  1. I posted this at AWP; but I repost it here, since I solved the hidden message Wyrd was telling us!
  2. So I took a closer look at the card. I would willfully force Ikiryo out and hold her in place with Sammy as long as I can. Maybe sth. that can take the hit and reliably Squeel away (Master / Henchman). If Ikiryo is locked into place I argue that he can't summon her again.
  3. I have yet to face Kirai, but did you consider Sammy? She has a CA action that only does two damage but a) removes Triggers or b] walk and charge action c] if friendly are around, they have to take a WP dual. Also Wong's Magical condition comes to my mind. Then there ae the different Squeel abilities, to push out of Melee range. This is just me quoting from the top of my hat with actual NO gameplay knowledge.
  4. Well, since we know that Wyrd is not shying away from reusing Crew themes -> see the Ortega Family, a shameless copy of the LaCroix Family; we both use that song now ;p
  5. ... and I'm stealing this as well, never occured to me, too. Will be pretty awesome with Wong. Either you ensure your Gremlin is there to be blasted, or you have an easier time blasting it
  6. Oh, I just got started. >> Blurred lines fits so very well with when Ulyx goes ham with his pigs. << I see myself out.
  7. Nah it's your model. That's what we do with Wong all the time, target a sad smuck and let the Opponent reap your benefits (in the form of blasts and pulses :3)
  8. What happens in the barn, stays in the barn That is purely reserved for Wong's Lightning Jump. May I suggest Danger! High Voltage from Eletric Six instead?
  9. You want creepy? Imagine them making out to the sweet tune of moonriver ... Better yet, imagine Ulyx alone with some pigs to the tune of moonriver. Thank me later for your pigrelated strange dreams!
  10. I must admit I am a bit sad that Gremlins need to share the limelight with Guilders and what not (even after Zipp had been voted last for the masters reveal), while the other factions will bathe in the glory with unobstructed news coverage .__.; Tiny feelings are hurt!
  11. It's 5 AM here and I am staring at my screen to what-not. All my little Gremlin believes are shattered. 1] I thought I had time to get Ulyx, I get the Were-Gremlin-Pigs will teach me wrong. 2] Are those Mud Stuff Swamp Fiends, are they appetizing for pigs? Will they work for a cool Gremlim Zoraida, or help out McTavish? 3] More Kin for Ophelia or just supporting Gremlins? At least they know how to party hard.
  12. Exactly. Though I just ordered Wong first and he is nice out of the box or with the Kin I already had. After that all went it's way It really helped not worrying too much, see what stuff you can do with what you have on Hand. I wished for Trixie Belle, but still could do without her and even Zipp arives before her... so there is that :). Just go with the flow
  13. I made it and so do you, for Gremlinkind. For big explosions, VERY big explosions!
  14. Addition: Also I learned that the real power behind our Frnak is not the range, but the Close combat (especially with Stilts, being Magical and just declaring Dumb Luck for the lulz). Making him Reckless, Focus him before and just remove that thing from the game that you are most scared of. My last list was Wong, 3 Bayou Grems, Old Cranky, Sammy, McTavish, Merris and Frank and my Opponent was a Collodi Player. I picked Power Ritual and Break Through and McTavish was a bit magical. I scored 9 - 3. My Opponent did not care for Merris, or could not, because other threats had been Screening / protecting her, so she was out there doing scheme marker shenanigangs. The Bayou Gremlins plastered the other side of my deployment zone, so that my opponent could close in and Wong was to happy to blast those damn puppets into bits and pieces, without my opponent being able to take the DF duel. McTavish removed most of the big threats in one go (focus that biatch) and in round 4ish Frank charged the left overs in the opponents table side and showed what a real man can do without glowing (but having stilts), so he could help Merris out to get more Scheme Marker into play come round 5. The list screwed around my opponent so much, that all he omanaged to take down, had been my Bayou Grems (and I blasted Old Cranky into Bayou Heaven to trade 2 for 1 (and get his share of moonshine)). His Coryphee tried to place scheme markers and remove some of mine (though as he noticed it was for naught he stopped removing anything at all). All in all with due experience I am happy to have kept on playing and got rewarded!
  15. New Masters won't have a personal conflux upgrade for the time being. That doesn't mean they won't get any, but not for now!
  16. So I think I need to come back to this thread. I had couple of games in with Wong and gosh what a blast*! First of I managed to circumvent models who are having HTK and are near to the brink of death with blast and following pulses from Lightning Jump with a Gremlin's Luck. It just gets better with sending in a Bayou Gremlin (or anything else expandable) in and see how the enemy squirms, once you explain to him, that he can't do anything, except eat those blast markers and pulses. Adding Insult to injury is his Magical condition he can dish out and I had fun either giving it to a (permafast) Francois or even McTavish (a focused, magical McTavish can deal a lot of hurt from afar). Even better if you squeeze Sammy in, who holds the Ooo Glowy upgrade for Wong and helps with the card cycle, if you have Old Cranky with you. With that I guess starting with Brewie was not the best thing to do, but oh well he spoke to me to get in the game and I see nothing wong* with that. In the meantime I spliced a bit 10 Thunders, so it's more on the backburner side and currently provides our newcomers with something to play with, until they are hooked and get told that a crew box is everything they need... and so the cycle repeats I'm still not 100% sold on getting stuff like Trixie Belle in Crew Boxes, but currently it's a minor gripe I have with the game and this happens to every faction... so... well hear my q.q and here it loud! But that's your Business model and all I can do is vote with my wallet but at this time I really am curious about Mah and the soon to be preordered Zipp! * pun intended
  17. So my whole take away is: Depends; Can it provide sth. you currently don't have available, then take it. Are you able to select from full faction, you might find more pleasing stuff elsewhere...
  18. We currently know of. There is a piano upgrade! A PIANO UPGRADE!
  19. Can you elaborate more, so I can learn (your POV) more
  20. Oh well, tbh despite starting with brewie, he doesn't see much table time currently. It's all about the kin and Magic explosives (And there is nothing wong with that). Though it's a shame to bring Brewie back on my Radar... Currently I think that Zipp is better than Brewie in being a control master
  21. Going by the Basic Schemes I like to think thatif he could do any interact actions, he would be too powerful for some of that stuff and thus gained insignificant. I mean, I have the feeling, if played correctly he can be anywhere at any turn.
  22. @Nathan Caroland, @Aaron or whoever is responsible. Thanks for a] making the second generalist upgrade deck available at Gen Con (Sale); Others see here! but b] Adding the Metal Gamin cards to them, this saves me a trip with Wargame Vault
