  1. I'd like Wrath a bit more if he had the Woe characteristic.
  2. I've had extensive private discussion with a couple of other Lucius players here on the forum, so it exists. I think you're correct in assuming that Lucius' crew box is a hurdle for playing Lucius as a Neverborn Master, not everyone will rabidly buy his crew box, and then not use half of it, ever. People tend run him as an alternative Lynch, or a non-Puppet Collodi, which I think underappreciates Lucius' variety of talents, but why not just play Lynch or Collodi? Guardsmen, Mimics, and Minions benefit a Lucius crew, and that's the problem. Thematically, Guardsmen don't fit well in a Neverborn crew, and, personally, I loathe running even Austringers for that reason. There have been discussions to the tune of "Is Surprisingly Loyal worth taking if you're only getting one cross faction model?" I'd say yes, and Terracotta Warriors fixes this a bit, but for some people Lucius' value is diminished because of his cross-faction hiring pool. Bluntly, "If I wanted to play Guardsmen, I'd play Guild." Mimics have two problems, they don't have any powerhouse models that can compare to stuff like Illuminated, and they are thematically underdeveloped. Candy, Doppelganger, Mr. Graves, and Mr. Tannen are not primarily Mimics, and they aren't associated with Lucius in any meaningful way. The only Mimics with that attachment are Guild Lawyers. Mimic themed crews are an eclectic assortment of models, with only their (usually seconday) subtype holding them together thematically. Surprisingly Loyal indeed. It makes you feel like Neverborn Lucius takes second to his Guild alternate. That being said, this is the Lucius crew I run, and it's a challenge, everything needs to be like clockwork. It's much friendlier to go Minion-centric. Minions. Again, Lucius relies on other Masters' crews to work this out. Changelings are great utility, but Illuminated, Autumn Knights, ect... are better primary options. You need to especially like Lucius, or what he can do, to play a Lucius Minion crew over Lynch and Collodi, or whomever else. The Errata did turn some heads, and it certainly helped my Mimic lists, but Lucius' theme issues remain.
  3. Guild and Neverborn. If you want a specific faction, or different models, just pick a Henchman you like and build a crew, as detailed above.
  4. Once you succeed at a horror duel, you become immune to it, so it can only happen once per turn, per model.
  5. It's been my experience that demoing with a Master is usually too much for new players. The Starter is a great tool for demoing, but in the end it doesn't matter what you use, just as long as the people you're demoing the game to have fun and are able to understand the basics.
  6. I'd like to make a character that drives people to insanity by playing an instrument, but I'm not sure how to approach it mechanically. I think the Terror Immuto will be central to the build, but if you've got something more thematic, please do share.
  7. With Mimic racial modifiers for the Beckoner? Can I get those in a sidebar? Or...anywhichway.
  8. I'd like to see actual Neverborn pregenerated characters, I feel that Clover and Hiroto weren't especially thematic to the faction in Nythera.
  9. ...Mr. Graves can help you. And Surprisingly Loyal let's you use your Guardsmen as wound soa...bodyguards. What's not to like?
  10. Heh. On a related note, can stats and background for Guild Lawyers be expected in either book?
  11. Where does this put the Neverborn book? Last I saw it was supposed to come out after Bayou.
  12. Please review the first page of this topic. If you need a more detailed explanation, pm me.
  13. Welcome Kyle! May Fortune smile upon you from where ever the Gremlins have it stuffed currently.
  14. That would be too easy. Any more buffs would make him "competitive" and what's the point then? Winning? Winning should be a by-product of skill and guile, otherwise, what have you won exactly? Don't build your house upon the sand, but upon the rock it should stand.
  15. I'd like an option to record Henchmen led games.
  16. Because they're so good! I don't think I'd take more than one though.
  17. I like Mr. Graves or the Mysterious Emissary (summons Changelings). Doppleganger is basically fantastic, as has been mentioned thoroughly above.
  18. This is the answer to a question I didn't know I had.
  19. You might want to throw in an upgrade to make it harder to hit Mr. Graves, but otherwise I'm anxious to hear how it performs!
  20. Mr. Graves is a decent beater with some movement tricks, Mr. Tannen is a fantastic control piece is you can fit him in, and they have good synergy with each other. Keep Mr. Graves inside of Lucius' command bubble and watch the magic happen as your opponent has to discard a card to cheat against you positive flip fence-post-beatdown.
  21. Beckoners are bad for their cost in crews without Brilliance. My go-to for Lure is a Performer, or you could snag yourself a Lilitu. Keep the Doppleganger and drop a Lawyer if you must have a Lure on your crew.
  22. You've come to the right place, my friend! Lucius likes Mimics and Minions (outside of that guild stuff), so aim for that. Many here swear by the Illuminated, though I don't much care for them myself. However, something we all agree on is the Doppleganger, she should be a priority purchase. I've also found good use out of Mr. Graves. After that, Changelings make great scheme runners, force multipliers, and fodder for Lucius' abilities. The Mysterious Emissary makes Changelings and offers some fun board control. There's a few more models I would recommend, but that's a decent start for this year's Christmas list. If you need any further advice on themed Lucius lists, I'd be happy to lend a hand.
  23. Red Tape trigger on Lucius counts as control, think it's worth 1 for the spreadsheet?
  24. Jan 1st. I ordered: Tara, Void Wretches, Nothing Beast, Scion of the Void, Dead of Winter, Austringers, Rotten Belles, Lucius, The Scribe, and Misaki. I don't have all of them in my possession anymore, if you'd like me to double check any of them let me know.
  25. If it helps, I ordered my stuff individually, and it was all up-to-date.
