Thanks! That does help, I was thinking of getting started with Northern Aggression after the intro in the book so it's good to know I am headed in the right direction. I will definitely be paying more attention to the adventures in the Wyrd Chronicles going forward, and I'll check out Cold Front. Thanks again for the suggestion!

I just picked up my copy yesterday and I absolutely agree with @Amberleigh 100% It is all the most amazing things about rulebooks that I love. Fantastic "velvety" hardcover, 3 ribbons and combining multiple books. That being said....this is my very first TTB book, although I have been playing Malifaux for several years, and am looking into starting a campaign (so way to set the bar very high Wyrd). Any tips on where to start? Aside from the core rulebook of course. I have never DM'd a day in my life so I am a bit nervous but everything seems to be laid out quite well for Fatmasters and the Fated without giving away too much... Thanks in advance!

Hello Everyone, I am very excited to announce that Adventure Games in Oshkosh, WI is hosting a Rapid Growth League during the month of September! We will be following the guidelines from Wyrd in their Organized Play Formats document. We will be officially meeting every Wednesday night from 5-9pm (if you are unable to make it during that time you can get a game in any night of the week, with a little preplanning). If anyone is unfamiliar with how this works here is a brief overview: Each week we will be increasing the point values of our games until we work our way up to 50 points. Each week, players in the league will play one of the other participants in an attempt to gain achievements. Whoever has the most achievement points at the end of all 4 weeks wins! We encourage players to do their best at building and painting their crews and you can earn achievements just by working on your crew. At the beginning of the league each player will declare a single faction which they will play throughout all 4 weeks. Week 1, September 7th: 26 Soulstones Week 2, September 14th: 30 Soulstones Week 3, September 21st, 40 Soulstones Week 4, September 28th, 50 Soulstones If anyone has any questions please feel free to PM me, or you can call Charlene at Adventure Games (920)231-3473. The much-loved Bingo the penguin has been convicted of mass murder and necromancy by the Guild, and punished accordingly. However, it was only after his execution and the disappearance of his corpse that it came to light that Bingo had a huge cache of Soulstones hidden somewhere. Now Crews from all over Malifaux are scrambling to find and reassemble the body of the penguin, so that with some necromantic coaxing, he can give up his secret. 30 SS of crew. A simple Strategy is flipped randomly, and you can spend a Soulstone for one re-flip if you want. One Scheme is chosen by the player, the second scheme is always Trick or Treat. With Trick or Treat, each player places three markers anywhere on the board at least 8" from their deployment zone. A model in base contact with a marker can use a (1) Interact action to remove the marker, and flip a card, this flip may not be cheated. If it's odd, then it’s a Trick and the marker is replaced with a Mindless Zombie. If it's even, then it’s a Treat--the crew acquires a penguin Body Part, and can claim a bag of sweets from the organizer. Parts gained are cumulative between games, and the first player to get seven should stand up and shout "Bingo!" to claim a special prize at the end of the day. Start Time 12:00pm FREE EVENT! Hey Everyone, I will be running a casual game day and Demos at Adventure Games! Event Starts at 12 but feel free to pop in and out anytime between noon and 6 on August 1st. 927 Oregon Street Oshkosh WI, 54902 We can do any size game you'd like, and I have been wanting to try out some scenarios from the Crossroads book if anyone is interested. We have a really great Malifaux group in our area and everyone is really friendly, so stop in and check it out!

FREE EVENT! Malifuax 2nd Edition has become really popular in our area so we decided to have a day dedicated to all you necromancers, goths, outcasts, henchmen, and fellow Malifaux lovers. This event will have no entry fee and will be set up round robin style, so anyone willing to teach, learn, or just play the game is welcome to join us! I can't wait to see everyone there!

I find myself in the same predicament! I can't decide whether to buy all the old models now so I can play with them right away, or wait who knows how long to get the new plastics that I may or may not like better...The Guild Peacekeeper for example. I really want to play with him but I am not 100% in love with the current sculpt. No one knows when the new one will come out and/or if I will even like that one even better. Being a newbie in the middle of a big release is not easy!
