Hi All, quick question regarding the desolation engine and the heal trigger on its attack; Its innate Restabilize trigger allows it to heal an amount of damage equal to that it deals, which - given the high damage of the Desolation Engine - does a pretty good job of keeping it healthy. (taken from pullmyfinger) So, it's min damage is 3. If it does this damage, yet armour reduced the damage taken (lets say armour 2) does it heal the full 3 (this is what it dealt) or 1(damage taken). I played the full 3 damage last night as this seemed correct but it also seems really, really powerful. Not complaining, just want to ensure accuracy. thanks in advance.

I've run Levi twice recently in headhunter with the following crew; 2 Waifs, Bete, Killjoy, Ashes and Dust, Doxy and Necropunk. Very little here is dropping heads with all the buries. I've movement from the Doxy (mainly to get killjoy into 1AP charge lanes) and the necropunk and a fast mobile hard hitting crew. Played twice with it. Once against Lilith and once against Guild McMourning and I got all 10 points twice.

this was how i see me playing him. Yes, he should be able to get some damage in on the oppo in turn 1, but it's more about setting yourself up for a monster turn 2 if it's gone well enough.

Hi all, reasonably new to outcasts and i've been pondering something which seems pretty darned powerful. Hamelin can hire two stolen (2ss each) who in turn can "pop" into 4 rats, each rat can activate (well, only 3) and then they merge into a rat king. Rat king then activates and turns into a rat catcher and another rat who both get to activate. This is 10 activations for 4ss investment. Am i missing something here or is this valid.

Yes, but a well placed model in base contact can stop charge lanes quite easily....

Actually, the wording on the summon, if nothing else does make it clear. Summon AN Ashes and Dust. If there was supposed to be a singular model it would say Summon Ashes and Dust. The "AN" makes the difference, I believe.

I understand the rule, perhaps my gripe was with the rule itself. If something is rare, it seems a bit gamey to say you are summoning a whole new model that is totally different to the old one. More significantly when it IS rare 1. Summoning from a corpse marker is different as that's a pile of bones/flesh, but in the case of Ashes, it's rare, it buries and unburies and while conditions and wounds are lost it is effectively the same model as it HAS to be the same model as there is only 1....being rare 1. It's more a thematic gripe I have rather than disagreeing with the interpretation of the rules.

As it's a rare 1, does this apply? Is there only 1 Ashes and Dust?

Yep. Ikiro was already summoned when i started hitting so couldn't be summoned again. it was a tactical pop. that said, even had it not, it would simply have been another easy target for more whirlwind.....

Hi Guys, thanks for hosting the tournament yesterday in testing conditions. I'm sure you noticed the heat, right. lol. One thing I noted, as did another tourney go-er is that we didn't get a Guilder. Is this something you can put by for us (me and Adam Perry?) Other than that, my only gripe is a silly-ish one but Bag O Tools is great, but i prefer to hear my next oppo from the TO and not from someone shouting across the room. Personal thing I know. I'd also prefer the final round placings to be kept private for a short period so people hang around and help etc which most people did to be fair. Good crowd considering it was a lovely hot summer's day and looking forward to the next event.
