  1. I don't use Testor's since I started using Krylon. There is a Krylon Matte spray that you can get at most art supply stores that is better than Testor's (flat matte) and about half the price. Check out your local art supply stores for it. Not sure if the price would be the same in Aus though
  2. Do you have enough figures to run this? Seems as if the list requires a pretty considerable cost in terms of figures and money? Have you run this or is this theoryhammer?
  3. Speaking as someone who has done this on several boards I wholeheartedly agree. Often there is no right answer to a situation since whatever you do will generate comments and responses positive or negative. I also think that Wyrd not having any official comment in threads like Math's is the best approach. They are hear to listen to people and posting a comment engages them in a public debate which can frequently turn sour.
  4. Thanks! The photo was very helpful. Wouldn't have found it without it :-)
  5. Does anyone have any suggestions for attaching Sonia to the flames of the Salamander? I was looking for obvious attachment points and couldn't find any.
  6. I used to use Testors Dullcoat but stopped after having several cans that were more semi-gloss than matte. Krylon is a lot easier to find (Micheal's carries it) and cheaper and comes in larger cans. The matte is very flat. The downside is that it stinks. And that is the low odour version. :-)
  7. I'm #10346 so I think I have a while to wait yet :-) I'm glad I don't work in their warehouse :-)
  8. I give my figures a coat of the Krylon Gloss coat and then once that dries I give it another coat of Krylon Matte. The gloss coat is to protect the figure and the matt coat is to cut the sheen from the gloss. I don't like shiny minis :-)
  9. We will be doing demos of various skirmish games at Myth Games map - website in Calgary Alberta on Saturday September 17th from 12 noon to 5pm. Demos will be held for Malifaux Infinity Dark Age Hell Dorado Models and terrain will be provided so come down to check out these great games. If you have a army/warband/crew for any of these games then feel free to drop in and try to get in a game while we do demos. There will also be a table built with the Malifaux Terraclips terrain so you can also check out this innovative terrain product. More details and a game schedule will follow
  10. These are very useful cards but they are smaller than most standard card sleeves. Fantasy Flight Games have smaller card sleeves, for board games, that fit them quite well.
  11. Well if it was down for maintenance the forum software has a maintenance mode that could be activated. This doesn't appear to be that. Not great news since I was in the middle of a trade
  12. Because they sell a print copy of the rules and would like you to buy those. If your buddy has a copy and you have a PDF I don't see what the issue is. You can read the PDF and he can bring the rulebook to games. If that turns out to be a PITA then the book is pretty darned cheap and very nicely put together. As has been mentioned, you'd burn through more money in ink printing the PDF off so if you want a printed version you're better off buying a $15 copy of the rules. It will also be printed in a much higher resolution than your home printer can handle. So all in all a much better deal. Instead of complaining about the lack of print functionality in the PDF you should be happy that the PDF even exists. In two versions no less. Most companies do not even provide any sort of free PDF for rules that they sell so Wyrd is certainly extending their fans a courtesy that almost no other company does.
  13. This is why I always use XML :-)
  14. No but I err on the side of caution when Ratty is involved :-) I've posted it as an error in the Crew Builder thread. I assumed that there would be a lot of corpse counters for the Taxidermist so not being able to hit them means more SS for Gremlins which can just have "accidents" :-)
  15. Found a bug In the crew creator you can hire Stuffed Piglets for a Crew lead by Ophelia.
  16. Don't forget that they are Slow the first turn they are summoned :-)
  17. Quite a bit of work. It works well enough on the iPad (haven't tried my iPhone yet) already.
  18. I was playing around with Ratty's Crew Builder and noticed that it allows you to add Stuffed Piglets into the crew. Has Ophelia been updated to allow her to hire pigs? The entry in Rising Powers only allows her to hire Gremlins and Kin and Stuffed Piglets are neither.
  19. Wow! Great colour scheme and very nice painting
  20. This is true but the problem remains that the rules don't state that Falling Back is an effect. Since the rules seem to be pretty clear when a result from a spell, trigger etc is an effect it means that one has to make an inference.
  21. You can't have it both ways though. Either it is an effect at which point Dispel Magic works on it or it isn't.
  22. No-one is saying that. At least I am not. I bright it up as an example of the problem of viewing Falling Back as an effect. Who are you talking to Mike? You need to quote people so we know who you are talking to
