  1. Personally I have made available the rankings for peon, minion etc as well as for routine, easy, etc. and give enough details for the Fated to determine how important who or what they're intarcting with is. This means only I know the exact number but the Fated can still get a decent idea of what the TN is. If they're interacting with a recurring character, chances are they have a good idea of his stats and can cheat accordingly. If it's not a recurring character, they'll only cheat if the challenge is important, and important challanges justify using high cards to succeed, so not knowing the exact TN isn't problematic. If it's not a character but a situation, they have a rough idea based on how routine/difficult the task is for them. Again, if it's important it warrants cheating high, otherwise it doesn't.
  2. Man, I'm glad I always read the descriptions. Those were entertaining to read
  3. A while ago I bought a friend the Lillith box set as well as the rest of the useful models for a growth crew (Young Nephs, Shaman, Desperate Merc) and Lillith's avatar. I also let him dip into my models whenever he wants. I have most Neverborn models barring Lynch, Sorrows and the Silurid group. Yesterday I played Collette against him and he got rather soundly trumped, partly due to an unlucky soulstone flip defending against a Mannequin replacement on Lillith. What would you recommend I advise him to do to have better odds against Collette? Changing crew selection, different in-game tactics, etc...
  4. Have a look at Luicidicide's playguide It helped me out a bunch when I tried out Levi.
  5. Can't help you much pricewise, but if you want the best price I'd suggest you wait a few months until Gencon is over. People are likely to be saving to buy all the cool new toys at the moment.
  6. Miss Nomer. Who turns out to be a male model.
  7. Thanks for your help, everyone. I'll assume it's in California then, and modify my work accordingly. If things go smoothly, you may see my first jab at a story here in the near future
  8. Hello people, I've finally started to work on a written piece (took me long enough) and want to make sure I have things right. Do we have any official indication as to where the Breach is on Earth? I am under the impression that it is in the USA, but don't know if that is true, and if it is, don't have any more details than this. Can anyone with a keener eye or memory than mine help me out?
  9. In the unlikely event that you don't find a buyer, can you please keep me in mind for the Mounted McCabe model? It's the only model from the box set I'm looking for and I'd rather not get all of them if I can avoid it.
  10. Hello people, I'm planning to paint all currently existing horseback models in a very specific theme. I currently own all Riders, including aLevi; I only need the mounted version of McCabe to complete my collection, but I'd rather not buy the box set considering I don't plan on extending into Guild nor 10T anytime soon. If anyone in Europe is willing to part with their model, I'm prepared to give fair compensation.
  11. The way I understand it, the rule relating to Trap deployment is only if you deploy them individually. If you use the Trapper to deploy them, I would argue it overrules their placement rules. Though I'd recommend waiting for a second opinion - I'm only loosely familiar with these models.
  12. Miss Aligned. Don't worry, the plastic sculpts will get better eventually. ^^
  13. I would bring her to every Lilith game if only the cast wasn't so darn fragile. Lost count of the times I had to re-glue her
  14. Re-costing the Twins, re-costing the Spawn Mother and Gupps, adding one or two new Nightmares for the Dreamer to play with.
  15. I think trying to take it out is not the way to go. Incapacitating it is far more efficient. Paralyse it with Coppelius, Transposition it to a far corner, Get it Brilliance'd and set a Beckoner next to it...
  16. I've checked, rebasing is possible, as long as you put Hamelin off-center, you can get both of them on a 30mm base. Still, I agree rebasing is a pain
  17. Another idea for lost children is Crooligans (Resurrectionist models). To answer your first question, at 35 SS I've rarely every needed more than 12 Rat models. If you're wondering how many you should start with, I generally go for a minimum of 3 per Rat Catcher and a maximum of 5 per Rat Catcher. Since I never go without at least one Rat Catcher, that's a minimum of 3.
  18. Correct. If you want to out activate your opponent, you need to place your Rats smartly. Moreover, if you do so and end up activating one rat at a time, it'll be quite a bit harder to swarm a specific model without them being able to move out of the way.
  19. That is pretty much it. Hamelin's crew is very self-contained; as a result, his tactics are very predictable, but also very efficient. Like you say, you use Nix to improve the placement of your own crew, buff it and debuff your opponent's, the Rat-Catchers to buff the Rats and the Rats to litteraly swarm a chosen model, while Hamelin does his own thing debuffing the opponent, Obeying them out of position and doing damage at the same time, and capturing objectives.
  20. The Brutal Effigy is a Guild model, which can be hired by the Neverborn at no aditonal cost.
  21. On a bit of a tangent to the main topic, I've finally got all Riders along with Levi's avatar. Once the exam season is over I'll make time to paint all of that in appropriate fashion. I just wish I had Mounted McCabe to get all six... One day. Also, avatar Perdita. Looks a bit like a helpful dragon...
  22. There's no really good way to support the Alps. The only way I can think of out the top of my head is to use the Dreamer's (0)Night Terrors to make them Terrifying in order to make your opponent flip more cards and increase his chances of failing, but that's probably not a good use of the Dreamer's time. (0)Inflict Dreams won't help since the opposing model isn't technically defending against the Alps (he's making simple duels against a target number). Rather than try to support them, I'd recommend keeping them buried until you can put them all out around a model that hasn''t activated yet and is on low wounds. The threat will probably make your opponent burn cards to avoid Slow and get rid of some of them, and if he doesn't yo may win another Alp in the process. Rince and repeat.
  23. Facing Kin, I'd recommend Coppelius. He can auto-paralyse (no resist) any model with low willpower, which applies to all of them, which is very convenient against a SS user like Ophelia. Rami would be my first target for transpositioning: get him paralysed with coppelius then just harvest his blood in your own time, and never worry about his sniping anymore. If you replace the strongarm with Coppelius you'll save a Soulstone too As long as your opponent doesn't field the Pigapult, you don't need to fear their ranged combat. Stay out of sight, transposition key models, making sure Wong can't bounce the spell, then go in for the kill once the ranged threat is gone. I would also consider replacing one of your Young Nehpilims with the Black Blood Shaman, who can help the rest of the team with healing and buffs using the gremlin corpses as well as produce more blood counters.
  24. This seems like a well-thought-out defense against Lucius + Lady J early game, but I'm not sure it can serve as an all-purpose early-game defense. Would you use this list if you were facing Neverborn? I belive Zoroida, Lilith and the Dreamer all have ways to mess you up in the early game either by removing your key models or through sheer numbers. Very risky for the Neverborn player and possibly not a good return for the investment of SS, but still feasible.
