  1. ooooh these are amazing!! I love the rouge necromancy! And the wings on the cherub are GORGEOUS.
  2. Ok, that looks 27 levels of EPIC. So coool!! Must be so fun to have a game on this!!
  3. May I ask quickly, without derailing the thread - what is the difference between an Ink and a Wash? They appear very similar? Also - more puppet photos needed!! *grin*
  4. I will always lean towards the classic looking pinker Kenshin because that colour is what I associate with him. And of course!! Very exciting watching them come together *grin* And being able to discuss certain changes etc along the way!!
  5. That looks soooo boss. What have you made the rubble (rocks) out of??
  6. oooh I never really how big the staff actually was on her! I love it!! Good choice! She looks absolutely awesome. Can't wait to see Kenshin! He's an old favorite of mine *grin* Out of curiosity, do you sell off these? Or have a display for them?
  7. Got my Hoarcat Pride and Jackalope in the mail. Ehehehe. They are adorable. And my 'teaching me about all things miniature' friend who is also teaching me to paint, gave me two boxes of older/ex paints that they have either replaced or don't use often so that I have more than my 10-15 to learn at home. Yaaaay. Can't wait to paint something!
  8. Oh they came out lovely!! I love the top hat guy (not sure on his specific name if he has one). And the bases are beautiful.
  9. Actually this was exactly the guide a friend gave me to use!! It just...didn't turn out particularly well.... Don't get me wrong, awesome guide - haha the failing was my ability to get anything to work haha. Thanks for much for links! I shall save these and print them off me thinks for another attempt *grin*
  10. Wish I could paint dark skin like that!! Uuugh, attempting my first dark skin tone today painting Marcus. Results = Solidly awful. Might have to post him up and see if anyone has a way to fix him....
  11. Haha! I know this feeling!! But I think most of the time it's being too judgmental about your own work. If you posted yours I'd probably still think the same thing about putting mine up because yours are too nice!! Haha.
  12. Haha, I actually have no issues with how much she is or is not wearing. It's the g-string strap across her hips specifically that I think make her look tacky. That was all *grin*
  13. I am also very new to the world of basing!! What I have currently being doing is buying cheap 'hot pot' cork serving mats: And then tearing a piece off (or cutting, but it's easier enough to break up in your hands) and using that to paint as the base. It's...um...not as impressive as what a lot of others do, but it's nice to paint and dry brush and simple for me at this stage. *grin* It ends up looking some what like this after painting it brown (but hadn't detailed it yet). *Note: Sorry for the crappy image, it was the only one I had on hand of one I'd made! *Additional: Foot modeling by Miranda.
  14. Lord Chompy Bits. It will look amazing. *grin*
  15. Beautiful job on her dress. She looks awesome!! Baby Kade is such a creepy sculpt!! Can't wait to see how he comes along!
  16. Ooooh the Convict Gunslinger looks fantastic! I love his skin. And Wendigo looks amazing! *grin* And his base looks awesome!!
  17. Great idea! Never thought of doing something like this!
  18. Eeep! Haha, one of my friends that has been into miniatures since forever asked if they could put together and paint one of my puppet crew. Me thinks they will be getting Death Marshal hahaha. Thankyou very much! Will remember to keep him a bit more separate for painting.I've made this mistake in the past....doesn't end well. Oh thanks! That thread is awesome! Jealous~!
  19. HAha! In that case I appear to have not noticed before now! I maintain the statement, but retract any comparison to older models.
  20. Oh they look awesome!! I also have no idea how to paint fire so I've been dreading doing the flame in Marcus' hand, but I love how the white undercoat makes the fire look like it's glowing!! I might have to steal that technique and try it when I try to do some flames too!! *grin*
  21. I was actually the opposite. First thing I did when I saw the new Rasputina was put in an order to ensure I had the previous normal and alt copies of her. It's not that I dislike the new one, I just prefer the older ones. And that and she reminds me of the main Spellcaster from Warmachine's Khador faction.
  22. To be entirely honest, I hadn't actually even noticed that some of the characters had become a bit more...er..naked since their overhaul. But - the burlesque, lingerie, steampunk type look to the characters is what really drew me in in the first place. I don't like the cheesy, you can see my g-string thing that the Vik you posted has, as I think it makes her look less beware-fighting-pro, more rebellious drug addicted teen. I would be worried if it got excessive - but at the moment I think that mostly they look great!! My biggest issue with the new art is the Sabertooth Cerberus. What's with the cop out of making him a fluffy snow tiger? Made me sad to lose the jungle theme I gave my existing Chimera crew.
  23. Ooooh I love the piglets!! I'm such a fan of these anyway, but you've really done them justice. They look gorgeous on their little impressive bases!
  24. Capt Fiddlybits looks AWESOME!! I love how you've shaded his jacket! Ooooh, excited to see your other puppets! *grin*
