  1. Hmm! This is looking good so far. I think I'll follow this and steal some well thought out ideas. (As a Malifaux player who also wants to get back into Hordes, a convertable table is exactly what I need.)
  2. She's meant to have the 6:tomes:tomes. That's because of her trigger, Turn It Up. The first time it triggers, it's basically free (provided you actually deal damage), and the next attack via the trigger is at 5:tomes. If you flip a tome and are successful, you make a 3rd attack at 4 (no :tomes). At worst, the second tome being unshaded in the trigger is a typo. Your Cb stat still has two :tomes: in it.
  3. For this one, the Rules Manual explicitly defines an attacker on page 18 as the initiator of an Attack, which includes "melee attacks, ranged attacks, spell with or in their Rg, spells that require a Resist Duel, Strikes with melee/ranged weapons and actions that inflict Dg or Wd on another model, or require an Opposed Duel." So, pretty nearly any time you interact with an enemy model. Correct.
  4. "Absurd Hands Full of Trigger Cards" is my tournament nickname. (Actually, that's half true. At Adepticon 2012, I had Sword Vik in charging range of Nicodem and 4 Mindless Zombies... and a handful of Masks worth at least 6 each. That was... bloody.)
  5. That would be 2 shots each at 14", because the "Combined Arms" ability (or whatever its name correctly is) is an (All) action, so you wouldn't be able to take either of the (0) actions.
  6. I'm imagining a trio of Guild Riflemen could be helpful here. (I'm usually the Viks player so I'm not used to playing against them, so I'm speculating.) A single well timed Companion activation providing you up to 9 shots at 11" range doing 2-4 damage each is well more than enough to either eat all their soulstones with defense and damage reduction flips, or to take out at LEAST one of the Viks. Having only 7 Wounds and no armor is a real problem for the Viks when they're on the opposite side of a firing squad.
  7. An ability Rasputina and a few others have. It lets them ignore damage from blasts, auras and pulses.
  8. You can only ever use any single (0) Action once, even if it's a spell and even if you gain an extra (0) Action through abilities like Instinctual. The Ice Pillars are continuous because they're considered terrain, so yes, they stick around. Additionally, if they're destroyed, they become difficult terrain instead.
  9. Well, it's Dg, so armor reduces it. Bear Skin armor ignores it. Friekorps Armor ignores it. There's a few other examples, but you get the idea. Also, remember that just about everything Rasputina uses explodes on death similarly, as do the Fire Gamin. This isn't a unique concept. Papa's just... extra crispy.
  10. Yes they do. (And it's the same thing with Fast.)
  11. I'll be there. Nilus was holding my family hostage until I agreed to, anyways, so I figured it was for the best to just give in.
  12. An excellent choice, I'm having a lot of fun fielding the 10 Thunders as well as Misaki herself. Let's see if we can't answer your questions. Every model, barring modifiers and whatnot, has 2 General AP to spend as well as getting a single (0) action. So, in one turn Misaki may use "You're Mine" OR "Shadow", but not both. (Misaki also have "(+1) Reckless", which means she can inflict 1 Wd on herself to gain Fast for the activation, which gives her a 3rd General AP.) All effect last until the Resolve Effects stage at the end of the turn unless they state otherwise. For example, if I remember correctly (the card and book are not in front of me, so somebody correct me as necessary) "Shadow" says that it lasts until she uses the ability again. That means it's continuous from turn-to-turn until it's recast. You interpreted "You're Mine" correctly. She has to make her first Strike against the model first, THEN she may use "You're Mine" against them. Don't be afraid to answer questions, that's what we're here for, especially this particular forum! Welcome to the community.
  13. Your excellent work continues, Puppet. Your shading and highlighting skills are remarkable.
  14. Maybe you're thinking of the Pull My Finger wiki? http://pullmyfinger.wikispaces.com/
  15. Page 51 of the Rules Manual, it's the last sentence of under the "Resist Duel Required" explanation. Yeah, it's a little hidden, but there it is.
  16. I just had to delete 4500 spam accounts and 14000 spam comments from a Drupal site hosted on the server I manage, so I feel your pain. Silly site admin forgetting to secure Drupal.
  17. I can assure you, they only contact you if they need more info. Otherwise they just fulfill your request as soon as possible. I've used it before, they're reliable (if not slow at times, but they're a small company), nothing to worry about.
  18. I love the smaller, skirmish-scale engagements of Malifaux, especially combined with the victory point focus of the game. And the flavor of the various individual factions, and within the factions the masters and henchmen, draws me in. Although I'm the first to admit that Warmahordes has its appeal. Sometimes, you just want to punch your opponent's face in. Welcome to the boards and community, hope you find it to your liking. Whereabouts are you from?
  19. Well, as written, it says within 2" so that doesn't imply engaged, target or LoS. Nor does the generic description of Interact state engaged, target or LoS. Which is really strange to me, there must be something in the rules that requires you to have LoS to Interact, unless in this case it's assumed they can hear you shouting through the wall. I've got nothing else on this one, sorry.
  20. Happy holidays everyone. Thanks for keeping things interesting.
  21. What you're thinking of is Leader. Henchman are not considered the Leader when they're not leading a crew, but they're still Henchman regardless.
  22. That's correct. Jakob's ability aside, you're never required to cheat. You have the option to cheat.
  23. Oh my god yes, thank you Wyrd. Can you re-release those damned 10T Archers this way? (And change how the heads are assembled. And I want a pony for Christmas, McCabe won't give me his, that jerk.)
  24. You may cheat whatever card you want, or you may not cheat at all. Cheatin' Bastard doesn't force you to cheat, it just means that even if you had the lower starting total, your opponent MUST decide whether or not to cheat first then YOU decide whether or not to cheat. It's a great advantage for Jakob. As to your last question, yes, Cheatin' Bastard only involves contested duels in which Jakob is involved on either the offensive or defensive side. ---------- Post added at 09:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:47 AM ---------- Opponent: "My total is 17." Jakob: "Great. My total is 12. Do you want to cheat?" Opponent: "... Nooooo ...?" Jakob: "Are you sure? *wicked grin*" Opponent looks nervous and begins crying. That about sums it up.
  25. Ah, I did not actually have trouble getting him onto his horse. As I went to put him on, that was when I first noticed the tabs he attaches with. The glue on his right leg hadn't dried yet (I use a thick, slow drying glue) so I popped his right leg off, glued the left leg's tab to the horse and let that dry. THEN, I glued the right leg's tab into the horse AND onto McCabe's torso. It worked real well for me this way and I have no trouble attaching him. Viruk's suggestion of heating up the plastic would work great too, if you use fast-drying glue. Viruk, McCabe's whip isn't TOO frail. I wouldn't try bending it or dropping something on it, obviously, but I can pick the model up by his whip and it doesn't snap. And yes, Sidir is one big damn bastard, he's nearly 1cm taller than the others in the unit. He IS on a 40mm base, too, so at least there's a reason. ---------- Post added at 02:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:32 PM ---------- I had a similar issue. It's hard to tell, and a tiny bit 'o green stuff will smooth it out. I'm pretty sure it's the top of his leg where it meets the torso. I didn't feel like risking filing that down, though, and I'm not super anal retentive about the models look perfect. I think a few passes over the top of the leg with a fine file would solve this issue though. ---------- Post added at 02:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:34 PM ---------- His left foot is flat enough that I don't see a problem pinning him, and he's light enough that just pinning on that foot would be sufficient to attach him securely.
