  2. Demo Night this wednesday 1/15 at 6:00 pm in Clearfield.
  3. Same problem in Utah, LGS just barely told us they were going to make an order.
  4. I for one am thankful for longer podcasts, otherwise I'd never make it through my 12-14 hour workday.
  5. I have found that his crew build is highly dependent on terrain, opponent and objectives more so than other crews. For example, the riflemen are really great at doing damage from range if they have Dashel or a Capt. with them. But if you get in ML with them, they die fast. The Guild Guards are very much the same, I kind of think they are the redshirts of Malifaux, if you can determine where and when attacks happen I think they do well, but die easily. Austringers are good for a Lucius crew, but meet the same standards as other guardsmen in ML. Dashel is a must include to get optimal performance out of other guardsmen, but don't expect him to do anything spectacular himself. He survives better than other simply due to the fact that he can use soulstones. They really are the crew that has to perform as one, relying heavily on each other to perform rather than having one model that does it all.
  6. Demo Night this wednesday 10/30 at 6:30 pm in Clearfield.
  7. Some guys in my local meta found this. Great Idea I plan to try.
  8. You can also order a 3x3 Zuzzy mat. Although he does take time getting it out to you
  9. I would totally agree that Wyrd's plastics are the one of the best i've seen
  10. In the short 4-5 years I've been playing miniature games. These are the Things I've noticed. I haven't worked in Resin at all, but the models I've seen have far better detail than any metal or plastic. 1- Weight- This is a good and bad as I see it. For shipping it could be a nightmare if you are shipping a lot of mini's in metal rather than plastic, but a metal mini has a feel to it that plastics just don't have. 2-Painting- I haven't notice a real difference in the way they hold paint, although I have had a lot of my metal models chip, I haven't handled my plastics enough for me to test them. But this topic brings me to my next point. 3-Cleaning- I recently decided to repaint my entire Khador Army and had to clean them. The metals came clean soooooo much easier than the plastics. I can see from this why people say the plastics hold paint better. 4-Detail- In this category I've noticed that metal mini's have a similar detail scale. I think that detail can depend on the company who makes the mini's, but in general, most metal used to make the models has a similar quality, texture and feel. Plastics on the other hand come in a wide variety. The difference in Wyrd's Plastics compared to GW's or PP's is very different. I haven't worked with GW's, but their plastics look like high quality. PP's on the other hand have some flaws and I think that this comes down to the type of plastic used. Its softer and therefore loses some detail when things get really small. So far I have painted 3 different Man-O-War Shocktrooper units, 1 metal, 2 plastic. While the outstanding larger details are better in the plastics, like spikes, heads, weapons and other things that stand out easily. The lower priority areas like feet, boiler grills and sometimes hands get a little fuzzy. I have yet to see one of my Wyrd plastics look bad. That's my 2 cents.
  11. What if you have multiple poison counters given by multiple models on a model that dies. Which poison counter did the killing? Personally I think we should make the models that gave the poison do rock, paper, scissor to see who gets the kill.:slap:
  12. Last year I ran an event that I thought was pretty fun. A oddball tournament where you try to get some interesting achievements. While I only had a few people show up for the event, we had great fun and we got to try out some things we never would have done normally. That being said, I think it is time to do this again. This would be a great opportunity for any of you who have seen or heard of Malifaux and would like to try it out. Right now I am shooting for Saturday, October 19 at Endzone probably around 5 pm. Come and give the game a demo, its very intuitive and is one of the easiest to on the bank account. This will be a free event and there will be prizes ranging from crew boxes to artwork. Let me know if you can come so I can plan accordingly. This should give anyone who is interested in purchasing the game to get the new releases. I am thinking a 35 ss fixed master list is probably the best for this. The Guild is watching you.
  13. That stinks, I know there is quite a following in Logan, but that's the closest I know of.
  14. Go check out the store Gameopolis. They may have some guys playing there. Here is their facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gameopolis/178543548893101 Also, if your not on the http://geek-garage.net forums, do so. You might be able to scrounge up some players there.
  15. I had this happen twice with the heads of the plastic Khadoran Jack kits from PP. I was cleaning old paint off with a wire brush while holding the heads with pair of needle nose pliers. One moment the head was there and then, SNAP, the head was gone, just gone.
  16. A CALL TO ARMS! The guild has shown us who is most important to them. It is time for us to join together and help the Miners and Steamfitters Union against the guild. Brothers and sisters, don't let the guild keep us under their boot any longer. Join us by taking a training course Wednesday night October 9 @6:30 pm at: Endzone Hobbies 133 S State Clearfield, Ut 801-774-5050
  17. Sure, they're called the bayous, and the Guild will put a fence up around them and won't allow anyone in or out.
  18. I would agree, other than he looks undead.
  19. Lucius should be the Avatar of Gov't- Either sitting at the Gov. General's desk with the Gov's body laying next to it or causing a shut down of all national monuments, parks, etc. in Malifaux.
  20. Don't forget the LeCroix family
  21. Agreed, but its hard enough to get games of Malifaux in my area, so even less known games would be just as hard if not worse...plus my wife would lynch me.
  22. I've been watching it, but I just can't get afford to get into another mini game.
