  1. :ateeth edit: No So'mer one yet >.<
  2. Does the switch happen before or after damage is flipped?
  3. Ah that makes sense. I just guessed that discarding it was simply part of the spell effect and that anything could use it.
  4. Lobo, why can't the Doves cast Disappearing act? I used an interesting tactic the other day which, while hard to pull off, could be rather devastating to a single model. I ran a Coryphee Duet at a Mature Nephilim who had not activated yet. The Duet successfully struck the Neverborn and triggered Hypnotic Movement. With its next action, it proceeded to cast Blinding on the Nephilim and, due to a straight flip, was able to cheat it up to severe damage, thus causing paralysis. My opponent foolishly decided to activate the Mature Nephilim last which, in the mean time, allowed me to Illusionist the Duet with Collette, summon a dove and then to switch Collette with a performer. The performer then gave the Nephilim a nice Poisoned Gift! The Nephilim activated and died.
  5. I dont think that falling back due to a failed morale duel is actually an effect, it is simply forced movement. However, effects themselves can force falling back..
  6. Just came up in the game and my opponent and I couldn't find the appropriate rule for this question: How many +(1,2,3,etc) actions can you take per activation? For instance, can the Peacekeeper's control pitch their entire hand to move 30 inches or can a Coryphee duet gain infinite (0) actions? Thanks Edit: Upon re-reading the rules I would have to say no to this. However, the local Henchman insists otherwise.
  7. Wow...I didn't realize that I necro'd this post... Oh well, it should be updated and stickied or something for new Collette players as its still a great resource.
  8. I'd agree with DAGabriel. I'm also not too keen on the face for some reason, though it could be the sculpt itself.
  9. I have a few hypothetical scenarios for us to mull over. I'll do my best to outline them.. Sub zero immediately ends the attack's activation, but Sword Dance allows for Cassandra to finish her movement after the strike is resolved. Which takes precedence? For this next scenario, let us assume the Rat Catcher's Slaughter Rats is a (1) action instead of a (0). Which Voracious Rats ability takes precedent? Does Player 1's Obeyed model kill the twelve rats and then Player 2 gets 12 new rats under his control? Would the two abilities simply cancel each other out or would they create a total of 24 new rats; either under Player 1's control or split between both players? Thanks for reading, I'll add more hypothetical scenarios as I think of them. Feel free to add your own!
  10. Thanks for writing this tactica, however, I just found something during my second that read through which I, and potentially you may have, overlooked.
  11. How BigGreen was using it was by using a The Stolen (or w/e the souless malifaux child is) and then sacrificing it the same turn. Stolen turns into a rat and Hamelin makes a rat.
  12. Solely because you use it haha
  13. Master: Hamelin the Plagued Nix, the Bull Terrier Rat-Catcher Rat-Catcher Canine Remains Canine Remains Canine Remains Canine Remains What do you think?
  14. I like the proto-slurid idea. Probably the best way to get around people going "Zounds! Mam, you seem to riding upon an extinct Velociraptor mongoliensis rex which has grown to extreme proportions!" The Hunter's ability is called Ambush. It lets you get a for attack and damage flips against models that haven't activated yet.
  15. Psh fine. Don't be like all the other mounted models then 8P Clever girl should be: (All)Clever Girl: This model can open Doors till the End Closing Phase.
  16. In its current iteration, you're paying 10 SS for a lot of nothing. Raptor Wrangler is an ability, not an action, so its free. It was initially thought up as an ability which gets better the more Companion (Family) models were around but I couldn't think of anything which made sense....Where's Papa? is a leftover from that. Like a lot of abilities, Where's Papa? is situational. Want to get closer to attack something? Use Where's Papa? and get an essentially free 8" move. The Wyrd Icons are under the smiley section.
  17. Looks interesting so far. Some suggestions to bring it in line with the already existing 3 'cavalry' models. Immune to Influence Abilities Raptor Wrangler: At the start of each Activations Phase, this model may choose one of the following abilities. Where's Pa?: Upon its activation, this model may immediately Push to be within 8" of Papa Loco if it is already not. Found us another!: Friendly models companioned to this model may Push up to six inches towards this model. This ability may only used if there is an enemy minion within 4" and in LOS to Rubia Ortega. Its 'og tyin' time!: Cb(:crows:rams): When damaging a model with a Teeth, Tail and Talon Strike, defender suffers Paralyzed. Ht 3 models are unaffected by this ability. Actions (2) Flurry [Teeth, Tail and Talons] (2) Mounted Combat: Push this model up to its Cg. This model may interrupt the Push to make one Teeth, Tail and Talons Strike which recieves to the Damage Flip. Continue the Push after resolving the Strike. I'd probably also drop Terrifying-> 11 and make it into a 0 action spell. Something like: (0) Raptor Roar (CC: 10:rams/Rst:- /Rg: C) Terrifying -> 11 until the Start Closing Phase.
  18. I just noticed the Ronin's drifter special rule which disallows it from being upgraded to a henchman. Can normal minions be upgraded to a henchman somehow or is it a specific Master's special ability? Thanks
  19. Ah, must have skimmed over that. Thanks. Another question, if I was playing a insurrectionist army and hire jack daw, would he cost +1 or the normal? Would Killjoy, being hired by neverborn, cost +1 as well as he is a merc, even though he has 'neverborn' as a characteristic?
  20. Could someone direct me to the pg number which states that models outside of your faction cost 1 more SS to hire? I've read some cards, the Freikorps Librarian for instance, that reference mercs costing one more but cant find a rule that actually states it. A reference in either rules manual or the original rule book would be fantastic.
  21. I've used crackle medium. Are you thinking about the two part stuff you can buy at an art store or something more along the lines of vallejo's crackle medium?
  22. So the marionettes would just walk to the 8" bubble around Collodi?
  23. I was wondering if this was legal (assume all models start in base to base to each other with the marionettes being in front of Collodi): Is this legal? Or can he ever only move 32" due to each marionette's Collodi's Dolls ability?
  24. In response to: http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22030 That chiwawa can open doors! Clever girl....#puppetwars
