  1. Yes, I didn't dare to order from them. Leisure games had fantastic customer service, but they didn't have it in stock. I have faith that Wyrd will reprint it soon. Same for one of their most iconic characters Lady J. They seems to be a small company and their output of new kits is amazing. I guess that with such schedule, production problems are a true nightmare and take a while to resolve.
  2. It's pretty obvious that The Guild Lawyer's attack is a homage to Phoenix Wright. I chuckle everytime someone uses it.
  3. Yes! for some reason I've been playing this wrong. You learn something every day Sorry for the derp.
  4. Terror Tots need Tomes to sprint. This is quite important for Lilith, because she loves her Masks. As for the best scheme runner, I don't think that there is such thing. It just comes to preference and what you are trying to the. Silurids are quite expensive, but their suitless leap is huge. Personally , I prefer Terror Tots, but I am eager to try the Gupps and Insidious Madness when they are out in plastic.
  5. Oh, I have switched factions already- i started with ressers, but I found them to be somewhat unexciting to play. I like the idea behind TT, Outcasts and Arcanists , but I am not sure if I would play anything else than Neverborn for now. I have almost painted my whole collection and starting the same process from scratch can be quite exhausting and will most likely lead to a total burnout. I believe that I should chalk this up to growing pains and continue focusing on NB. Valhalla, your other suggestions are quite solid, but I am not touching those filthy guild models! Joke aside, I don't feel comfortable playing with others' models and and I am not terribly excited about playing a faction that I don't like very much. That said, it's about time for me to start reading what the other guys can do, instead of just skimming through Pullmyfinger and calling it a day, And yes, the learning curve IS brutal. Which is quite comforting in a certain way. I am starting to realize that I am simply applying incorrectly my previous tabletop experience to Malifaux. Playing subpar factions in the past shouldn't be a crutch now, when all evidence is pointing to the fact the Malifaux is (at least) decently balanced.
  6. I was talking about his ability то give positive twists to WP duels. Well , your post seems to prove an Idea of friend of mine that everyone is scared of what the other guys can do.
  7. May statement about Sidir was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but he is yet another tool in the Guild's arsenal to help with WP duels.
  8. Lots of wisdom here. It helped me quite a lot. But just when I started to feel more confident in NB, I saw Sidir. Why, oh why ? Probably I am too fixated on The Guild. I should just let it go.
  9. Thank you for the replies! Lilith (my first master) is fantastic indeed. Maybe my doubts started to creep in, when I decided to learn the other masters, especially Pandora.... which coincided with my first game against Perdita I realize that I am still trapped in the killy mindset and caught myself always picking killy schemes, when they are available. As for the terrain ,we have more than enough, but I don't think we setup it in a good way. For some weird reason there is always an open area at the middle of the board (I blame WMH for that). Sadly, buying 1ed models is not an option. I don't like their look and I really want to support my FLGS. Its owner made a great effort to support our wargame community. As for converting stuff , I try to stay away from proxies, although I felt forced to convert Johan. Now captain Dashel wields a big hammer . I guess I have to suck it up and play with the models I have for now. Probably Pandora will stay in the box for a while. I should also acknowledge the steep learning curve. Thanks again!
  10. Hi there! I love Neverborn, I really do, but lately I fell like I am constantly outgunned, countered and almost every game is a struggle. Lack of Condition removal and ranged attacks are big part of the problem. Exploding models are the bane of my existence! I really love the idea of Pandora, but there seem to be lots of things out there that counter her a bit too hard. Taking her against Guild seems to be suicidal, because of those filthy Ortegas! Also having access only to the plastic range, I always feel like making compromises when building a crew, except when playing Jacob Lynch. This is valid for everyone in my position, but I can't help , but feel that some core options are missing from NB. The Depleted are nice and all, but where are the Stitched Togethers? I I love playing Malifaux and I think that it is the best miniature game out there, but I feel like I am banging my head against the wall. After my last game (against McMourning) I was about to ragequit Malifaux or ragebuy the Rasputina box Maybe I just don't get NB. Probably they don't fit my playstyle or something. There is possibility that I've brought my 40K baggage ,where I had the fantastic talent to start the worst factions and I am paranoid that the same is happening in Malifaux ( I am not sure that there is even a worst faction here). This can easily lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy, which can result in bad play on my part. The easiest solution is to let NB rest for a while and start another faction, but I don't think that it is a good idea, as I've just started Infinity and have lots of WMH to paint. I am not sure what is happening. I've never felt so confused, when it comes to miniature games. Just for the record- I own every non-promo NB plastic kit released for now and all of my playing group (me included) are noobies. Your input is greatly appreciated!
  11. I don't know how Wyrd operates, but I guess we will be seeing some of the Black Firday specials. Also , I think that the building instructions spoil things a bit. My money are on : Nekima, The Carver, Katanaka Snipers, Rogue Necromancy, The Desolation Engine, possibly the abominations and (I really hope) The Dreamer. This makes sense to me, but probably I am totally wrong
  12. Thanks for the replies! Has anyone tried Leisure Games?
  13. Frankly, I would get annoyed by the "It's flesh, not cloth" comment. When I decided to paint my Doppleganger, I knew that this was skin and yet I decided to paint it as cloth, because it provided better contrast than the whole flesh/flayed flesh/flesh theme. Such "feedback" wouldn't give me anything. It's not much different than " Nephilim should be bluish , not that fleshy tone you chose". In such cases this is an artistic choice and has nothing to do with the quality of the paintjob itself , thus the value of the feedback is questionable. This can come as condescending indeed, without the use of such phrases like "I would have preferred flesh Instead of cloth, but...". Otherwise there is the possible implication that you know better in an area were "better" doesn't exactly exist.
  14. Thanks for the suggestion Myyra! Do you have experience with that shop?
  15. I would love to, but he seems to be OOS everywhere in Europe.
  16. This is a sound advice. Frankly it was really my inexperience. I was a totally overwhelmed by what was happening on the table. It was one of those games that you lose ,even before the first turn. I have calmed since then and now am frantically searching for a proxy for Johan
  17. Happy New Year! May all you duels have ! Now on the matter at hand: I really want to start outcasts, but I am only interested in Von Schil and the Viktorias. The problem is that the Hired Swords is out of stock everywhere I check, apart from few scalpers (2000GPB for the box! Really?!). I know that there has been some scaling issues, but I believe that those were fixed. Element Games says on their page that the mold is broken. So, do you know anything about this? Any rumors when this will be released again? Sadly, it seems that the Viktorias are stuck in limbo with Lady J to keep them company.
  18. I would love to buy the Viktorias. as I love the concept of the crew, but it seems to be out of stock everywhere and I can't find anything about reprint. Any Ideas?
  19. Yes! This seems like a nice combo. Also Pneumatic Actuator helps getting around damage prevention, which NB seems to be lacking.
  20. Oh yes. I will buy the plastic Collodi the moment it hits the market, as I am not fan of the metal version. Also Vassilisa seems quite nice. Maybe the part of the problem is that not everything is re-released and I want to stick to the plastics.
  21. Isn't Huggy countered by Whispers from Beyond? Maybe The Rising Sun can help. Thanks for chiming in! My nerdrage has subsided and I will try to crack that particular nut more calmly the next time I face Kirai.
