  2. that is a pretty nice effect, toasty glow, like kerosene heater warmth; I'm waiting for airbrush parts to fix my Badger hoping to do try techniques like this. traditional wet blending acrylics is something I'm still trying to do just right and the airbrush effects all seem much finer and subtle...
  3. The color scheme is iconic and was immediately recognizable ; I honestly don't think I've ever thought of the gang zombified like that. lol. But, yeah, Scooby's base could use at a minimum a pile 'o bones. No Scooby! nooooooo...

The deep purple and light blue was the natural starting color of the smallest dried flowers I could find - some kind of dried Starflowers from Brazil, individually picked for size, cut/trimmed and glued to the stems, trunk and branches. The pink buds/stems were airbrushed using Citadel White Scar (thinned) and Aztech Fluorescent Pink airbrush paint using an Eclipse Neo gravity fed airbrush, trying to do a pink/white glow effect within the tree and branches. Some were flowers were washed with old Citadel blue (Asurmen Blue or Drakenhof Nightshade if I recall) depending on the cluster/transition from one area to the next...

You might want to try Gatorboard or Gatorfoam Board which is a little tougher the traditional paper foamboard... it usually has wood or plastic layers sandwiched around foam; it paints smoothly and cleanly and can be cut on the 45 or cut like Gusiado mentioned with a rabbet joint to make clean sharp edges.
