  1. Thanks for your input kannachan. As you say, the design's not really the right one though :/ Might need to convert or just build from scratch (oh boy, this is going to be ugly XD )
  2. Hello everyone, I just had the idea of proxying Hamelin the Plagued for Slenderman, mostly because of his interaction with the Stolen. For those who don't know, Slenderman is a tall, thin man, wearing a black business suit, with a featureless white face. Any ideas of where I could find a mini that looks somewhat like that?
  3. Welcome to the game First of all, I recommend you have a look at Lilith's entry on the pullmyfinger wiki to get an idea of how to play her and her minions. Secondly, I would recommend you get a totem. She can either use the Malifaux Cherub or the Primordial Magic. Both are very similar to one another, but you'll find more details on the wiki. Loxley's suggestion of getting some Young Nephilims is spot-on. Sometimes you'll want to grow your Tots, and you'll need the approriate models for that, right? :3 Barring that, Lilith is a good all-arounder - she can fit nearly any Neverborn minion in her crew. Tuco is a good choice if you want some ranged options, Stitched-Togethers if you want to target willpower, Coppelius if you want to Paralyse, or you could even grab some Desperate Mercenaries to kill and get blood from early on. All the best
  4. In many cases when using Lilith I find the answer to a problem is "use Transposition". Firstly, use your totem to Transposition Nix next to your Lilith before he activates and puts up his annoying negative flips aura. Don't forget to companion her, and you have a dead Nix. Of course, a smart opponent will just hide Nix away from your totem. No matter, use Lilith to transposition, and put Nix next to your heavy-hitters, making sure to Brood Mother them. Might be a bit harder to kill him due to no magical weapons, but it's still feasible. Then, dealing with Hamelin. First of all, keep in mind you don't have to kill him. Lilith, Terror Tots and a good number of Neverborn models are speedy enough to be able to avoid him. If you DO have to get rid of him, once again my answer is transposition. Get the Black Blood Shaman to turn Coppelius into a Nephilim, brood mother him and put him next to Hamelin. With three Cb 6 attacks, chances are you'll hit him. Remember your automatic Paralysis trigger and Hamelin is screwed. If Hamelin does his best to resist, you may well have gotten rid of 3 of his Soulstones in one shot, which ought to give you a distinct advantage. Keep in mind that models who become terryfied in Coppelius' vicinity take 3 Wds though - you may end up helping him place his rats in favourable positions if you're not careful. Another option is to use Teddy in conjunction with the Black Blood Shaman. Turn Teddy into a Nephilim, Brood Mother and Transposition him, then Flurry Hamelin for 3 Cb 7 blows. No Paralysis this time though, so this method isn't my preferred one. However he does have Terrifying and doesn't deal damage from it, so it will also allow you to mess with his rats placement. You could also hire Von Schill. With Stubborn and Use Soulstones, he ought to be able to resist when Hamelin tries to make him insignificant, and he's good enough in combat to be a threat too. In addition, if you're wondering how to prevent Hamelin from constantly cheating winning cards, it's simple enough - don't cheat during the second and third turn. Chances are his hand will be completely empty by then, and you'll have grown a very powerful hand by discarding the low cards at the beginning of your draw phases.
  5. Inb4 magicpockets. You have something of a conundrum here. On the one hand, if you really want to play it through Blight counters, I would seriously recommend Rat-Catchers to strenghten the rats and increase the number of activations they get. On the other hand, if you don't want to deal with the endless swarm of rats, increasing the number of activations wouldn't appeal to you. You may want to have a look at his avatar. He pretty much revolves around the Blight. Another option, more combat-oriented, is to grab a couple Terror Tots. With just one rat, you can get a Mature Nephilim and a Young Mephilim on the field in just one turn (provided you get the right cards, of course)
  6. Keep in mind that this only works for spells cast from a friendly unit to another friendly unit. You can't choose to fail anything else done by another friendly unit and you can't choose to fail a spell cast by an ennemy (unless you cheat low).
  7. Dangit, why couldn't you wait for one more month D: I'll still be working in France by then Still, I think I know a few people who may be interested
  8. Yep, that was one of the main reasons for the rules change. No more eternal buffs.
  9. I think that's why he brought the Brutal Effigy - Neverborn are very short of healing models, but they can hire this one from the Guild at no cost
  10. Couldn't use flay, it needs 2 masks to pull off and the Bash doesn't have one to start with. Diving Charge is still possible though.
  11. RM page 10: "A totem is sacrificed immediately if the Master or Henchman it is connected to is removed from the game" As far as I know, dying counts as being removed from the game, so I'd argue his totem disappears.
  12. A very intriguing idea Just to be clear, when you say you spawned 3-4 forests, you do mean you moved the Illusionary forest around, not that you accumulated them, right? Can't accumulate them For further development, you could consider the Doppleganger - copy link without Life Leech and you have another Transpositionable model that won't hurt you. Also works as an additional damage-dealer if you copy Lilith's weapon (though you do keep the DG's Cb :/ ) Another option is Coppelius, who could go around Paralyzing clumps of enemies or straggers.
  13. Actually the "resist flips" thing only applies to Spells (p18 of the RM). Nevertheless disengaging Strikes are still Strikes and therefore they count as attacks.
  14. Just checking for clarity's sake: by "The Hangover" do you mean "Ow my head hurts/Oh, I drank too much/Oh, what did I do last night/etc" or are we allowed to use other definitions of the word?
  15. Keep in mind, also, that since the Stitched didn't die, you still get to spend any remaining AP for this activation. Then he'll re-activate for more pain.
  16. I'm throwing my hat in there. Let's see how far I can go :1_Happy_Puppet1:
  17. The bury errata made it so that you couldn't companion the Dreamer, then bury and unbury him, without forfeiting his activation. What it effectively means, as Ozz says, is that the range on the slingshot/yo-yo is shorter.
  18. A Strike is a targetted action, thus can only be performed if the model performing it has LoS to its intended target, whether it be disengaging or not (unless the card says otherwise).
  19. You've companioned two Daydreams. Once Chompy is done chomping, one of the Daydreams (the closest to him) gets close enough to Chompy to use (0) Calm Nightmares to replace him with the Dreamer. The second Daydream then activates and can sacrifice itself to bring Chompy out again, far away from where he was a second ago. The issue is that you have very tall Monstrosity trying to stand behind cover, but at least he's far away from people who can retaliate.
  20. I've been thinking of trying my hand out at some Malifaux stories. This would give me the perfect incentive In short, yes please
  21. Her avatar might enjoy it though. That thing's not allowed to move even if Chuck Norris demands it.
  22. Hamelin isn't all about Insignificant though. Sure, it helps to make ennemy models Insignificant, but the main reason I ever do this is to make the most dangerous combat threat completely irrelevant (with the spell that forces the target to target Hamelin rather than anyone else, combined with Hamelin not being targettable by Insignificant models). But Marionettes are already Ht1, so they can't target Hamelin even if they stop being Insignificant. All he needs to do is get them inside his melee range and then they're in trouble - can't attack him, and one of them will have to disengage before the others can follow with Pushes. Hamelin's Cb being higher than the Marionettes' Df, he'll hit on average, which means a Marionette will probably have to Cheat to get out, which means Hamelin will get more cards, whilst slowly beating Collodi's forces to death with his stick :/
  23. Well, the Rats are Living with Wp 4 and no special rule on their card that restrict hiring, so I see no reason why Zoroida couldn't enthrall them. I can see a potential bloodbag to help a few Nephilims grow or mature, but then again for the same cost you have the Desperate Merc who's a lot more useful, though has more Wds.
