  1. From my experience the best way to explain it is. The rules are only slightly less complicated than malifaux (which ruleswise isn't as complicated as teaching it seems). Malifaux has deeper and considerably more complicated character interactions. (ie this guy causes this guy to get power a but another bad guy causes you to gain debuff b and all of my guys can do cool thing c if they are in so many inches of another guy etc). Puppet wars minimizes that (in comparison to malifaux) making it more accessible to non gamers. I have it and love it (especially as my girl friend can play as well). If you have no nongaming special folks in your life you might be better off getting more malifaux stuff. But overall I think you're missing out on a fun game. I tend to prefer the puppet wars myself because the list building is easier and I can concentrate on just playing
  2. In my case I had already paid for the bag to get Lucius. I sure didn't want the bag so I'd rather have paid the difference than get just the bag. I just posted what they told me in case someone else had preordered the bag for Lucius and might get burned. Personally I was unhappy about the way it was put up for preorder and vague about whether the puppet was included (really the only reason to buy it). I preordered it based on wyrd's original info on Lucius coming with it. Either way it'd be nice to see some post from wyrd on it.
  3. Battlefoams customer service said they will have a Lucius and a non Lucius bag. The one with Lucius will cost 15 bucks more.
  4. They are putting up another code soon. The bag with Lucius costs 15 bucks more battlefoam answered my email question on this today. It urked me because I had preordered it. I called their customer service and they fixed my order but ended up costing me 15 bucks us
  5. Found out from battlefoam that the code to preorder the puppet wars bag DOES NOT include Lucius. There will be a separate code in the next few days. I contacted customer service and they were nice enough to change my order and let me pay the difference. So if you preordered the bag wanting Lucius, you might want to call and get your order fixed folks.
  6. I tend to use pandora alot myself and have had alot of success with the sorrows (I run at least 2 if I can). If you can get both in contact with a high activation puppet you can basically make it stand around till it's dead (especially if you use pandora's power to add a :masks to it's activation cost). 1 sorrow is ok but 2 tend to deal quite well with big dudes. If things go well 2 rips a turn for not activating is pretty silly. (1 per sorrow making you not activate without a huge card). Plus if you kill em you gets cooties. What's not to love?
  7. Everyone in the demo I ran liked it and someone else bought some from our lgs. I may have to run another demo
  8. However they wouldn't be nearly as nice as magnetized buttons. .
  9. When I did heroclix you could get colored rubber rings to put around the base to signify which clix were yours. I was considering finding something similar perhaps those rubber things to color code keys not sure on the sizing for those however
