To the best of my knowledge the model with gunfighter is in a dead zone. He cannot use a ranged strike while within melee reange of another model, but can't hit back because he is out of his own melee range.

See the Unseen does not grant any immunity to willpower duels,so it is not stripped. It allows perdita to ignore any duels required to target a model.

Welcome to the game. Unfortunately there are no alternate starter boxes for any of the masters right now. I also run Lilith and think her starter box is fine. Some additional models you might want to look into geting are a blister of Young Nephilim, Lelu and Lilitu a.k.a. the twins, or some Waldgeists.

There are a couple of different versions. One is the small book that is currently for sale on the website or your LGS. The second will be a Malifaux version 1.5 rule book containing the current rules clarifications and the errata for book one models. Then you have the expansion books of Rising Powers and Twisted Fates which have rules for new minis.

If you are intent on getting Rasputina i would recommend you simply buy her blister and a blister of ice gaimin rather than her box set. The gamin are fine and can be really irritating to some opponents but I think the golem doesn't bring enough to the field to warrant his nine ss cost. I personally am fond of the mechanical rider but it might put you over your budget. If you really want that third box you might as well go for Marcus or Colette rather than Rasputina. I don't have Marcus so I can't really recommend you a blister for him, but if you decide to pick up Colette despite her learning curve than you can't go wrong with the coryphee blister.

The additional silent one, blessed, and snowstorm are all good additions. Less thematic but still good are gunsmiths and the mechanical rider.

Perdita is an excelent first choice. When you look to expand Abuela is definitely worth and and you may want to consider picking up a Guild Austringer or two

I personally think the Essence of Power and at least one Silent One are must haves for the crew. A Mechanical Rider at 8ss can add some much needed speed to the crew, but it is only one model.
