  1. Does anyone know if it has hiring restrictions like the Coryphee? One of our group is anxiously awaiting news
  2. I'm stoked to get Yin for my Seamus crew - giving him anaethema and willpower lowering seems pretty great for disruption, and ... I prefer to have him surrounded by ladies, with bodies or not
  3. I've only used my Seamus 2 times (just got his crew painted up) but he hasn't been red jokered that way yet. I do find that his crew cycles cards like crazy when they're getting hit though and I get that focused fire on Seamus that hits will eventually hit a red joker on damage - but... they have to catch him first
  4. That is my next purchase, I do believe =)
  5. I figured that would be the case with him - but his minis are my faves so I'll just have to learn to like the play style
  6. I'm an old hand at euro and ameritrash board games, but the closest thing to a miniature game that my friends have played is descent. We all just jumped ship from CCGs to Malifaux and I ended up with 4-ish crews (go big or go home I figure): Colette's boxed set + Doves Viktorias + Ronin blister, Taelor, Misaki, and von Schill Seamus Box + Hanged McMourning Box + Bete Noire I've really only tested out Colette and had fun jumping about although I think I'd like a bit more killing in my crew... Right now I'm painting up Seamus and figuring out how to play him against the crews my buddies bought: Hoffman The Dreamer Lillith Perdita Lady Justice Rasputina Kirai In any case, I'm really enjoying the minis and the 2 pseudo games that I played were fun too - looking forward to setting up campaign style games once we get the rules down a bit better. Cheers from Calgary
  7. thanks - I'll have to check that book out. I've watched a few youtube videos of people painting and it always looks easy until I try to put it into practice
  8. I'm not an expert painter and Malifaux is my first mini's game - I still don't really understand highlights and lowlights and tend to just ink over a base colour, but I liked how this one turned out.
