EZPainter- FOOLS GOLD "Who's There?"
EZPainter commented on EZPainter's gallery image in Round 1 - Fool's Gold
Thanks everybody, terrain has always been my strong point. The (entire) base is made from card and hot glue. Hot glue guns are basically 3-d printers if you use the right PERSPECTIVE. Look at it like one, and all of a sudden it is. Really has made my week to get such positive feedback. What do people think of ther lighting>? it's a bit intense but it's meant to represent "sunset" hour (in film terms "6 o clock ish") absolutely zero airbrushes or fancy techniques. -

If there is a limit on how much you can update then please let me know This is the "3-d print" aforementioned. I used a small glue gun to "print" out and sketch the details of the cliff face, the ground (being more mottled than the craggy cliff) and the river. I made the river a bit to central but it will be a fun challenge to get around THe "plinth" is a tropicana juice lid.

Got down and dirty today and 3-d printed with my glue gun a base for this model. i have designed a small creek and waterfall (gold collection source of course!!!) and I have converted the old west character to have a pickaxe too (taken from an airfix kit) This is gonna rock! can't wait to upload a w.i.p painting shot. (p.s. the primered glue is relatively reflective so the base is much more detailed and sculpted in real life. here it looks a little bit like a pile of stuff haha) Arthur- EZPainter

Hey guys felt artsy with my concept. its going to be converted old west miniature with beard added and a cutesy little diorama called "FOOLS GOLD "WHO'S THERE?"" or something similar. I'm going to make a prospector who is spinning to react to an intruder as he gathers his things at the end of a long work day. This model is highly inspired by two things. One: i have a bag of fools gold just sitting in my craft box waiting to be used....it seems....for this competition. And TWO: I LOVE J.T.EDSON western novels. Set-A-Foot is my favorite. But needles to say there is always a cool prospector character and one of my favorite in this series was a prospector who taught one the main characters to fish just before he was murded brutally by a friggin zombie. do you know what i will include a fishing rod just for that . So keep ya eyes peeled. Bits and bobs for the dioramas assembly will be posted tomorrow or day after! This is a total bits box raid! EZPainter out!
