Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of hardcore, but it does offer quick, fast paced, sweat inducing games of desperation, and that sounds fun to me. FAQ: What's hardcore? It's a 20ss Henchman led crew consisting of four models, and only four models. No model may be repeated. And you must use the same list throughout the day, so get nasty with it. You can still buy upgrades but beware, any excess SS you have left is not added to your cache. Also, summoning is not allowed, any action taken to summon a model considers the model summoned instantly killed. All games are close deployment, with Turf War being the strategy and Assassinate the only scheme. And lastly, models must be painted. Can I have less than 4 models? No What size do we play on? Hardcore is on a 2x2 area rather than 3x3 Why no summoning, does that include stuff like Coryphee duet? It's hardcore nightmare, just the way it is. Any action that summons a model is void. Sacrificing two coryphee will not summon a duet, just like killing Ashes and Dust will not summon the individual components. This seems broken... That's why it's hardcore nightmare You will get hard matchups, but you'll also be the hard matchup at times too. How long are the games? Games will be 30min long Totems? Like what Zfiend and others have said, whenever I've built lists to maximize and exploit ace in the hole the aces never appear, so be wary of that chance. If it's just for fun go ahead, I'd like to see the result of this too.

I ran a tourny called Fraserfaux which had a pretty decent turnout for it's location. Not as many as I hoped (last minute cancellations) but some players had driven 4 hours to arrive so overly happy with their efforts. Lots of games were played and many smiling faces. We had an absolute tonne of prizes and fun and even gave the menu a little twist. Oh yeah and cake. Some of the photo's Afterwards I went and visited some friends and they wanted to see about this game I ran, so basically demo'd a game right there at their place and looks like I got a new Arcanist and Resser to add to my players. Before the effects of the weekend wore off I found myself buying a translucent pandora crew from A Wyrd Place member. Pretty awesome weekend.

ten thunder lucas mccabe is missing badge of speed from upgrades.

ten thunders have a few gremlin models appearing as choices regardless of master. namely bayou gator, rooster rider, lucky effigy, the sow, and wild boar awesome work having it updated so quickly though!

Towards the end of the beta I started using Mr Tannen in all my Ten Thunder lists. I just found his cooler ability so useful that his seemingly squishiness never bothered me. I would suggest going against your initial instinct of protecting him and get him into the thick of it even though he is a big target. I had a game recently where Lilith emptied her entire control hand and activation just trying to kill Mr Tannen and still failed. His Yawn trigger is useful too against the usual suspects. tldr: ignore squishy, get him in there

Haven't fully looked through it but I was pretty happy with everything at the end of beta. The brothers do look awesome now. Not sure how I feel about Kamaitachi at first glance.

I might just add my name here too then in case I get slipped over. No rush though.

Fraser Coast Malifaux players and beginners are welcomed to participate in a Slow Grow themed Campaign league being run fortnightly on Saturdays from 4th of January to the 12th of April. love this idea, looking forward to it. keep in mind lucius is dual faction now, so might be some models in neverborn that can fill it out. not caught up on neverborn but Nekima comes to mind abilities wise for possibly alucard, mr tannen is good for walter, maybe tuco for seras?

Two quick things my group would like to check. When casting a spell and the flip doesnt meet the TN, can you cheat in a card to meet it? Does this count as the single time you can cheat in a duel? and for randomisng targets with a SH, can you cheat the flips? Cheating in a lower card for the target etc. Thanks in advance

looks ok. I like to take Shang along too for his rush of magic and misaki heals. While soulstones are great, Misaki can sometimes risk lower caches as she gains bonuses to defense flips and a suit for her MI when she runs out.
