  1. I actually had no idea you could link to an enemy model.
  2. By coincidence, I'm working on some printable posters of my own. I'll, uh . . . keep you posted.
  3. 80 on the nose -- mostly Arcanists and models that can work for various Arcanist crews.
  4. Joke list! "Animal Acts" - 35 pt. crew Colette - 5 Soulstones Performer & Mannequin 6 Myranda 7 Sabretooth Cerberus 8 Slate Ridge Mauler 7 Hoarcat Pride 5
  5. Got enough locations? If not, here are three more. There are some goofy inside jokes/'80s song references, so... watch out for that. Guild Factotum's House (Indoors) Well-paid but burdened with responsibility, high-ranking Guild officials often take their work home with them. This luxurious house may hold well-guarded but valuable secrets. Suggested Terrain: Walls, areas divided into rooms, tables, blocking terrain, covering terrain Flip ----------- Feature Black Joker ----- Flip two more cards 1-2 -------------- Ancient Text 3-4 -------------- Wetbar 5-7 -------------- Booby-Trapped Safe 8-9 -------------- Fascinating Globe 10-11 ----------- Art Gallery 12-13 ----------- Dim Lighting Red Joker ------ Player's Choice from Guild Factotum's House list Booby-Trapped Safe: A model within 1" of the Booby-Trapped Safe may take a (1) action to Interact with it. That model makes a Wp>14 flip. If it fails, the model takes an uncheatable 1/2+Slow/3+Paralyzed damage flip. If successful, the model discards the safe and you gain 2 Soulstones. (Optionally, if both players agree, in a Destroy the Evidence encounter one piece of evidence may be inside the Booby-Trapped Safe.) Art Gallery: Use walls to mark off a room 3" x 6" or longer as the Art Gallery. While in the Art Gallery, fully-painted models gain +1 Wp in duels when they are the defender. (Or if that's too meta for you, make it all living models instead.) Fascinating Globe: Place a 30mm Fascinating Globe terrain feature. A model that moves within 2" of the Fascinating Globe and is not in melee must make a Wp>11 flip. If it fails, it Pushes into base contact with the globe and, if possible, takes a (1) Interact action to spin the globe. Once a model has spun the globe, it is immune to the effects of Fascinating Globe. Spinning the globe has no other effect. Guild Morgue (Indoors) Sometimes darkly called the "Ressers' Paradise", this facility houses the recent remains of Malifaux citizens who met with foul play. Its staff is chronically overworked. Suggested Terrain: Walls, areas divided into rooms, tables, blocking terrain, covering terrain Flip ----------- Feature Black Joker ----- Flip two more cards 1-2 -------------- Operating Table 3-4 -------------- Rat Trap 5-7 -------------- Rubber Ducky 8-9 -------------- Dim Lighting 10-11 ----------- Bette Davis Eyes 12-13 ----------- Alone in the Dark Red Joker ------ Player's Choice from Guild Morgue list Operating Table: Place a 1"x2" Operating Table terrain feature. A model in base contact with the Operating Table gets +1Ca when casting any spell that requires the discard of one or more Corpse or Body Part counters. Rat Trap: Place a 30mm Rat Trap marker. Ht1 models moving within 2" of the Rat Trap must make a Df>10 flip. If it fails, they suffer a 1/2+Slow/3+Paralyzed flip, then discard the Rat Trap. Rubber Ducky: "What is this doing here?" Place a Rubber Ducky counter, which any model may pick up. A model carrying this counter may take a (1) What's That Noise? action to squeak the ducky. Models within 6" must make a Wp>11 flip or Push 3" directly toward that model; then discard the Rubber Ducky. Bette Davis Eyes: Place a 30mm Bette Davis Eyes counter, which counts as a Corpse counter, 2 Body Part counters or an Eyeball counter and may be picked up and used by any models that can use any of those counters. A model summoned using the Bette Davis Eyes gains +1 Wp in duels when it is the attacker. Such a model leaves the Bette Davis Eyes counter instead of a Corpse Counter if it is killed. (Exception: If Coppelius strikes the model in question and gains an Eyeball counter from it, he gains the Bette Davis Eyes instead, in which case the model will leave a Corpse counter after all.) Shrine of December (Outdoors) A remote icy plateau where unthinkable deeds have been done. Will you make it back alive? Suggested Terrain: Elevations, severe terrain, forests, climbable terrain, hazardous terrain, water effects, ruins, rubble Flip ----------- Feature Black Joker ----- Flip two more cards 1-2 -------------- Hazardous Terrain 3-4 -------------- Silent Stones 5-7 -------------- Rockfall 8-9 -------------- Heavy Snows 10-11 ----------- December Spawned a Monster 12-13 ----------- Bottomless Crevasse Red Joker ------ Player's Choice from Guild Morgue list Silent Stones: Place a 50mm Ht 4 Impassable terrain feature. Models within 3" of the Silent Stones may not cast spells. Bottomless Crevasse: Known to the irreverent as "December's Ass-crack." From 1" x 3" to 1" x 6" in area, impassable, Ht 0. If a model is being Pushed *directly* towards or away from another model (Rules Manual p. 35) and contacts this feature, it must succeed in a Df>11 flip or be sacrificed. Models with Flight or Float are immune to Bottomless Crevasse. No special ability may enable a model to end its activation on the Bottomless Crevasse. December Spawned a Monster (Special Event): When this event occurs, place an ice gamin within 2" of the center of the board (or if this is impossible, in base contact with a terrain feature or model that occupies the center of the board or is as close as possible to the center of the board). At the end of each Closing Phase (including the one in which it's placed on the board), it Charges the nearest model (in case of uncertainty, flip for all eligible models, each player flipping on behalf of models they control. Low card is the Gamin's target). December Spawned a Monster cannot occur again (do not flip) until this Gamin is killed or sacrificed.
  6. Battle report podcasts are the best podcasts!
  7. (EDIT: Having trouble with the file for the flame pillars, Photobucket keeps inverting the colors. So, trying to get a fix for that.) Don't know if anyone out there still needs something like this, but if so, here you go: http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/gg386/grifonetto/Malifaux%20Terrain%20Files/ice-pillars-4.jpg http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/gg386/grifonetto/Malifaux%20Terrain%20Files/flame-pillars-1.jpg The Flame Pillars require a little, uh, improvisation. I basically freehand-cut them into a flamey pattern, superglued them together and then used orange paint to touch up mismatched areas, like so: I have a version that has guidelines on it, but I honestly don't think it's much of an improvement. I can post it if someone wants it though.
  8. Yeah, Mei Feng and Kang . . . on my comp at least, if you click "Back to Album" and then click on the thumbnail you can get a bigger image with more readable text.
  9. Started with Colette -- well, more accurately, played a few games with Buhallin's Rasputina first, then got Colette for myself. Then got Kaeris, then got Alt Rasputina because what the hell, I like the model . . . and the Arcanist purchases started piling up. I've got Alt Ramos and Alt Marcus and some crew choices for them, but I want to paint them up before I play them.
  10. These are awesome. So when's the book coming out? LOOKIN' AT YOU, WYRD GAMES
  11. Know Your Soulstones deck -- illustrations of Soulstones in different colors and crystal formations based on what kind of soul is in there, with notes on potential uses and hazards (never use a Nephilim's soul to cast a healing spell!) Malifaux Map deck -- each card shows a piece of a map of parts of Malifaux associated with the appropriate faction for its suit; naturally they can be assembled to make one big map.
  12. In a friendly casual game, I'm sure opponents can come to an agreement on which models Seamus would (yuck) go for! ---------- Post added at 01:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:02 AM ---------- This one could probably be easier, 10 models is quite a lot for Malifaux. Maybe down to three models for 1 VP, five or six for 2?
  13. Hello out there, I've been having fun playing Malifaux and it's made me want to get creative with schemes and strategies. Here are some ideas I came up with: Stay in the Spotlight! [Colette duBois]: If there is a friendly Showgirl within 2" of the center of the board in at least 3 of the game's End Closing Phases, you score 1 VP OR If there is a friendly Showgirl within 2" of the center of the board in all of the game's End Closing Phases, you score 2 VP. Ice Palace [Rasputina]: If you use Freeze Over on 2 different pieces of terrain completely on your opponent's half of the board, you score 1 VP OR If you use Freeze Over on 4 different pieces of terrain completely on your opponent's half of the board, you score 2 VP. Thoughts? Comments? If you like an idea but think it needs re-writing, by all means re-write away.
  14. Oh -- well, Mobile Toolkit then. Or Special Wallace, I should say.
  15. I think what I meant was: In your considered opinion, whichever way will make for a better game, do that. I just bought Hoffman and haven't played him yet, so I don't have a feel for how many Soulstones he wants.
  16. Guild Crew - 35 - Scrap C. Hoffman -- 8 Pool Coppelius [10ss] Performer & Mannequin [8ss] Warden [5ss] Warden [5ss] Watcher [3ss] Just curious about that Coppelius thing. Maybe add the Mech Attendant and go down to 5 Soulstones if you prefer.
  17. I voted "no", but I wouldn't mind if Hard to Wound was rewritten to prevent an RJ's extra damage flip.
  18. Ramos is a pretty common last name. Now, if you found a pro tennis player named "Squidpiddge", THAT would be something.
  19. Thanks for the input, everyone -- guess I'll go for the ambitious plan!
  20. So, I recently bought alt Ramos and a Steampunk Arachnid Swarm, and then I bought Avatar Ramos and discovered that it came with even more steampunk arachnids. I'm trying to decide between basing them as three individuals and one swarm, or doing some kind of really ambitious project where I mount them all on bases that can somehow join together to become a swarm base. So, having never used him before, my question to Ramos players is -- do I actually *need* six individual steampunk arachnids? How many do you usually have in play? What's the most you've *ever* had in play?
  21. Thanks. That's how I've been doing it, but it raised some howls of protest in my last game.
  22. What is the correct procedure for using Sword Dance? Long story short, do you need to show the entire planned move to your opponent before moving your model into place for the Strike, or can you move to where you're making the Strike and keep back the remainder of your move until afterwards? (And if it's the first one, how would that interact with pushes triggered off the strike?)
