With the calendar filling up as it is the question is really finding a date for it . Will start looking at possible venues for it. I know Mark tried to do one at is school but being Mark things never moved up

I would be up for some games in Cambridge as travel arrangements for this seem complicated. I am sure at least Renato would be up for it and also probably another couple from my club may be up for it. What did you had in mind a formal tournament, story encounter or just a couple of games somewhere for shits and giggles

Just went to college to pick my post to find a nice big package from Firestorm Games. Actually I would avoid Wayland games at all costs. Otherwise your giftee may never receive anything on time. I would recommend element games, firestorm games or the troll trader

Just a correction here. Actually Hoffman can only hire Arcanist constructs with the M&SU characteristic. As for the fluff it has already been covered pretty extensively but don't forget that Hoffman actually blames Ramos for what happened to his brother. And all it is doing for Guild is basic an attempt to try and undo whatever happen to his brother

Since he came out I have been playing him almost exclusive in tournaments. He was my favourite master in 1.5 and still is in M2E. If you check my rankings you will easily understand why. The way I play him is always with a destruction ball with the Peacekeeper, Hoffman and Guardian. It is a lot of points and its main weakness are he can be easily swarmed by summoners and as always was stay far away from models that can ignore armour. But I use this ball mainly for distraction. A peacekeeper with Df and Defensive +2 will take a lot of punishment, add to that the ability of both Hoffman and Guardian to heal him and your opponent will be wasting a lot of activations dealing with that. Meanwhile my watcher and/or SS miner will be achieving my scheme points. Watcher with Programmed directive is one of the best scheme runners on the game. It is also easy to hide with height one. The soulstone miner is also another one of the models that puts your opponent at a back foot as you can choose to have him pop out at a location he left open.

If you can find boards i may be able to sort you with enough terrain for two tables

The only thing I don't like is the single foot touching the ground. Specially when that foot is just a bone. Do have to agree looks fantastic and will probably end up buying one

To be honest it just a seems a first play syndrome which malifaux suffers quite a lot with. It is one of those games that really gain from the interactions between models and often if some tricks are easier/more obvious it will tend to feel overpowered. There is also a fair bit of paper/rock/scissors and with the absence of one good list for everything it is normal to play a few games feeling there isn't nothing you can do. Then you may see a battle report or read a tactics thread and realize there is a lot more things you can which you didn't even realize.So my advice is read the pullmyfinger wiki and play a few more games. The unbalance feeling will quickly disappear

Thank you Mike for another great weekend of gaming. As some of the people already mentioned some of the achievements need a enemy models statement and I would also probably change the kill 3 minions to kill 3 non master models as I feel a lot of the times you just don't play enough minions and with fixed games a lot of the times you only play a lot of the factions once. I also felt a lot of the master schemes were quite hard to get for almost no points so maybe tweaking them a bit. I did like the fixed games but for time reasons I do wonder where it wouldn't simple be better to have fixed strategy/schemes at each of them which would result in less time setting up. Giving scores at the end of the day may help reducing admin time as well so definitely agree on that one. But to be honest this are minor complaints as I really enjoyed the weekend and it is always great to have some time with people you only know the names from forums and twitter. Will definitely try to be back next year just need to keep my fingers crossed for the raffle.
