  1. I've got a WIP Peacekeeper that I thought I would share (he's been at this stage for a month or so im ashamed to say) as well as the beginning of my Hoffman crew. The Peacekeeper is based on a sewer style of base, and I will carry this throughout the Guild Constructs. The idea of Hoffman working on his creations in some kind of mad engineer's laboratory, is one that I really like I also added some 'charging points' to the Peacekeeper, as he was giving me a very 'Igor' vibe, and I love the idea of him getting recharge via some mad lightning conducting thing… I like the background/character of Hoffman and his constructs and I caved in and bought with some cash I received from family at Xmas. I went ahead and made Ryle and the Guardian first, along with their bases. Just missing greenstuff topping to take flagstone details. I'll post more WIP and progress as soon as I get time to work on things a little more. I also have a Lilith crew that's taking at least some of my hobby time at the moment too Cheers Lofty
  2. Once I've picked up my jaw from the floor, I need to earn to love my own Lady Justice again ;_; Props, that is beautiful
  3. This is great, looking forward to seeing the finished huggy
  4. That's definitely the intention. I'm glad that comes across, thank you
  5. As promised, I've taken some photos of my current Guild collection. The only things not featured here are a Lone Marshall, the Pale Rider, Peacekeeper, Alternative Francisco and the Brutal Effigy. I will hopefully have time to finish a few of them soon enough, and they may well end up in a WIP post before then Excuse the makeshift light box. First up, my favourite Crew box (minus totem which I've never used but is at least part way painted) Lady Justice. This was my first crew and the master I've played the most with and learned the game with. Next we Have Sonnia Criid. I really like the shift in play style from melee aggression to powerful caster Next up is Dashel and the Guild Guards from Lucius' box. No real interest in playing Lucius really, but he can apparently run a Nephilim grow list reasonably successfully. (Have I alluded to future revelation?. quell horreur). Anyway, Dashel works well with the Guards and riflemen. Yes I know the raptor isn't attached the Austringer properly. I'm not yet ready to talk about Austringer assembly I've yet to use the exorcists successfully but the riflemen consistently do well when I bring them The mainstays of my Justice/Sonnia crews the 0 upgrade on the executioner is ridiculous Lastly I have the starter box Guild miniatures. My wife and I bought the starter box to help her learn the game :). I really like the dirty white on these guys. Just need to decide what a hospital floor colour would be in Malifaux :/ More to follow as I finish them Lofty
  6. Thank you Yes, the base is cork sheet with greenstuff over the top, which I then shape in to flagstones. My other Guild miniatures also have cobbles which i press into greenstuff. I will try and get some more pictures up today which will show this. For now, see below pic of pre-paint bases i prepared for my Lady Justice crew.
  7. I took 'Rule of law' to represent the honking great sword (range 2) , and the 'Never Bluff a Six-gun' to be the same concept as the Judges gunblade trigger? But you're right, it does have the Sh skill attached. *shrug Thanks for the kind words
  8. Thanks very much. Felt like a bit of a gamble but it seems to have paid off ok
  9. I wanted to try and replicate the old metal Judge's weapon, but then inspiration took me down and alternative route I've got a couple of days home by myself before Xmas, so hoping to also get my Peacekeeper, Lone Marshall and Pale Rider finally complete.
  10. I Just found it quite plain for something I guess is intended to be a centerpiece. All's well that ends well, it was fun to convert and I think it looks pretty good if I say so myself. Hoping to get some half decent photos taken this weekend so will Update Sunday most likely
  11. Thanks very much. I think it definitely looks better than the stock sword. In my opinion it always looked like a placeholder in the digital sculpt that never got finished. Lofty
  12. Hi All I have lurked on the forums for a long time, and have finally mustered the courage to share my models with you all. I haven't got photos worth sharing other than my Brutal Emissary for whom I made a custom 'gunblade' type weapon to replace the simplistic blade it has as standard. Hopefully will be photographing the rest of my miniatures over the weekend/Xmas holiday days. I looked around at great knives on the internet, and ended up being heavily influenced by Pyramid head's knife from Silent Hill. I measured out the existing blade and marked off the dimensions on some thin plasticard. I sketched out what I wanted and cut the first layer of card to this shape. I repeated the process with two thicker pieces of plastic and glued them to either side to give me a rough shape. From here, I started to carve and file the contours into the blade to give it an edge and tip. I wanted to represent the ‘never bluff a six gun’ ability so I added more plasticard pipe, cut and greenstuffed until I was happy. At this stage, I'm still so shocked that I haven't completely ruined the model and been left with no weapon for him, so I forge ahead and start to embellish with greenstuff and attach it to the miniature. And here is the finished product, of which I’m immensely proud Thanks Lofty
  13. Cheer s:) I'll report back once I've got the crew up and running, might be December though as we are going away at the end of the month and im waiting for a kickstarter to deliver so i can start basing the Neverborn
  14. That might be the best suggestion, navigating the rulebooks using the index alone is a bit of a pain at times
  15. Thanks for the advice I'm still assembling the models, so once I've got some games in i might see the need for variation. Cheers
  16. Thanks again. I assume that's the larger rule book rather than the 'mini' one? Which is possibly why we couldn't find it too. Cheers
  17. Hi Guys I've been playing lady Justice since I started playing M2e at the beginning of the year, and I play Sonnia as well now that I am familiar with the game rules. I fancied a change from the guild and their direct approach to the game and after listening to the schemes and stones podcast for Lilith, I ended up buying the below, some that I like the look of, some as advised in the podcast Lilith box Nekima Nephilim box Mr Graves Doppleganger Primordial magic Johan Mysterious effigy Waldgeists I was just wondering if Lilith is weak enough at some schemes/strats (my friends and I only use the standard schemes, and haven't started learning gaining grounds yet) to warrant a second master for choice? If so, could you please recommend one that would play nice with the models I already have? I suspect Zoraida will be mentioned as Silurids are good for both I think... Cheers
  18. Fantastic, thanks. Do you have a page reference/what heading this comes under in the rules please?
  19. I had a game recently in which a guild autopsy had one hit point at the end of the turn, more than one poison, but also burning plus one. When should the burning damage take place versus the heal from the poison? we ended up using the 'order of maths' to resolve it and said he healed one then took the 1 burning damage but im sure this must have come up somewhere before and have a better answer? Thanks
  20. Yeah the glow effect is amazing, I like that it's also on the far right guy too. Also a fan of Graves' eyes
  21. From what I can see onmy mobile screen, these look great. Nice clean colours, I really like Jacob's hand of cards/magic cloud effect.
  22. Looking great so far, I like how you've batched everything. Looking forward to seeing how you do the skintones
  23. Every time I visit these forums I'm inspired to keep painting and keep (hopefully) getting better. Seriously nice work mate
