  1. Nice start! Looking forward to see more progress on this one.
  2. Hi Wd. I missed out on your tunnel bridge. Just loving it! The Crane still is your number one piece though.
  3. @ The dwarf: Thanks. I'm working on some hills as we speak actually. And i do believe some great stuff could be done with CDs. @ u was like me: a valley spanning trestle would really be something. Something for the next table 1.5. I guess.
  4. Finaly got to present the table at our little con. Some closeups And here's yours truly running 2.0 demos (left)
  5. It is difficult to see properly with your blitz turned on. (but the rest of the setup with background for your photo is top notch). A glimmer of small golden stars on his hat sounds good, but so does a few chinese symbols I guess. If you were to put more work into it, I would give the robe a second highlight and maybe some shading under his armpit too.
  6. Railway Viaduct finished and more hills are underway
  7. Hi. Thanks for updating the Malifaux page on Wikipedia.

  8. And with some paint and gravel on ...
  9. This looks interesting, and the photos are great too. Nice toutch with the black cloth.
  10. Arcon is the main Norwegian gaming Con held in Oslo in June from Friday 21st to Sunday 24th for the 29th consecutive year. For the first time, Malifaux will be presented at the Con with demos on Saturday 22nd.
  11. I'm holding Malifaux demos at OMSK (Oslo Miniatyrspillklubb) Tuesday May 21st from 5 PM.
  12. Working with some Miners bits, plastic rods and fine wire gave some interesting results. Grey Stuff makes the bits stick to a 30 mm base while building it up a bit. But something is amiss. More Wires! Here's the wiring finished and (dis)arming can commence.
  13. I've been doing a bit of shared line in the sand lately for my demo gaming, and am feeling the need for say five dynamite markers. Who doesen't? Anyways. Hitting my old dwarven bit box and playing with some wire and plastic rods, I'm getting some stuff together. I've found some great inspiration on this site, but guess more is out there. And are there more people than me wondering if cloudfang got some of his markers painted? Pictures of my own progress are comming, but for now I can only drool a bit on this one: And there's these These are nice too. And then there's these very cool general strategy markers
  14. More on the railway viaduct... It's time for som nailing. The hole punches tends to make too big nails, so for this project I'm going for steel pins. Cut to 5 mm they can be pushed into the wood.
  15. A rough'n ready mine is added to one end of the railway While not actually finished, the two terrain pieces can be presented on a demo tomorrow
  16. The painting has begun. The cobbles get some sand inbetween, brushed around with a dry brush to get into all crevices. The railway is secured according to regulations On a different note a few terrain pieces are taking form. A raliway viaduct and a hill
  17. Wohoo. Feedback! Most of the joints are hidden after I replaced some cobbles. The rest should be masked after sand is added. Status after some spackle touch up
  18. Great table. Reminds me of Wyrd's own
  19. @ THE Dwarf: That truly is an amazing table. And with a completely different focus than mine Warmaster OJB has an eye for the whole gaming experience where I work mainly with the visual impression of the gaming surface itself while trying to avoid impede the playability too much. The streets are finally fully stamped counting 3-4 000 cobbles all in all. To obtain the obligatory curving of the road surface, strips of 3 mm foamboard are added underneath the center before gluing the cobbled sheets on. (Don't mind the gator looking paperweight from a slightly competing range.) The torn soil is transferred to the street wimply by tearing the foamboard after engraving. Joints are still too visible, but will be covered up by replacing the cobbles concerned. ... And this is how it looks. What remains now is only to glue on the last terrain sheets, replace some cobbles, sparcle up some joints, give the whole table an undercoat, paint, sprincle and watering before ‘ard coating the whole thing … In other words: shortly finished.
  20. With deadline set at 8th of April it is time for an update.. (Someone is eyeing the knife in the top of the picture) Pipelines will justify some water and plant life in an otherwize dry area. To prevent white plaster showing add a dash of pigment before adding water to the plaster. The pipes are pressed into a dough of paint, spackle and glue and given a nice little sprinkle of rubble. The same dough does the job of broken and torn soil. Smear it on like a kake frosting before stippling it with a wet brush to remove telltale marks. It cracks upon dryng and can be broken further before glued on the base. Delicious, isn't it?
  21. A crew from Oslo Miniatyrspillklubb (OMSK) will be down at the gaming club (Spillkameratene) at Hoyskolen i Oslo (Oslo University College) from 17:00 monday April 8th to demonstrate Malifaux. Hopefully the new demo table will be ready by then.
  22. You could off course also consider (after following Omenbringer's advice) adding pigment powders or some fine dirt after washing to add to that gritty realistic felling. Brush it around so it sets in the recesses.
  23. Warband number two (apart from some minor detailing that is) Why I run this thread hear rather than over at the Showcase is beyond me, but it might be because these miniatures are in no way showcase material. Yet. Well, Perdita, eat dust! Here comes Ophelia LaCroix and her cousins!
