My only concern with the Steel Legion is the cost. In an already elite army, that puts a big dent in the available pool.

What did everyone pick up from the KS for a starting force? So far I've just got the Commander pledge plus a box of Electrocutioners. I am thinking of running mainly infantry to offset the high cost of squads. Any thoughts on essentials or multiple units to purchase?

Quick question. Why does Banasuva have a cost? He has to be summoned so will never need a SS cost, or am I missing something pretty important?

Obsidian Oni are great with her, as is Toshiro summoning Komainu. The Shadow Emissary is a standout with her and Toshiro for summoning antics. As said above, Recalled Training is cheap and nice.

Have you found a good store to play at in the NoVA area? I just moved back here and none of the stores around seem to even carry a decent selection of models.

Just like the title says, are there any TTB groups near the DC area? Moving there soon and would like to look into new gaming places/RPG groups. Thanks!

Just like the last book, the fluff so far has been outstanding. The last (main) story is fairly awesome, although Lucius came off weirdly when he was dancing around. It was the only misstep I thought. He seems like the big bad dude and he will be in charge now....and he dances? Although the bit about his fingers gouging the walls where he danced was super creepy and I did like that. The "birth" of the new Emissaries was awesome. My favorite was the Arcanist version, it seemed very much a representative of wild magic. I did not understand why Zoraida thought she was going to die....she didn't. The 10T story was a good example of how cruel that (my favorite) faction can be. However I don't agree that they are any more evil that any other faction. Especially in a world where Witchling Stalkers, Resurrectionists, and Ramos feeding people to Rasputina's pets are things. I haven't read all of the faction stories yet...I need more time! I almost want to go slower reading them because they have been so good.

Is anyone going to be running either of the two one shots at gencon? I didn't make it in time to sign up for the long adventures, but still really want to get in and learn the game with other malifaux fans.

Molly & Kirai clean up the mean streets was an awesome story. By itself made me want to play those two. I enjoyed Shenlong, he is a bad man. Mah Tucket...hilarious. I know it isn't part of the stories but..."she can smell your fear" is maybe one of the best lines from the book. All of the Outcast stories were creepy. I haven't read all the stories yet, but so far, great writing. The writing from the last book is what got my wife into the game, and it just got better.

Also the lower the cost of the model the better flashing sabre becomes. In my opinion anyway. I haven't used the LR Monks outside McCabe though, and it was only one game.....but I enjoyed it haha.

The end of turn shot really helps the mobility of the archers I think. They really seem worth the SS now.

The Game Matrix in Tacoma actually has a very decent stock of models. I was there yesterday and they had almost all the M2e boxes. I don't know if anyone plays there, but I will check it out again.

Olympic Cards and Comics is a fantastic store, one of the better ones I have ever been to. They don't have much Malifaux in stock though, and I was told only a couple players.

I agree with Razhem about using three of any model. Somewhat off-topic, but does anyone use three archers or three torakage (outside the box set matchups)? Back on topic, I haven't played with many of the wave 2 models, but the Tengu look really fun with Misaki.

Ten Thunders and Gremlins. Does that make it better haha?
