  3. it doesnt give a way to drop it, and if the model that snags it dies then you cant regrab it, you just dont get the bonus point. To help clarify here is the scheme.
  4. you dont want to see hamlin, kirai, dreamer, most arcanist, probably a few others. Levi could be hit or miss depending on how he runs his crew.
  5. yeah, that might be true, was forgetting obey (yeah yeah, forgetting about obey in a zoraida crew is kinda deserving of mutany) but was thinking about using the ganger to hex off "collodi's dolls" from at least one of the marionnetes first turn for some extra range.
  6. Please god no! Thats what completely alienated me from GW long ago. I think just possible re-releases of the books, including the completed errata, or a compendium type book with similarly updated info would be enough. I would love to see some kind of campaign rules, which if they plan on making minions able to upgrade into henchmen etc then that could be involved with a campaign type system.
  7. So in the steal relic scheme it says insignificant models cannot take the (1) interact action. I am thinking about running a crew with collodi and Zoraida, and wondering how this would work. My thought is, on one turn, 0 action a wicked doll to collodi, and basically wait. Next turn scamper up to their master for 1 action, steal relic (cause hes significant within range of collodi) for second action, then 0 back to Z. If for some reason later in the encounter the doll regains insignificant for whatever reason but does not die, do i get 2 points at the end of the game? Sorry if this was already posted, i never seem to be able to find things on these forums.
  8. bah i really dont like their new pallette or paint types. BUT it looks like Emperors children or possibly horror pink and then blending up slowly with a little changeling pink would be the current color names. For the blue maybe Hoeth blue to lothern blue and maybe a little white depending on the specific color you want.
  9. So I am hoping to go to a local tourny this weekend, which I expect to be 30ss. I was gonna just play my dreamer crew, but recently got collodi so was thinking i'd like to try something new. My standard Z crew is 2 stitched, 1 doppelganger, and bad juju. with doppelganger sticking with juju and stealing his weapon. however I'm thinking about trying this: Zoraida 6ss according to crew creator? 1x Stitched together 1x Doppleganger Collodi 4x Marionettes I recently read how somebody used the doppleganger to take Z's wp then stole gamble your life for a couple really mean hits. Other than that I think its pretty straight forward. Any suggestions on things to exchange etc?
  10. for the hair i think you could probably get fairly close starting with warlock purple and blending with tentacle pink to highlight (not sure if those two names got changed). Cant remember the names for blues but i'd probably start with a shadow grey and just blend with a light blue and then a little white to highlight for the skin... not sure how close that would be but would probably be pretty similar.

  12. Yeah i realized that the stitched wasnt a doll, sorry if that kinda muddled it. The problem is, everything im seeing about henchmen and special forces says that they have to be leading the crew to unlock the limit. ---------- Post added at 11:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:19 AM ---------- Also, even without collodi, if i just start throwing wicked dolls into her crew it lets me put as many as i want. But if i switch to pandora it locks me at 2. Also lists this at the bottom

I could have sworn Z could hire any number of dolls, but reading her card and reading the special forces entry on page 72 of the rulebook i dont see any reference to this, the crew creator let me take z, a stitched a doppleganger, collodi and 4 marionettes but from what im finding this isnt allowed. What am i missing?

  15. So I'm sure at some point, no matter how careful we are, we have all messed up our own models in some way. But last night my best friend was looking at my desolation engine while i played a game and it ended up getting dropped and busting all the paint off the fingernails of his reaching hand. So it got me wondering what kind of impressive stories people had of somebody else somehow damaging your models? Ill start (though not that impressive): A few months ago I finished doing my first freehand pattern, painted some vines on my Hordes Warlock's cloak. The following Friday brought him in for a game and my opponant ended up dropping his measuring template during the game and cutting through the paint almost all the way across the cloak.
  16. that looks like the cutting mat i use, and the heavy lines should be inches (unless its super tiny) so that should be pretty perfect for scale. once you get it be sure to post, i may have to get a couple of those

  18. I think scaling back the combat and defense slightly would be one thing to look at. Obviously it should be hard to hurt etc but the defences mean about the only thing in a crew that could possibly touch him would be the one big nasty, and maybe the master. The combat is high enough that each attack is a one hit kill against almost everything as well. What might be a better way to go is focus more on the minions (if you read lovecraft the minions is really what you see... i havent read through everything but so far the goat with a thousand young showed up once, and the rest have only showed up in visions and dreams etc). Arkham horror is a fantastic board game, the game is about fighting the minions to prevent the ancient ones from coming up at all. If you do something more like that where you have objectives and if you dont get them done by turn 5/6 whatever then the ancient one awakens. Then the goal is preventing it period, can still be a challenge but as it is its not possible at all except good range guys or maybe Leveticus himself... might as well just say "you lose" otherwise.

  20. I could have sworn they announced the weaver widow in one of their release notices, but now i cant find any traces of her anywhere? am i just loosing my mind or is she out somewhere?
  21. Great thanks for the suggestion, might still be a bit before i get to try this since im slow at modelling but ill be sure to post some pics once i get it finished.
  22. I may have to take pictures when i get home to make this easier to understand but ill try to describe it for now. So I have been working on my Collodi crew and they are being based on a wooden plank stage. The "boards" are balsa wood that is broken instead of cut to give them a very rough ragged look. I noticed one of the bases had a board that was a bit short of the base edge (most of them overhang the lip slightly). I gave this base to collodi himself and sculpted his robe out further. ultimately looks like he has a bit of a train though the intent was to make it look like the robe was sentient and crawling away. Anyway, the gap in the boards ended up under a portion of the robe that was folded upwards so was really wanting to paint under there really dark with a couple little spots of bright color to give the impression of glowing eyes if everybody ever looks at him close enough. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to accomplish this? should i just put some green stuff deep in there to make it flat to paint on? should i try to give the back "wall" a slightly rounded shape? any suggestions would be great! thanks!
  23. That doesnt sound right. That means if i activate stitched and gamble my life and kill him, i get reactivate and can do it again. Thats good enough but are you saying you can do that indefinatly? I dont have the card here but thought there was something preventing that
  24. i will add that personally i dont really use this anymore... i have been getting in the habit of running dreamer up to about mid field... dumping all his mean dudes who hurt pretty decently anyway, then second turn i can get dreamer/chompy about 9 inches plus reach distance, which is still fairly surprising but easier to then bury and get dreamer sitting next to a stitched at the end to keep my master safer. Not necessarily the best way to go but it hurt collette pretty bad so i was happy
  25. so the calm nightmares buries chompy and brings dreamer up next to where he was instead. now since chompy is a buried master nightmare, you can sacrifice the daydream thats safe to bring him back into play, which buries dreamer and summons chompy. Not sure if this helps clarify, is there something specific that you have a question about on it?
