've even thought that artwork would rock as a tattoo), so of course I have to get this master. And I don't even play Neverborn! Well, I suppose that sentence should've end with "yet"!
  13. I ordered a Yin for my collection, I should have her next week sometime!
  14. Nice collection! Good luck with getting the rest painted in time!
  15. I think 7th Heaven games might have a box.
  16. Having personally faced Rail Workers recently, I don't think I could go wrong with them either! Thanks for the advice Tokapondora and Skitt Happens. I'm thinking Yin and Toshiro should be at the top of my shopping list along with Dark Debts!
  17. Sorry, I wasn't very clear on what I was asking! Basically I guess it's just general advice for what I own and what would pair well with whatever else there is! A little advice on future purchases wouldn't go amiss, but I'm not seeking a shopping list just yet. As I mentioned, I was looking at either Rail Crew or Dark Debts as in yesterdays game I was playing against the Rail Crew (straight from the box with upgrades) in a 35SS game. The Strategy was Reckoning and the Schemes were Protect Territory, Bodyguard, Take Prisoner and Murder Protege. Being a fairly unsubtle person I picked Murder Protege against Kang (not knowing how difficult he is to kill) and Bodyguard with Sidir Alchebal as I had previously won a game that had that scheme with said Henchman. I was looking at McCabe but found that I couldn't get all the upgrades I wanted while filling in with some hitty stuff for Reckoning. Not thinking Brewmaster could help I chose to use Misaki with Sidir Alchebal, a Jigoku Samurai and three Torakage. I lost as my big guns were on a rooftop and my opponent was canny with his moves, sending workers into buildings or running along the walls where they couldn't be spotted. Misaki did manage to charge Kang who had rushed in to kill a Torakage and very nearly managed to kill him! He would've sided next turn as I won the initiative flip but my opponent used to soulstone to force a re-flip, which I lost! Anyway long story short I only ends dup killing one Rail Worker while everything else in my crew died! This was when I felt the need for some more durable front line fighters, I only had one Samurai built. Next time I have a game like this I might even consider using Samurai in a minions kind of role.
  18. Hi, I'm not entirely new to Malifaux as I had played 1st edition a few times with my old Lady J crew, but for 2nd edition I decided to play Ten Thunders. Admittedly, it was for the Asian themes which I love! I play Japanese Sectorial Army in Infinity and Mishima in Warzone Resurrection so you can see where my tastes lie. I've played Ten Thunders a couple of times in 2nd edition but haven't always found them easy to get to grips with. I think so far I've won two games out of about five and I know I still have a bit of learning to do. I'm also a bit of an enthusiastic collector and so far have amassed a reasonable arsenal of models! I'm looking for advice on what I have. Please stick to just this list as apart from the Rail Crew and Dark Debts (and possibly the Crossroads Seven) boxes I don't plan on getting anything too major for a while. Masters- Misaki, Lucas McCabe, The Brewmaster, Mei Feng, Jakob Lynch. Totems- Shang, Luna, Kamaitachi, Emberling, Hungering Darkness. Henchmen- Sidir Alchebal, Ototo, Yamaziko, Kang, Hungering Darkness. Enforcers- The Lone Swordsman, 3 Samurai, Yin the Penangalan. Minions- 3 Torakage, 3 Thunder Archers, 3 Tengu, 3 Wastrels, Dawn Serpent, 2 Komainu, 3 Oiran, 2 Katanaka Snipers, 3 Rail Workers, 4 Illuminated (one's purple), 3 Fermented River Monks. Not Exactly Ten Thunders Minions and Such- 3 Ronin, 2 Guild Guard, 2 Guild Austringers, 4 Guild Hounds, 3 Moon Shinobi, Apprentice Wesley, Fingers, Johan, Whiskey Golem. I was thinking of getting the Rail Crew for the more durable characters inside it (EDIT- Bought them!) and the Dark Debts (EDIT- Bought this too) boxes to try out the Illuminated.
