1. We had 12 players sign up in total. 1 early drop out and 1 no show on the day resulted in a balanced 10 players. Final results from the day. 2. Simple but evocative style of the Arcanist faction. Thumbs up Dave.
 3. I thought all spell effects end at the end of the turn, unless otherwise stated. This would mean that if they shrugged off the sacrifice effect, the bonus effects end normally anyway.
 4. I emailed Arcane Miniatures for a check on something and get a quick answer. I know Tattyted has used them a few times and gives the thumbs up.
 5. I think that Caz (KoA manager) has gone into business for himself in the Kirkcaldy area under the title of MinMax games. I don't know if he's stocking Malifaux though.
 6. Hobbycraft or any model railway product shop.
 7. Very few people brought their own markers to the first event which resulted in people having to use black 30mm bases. I figured that it would be nice to have a proper marker instead of a plain base so this is just an encouragement. Updated signups. 1) Drew Fyfe 2) Dave Reekie - Tattyted 3) Irving Kerr-Smith 4) Andrew Maak - Chucklemonkey 5) Malcolm Smith 6) Jonny West - Ninjabreadmen (Paid) 7) Victoria Denning (Paid) 8) Joe Taylor - Euclid 9) Barry Kelly 10) Greg Findlay - (Paid) 11) Jon Long - (Paid) 12) Alan Kennedy
 8. Who's Got the Map? 30SS Tournament 26/5/2012 Worlds at War, Livingston, Scotland 12 places Tournament details Signups 1) Drew Fyfe 2) Dave Reekie 3) Irving Kerr-Smith 4) Andrew Maak 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) 10) 11) 12)
 9. Trophies for the day. 3rd Place - Mark Bonatti 2nd Place - Archie 1st Place - David McGuire
 10. So the day went off without any problems. We started a bit later than expected due to a miscommunication over who was bringing a laptop but made up the time over the events due to most games only taking 90 minutes out of the available 105. Out of the 14 people that originally entered, we had 2 early dropouts, 2 dropouts on the week of the event and 1 sickness. I hope you feel better Ewan. You missed yourself. Lots of pics were taken. I'll get some uploaded but there is a gallery on the Scottish Malifool facebook group Final Results

Player Faction VP TP +Diff

1 David McGuire Outcasts (Viks) 20 9 +15

2 Archie Outcasts (Von Schill) 14 6 +4

3 Mark Bonatti Guild (Justice) 13 7 +8

4 David Reekie Resurrectionists (McMourning) 12 6 0

5 Steve Clark Guild (Sonnia) 12 3 -1

6 Barry Kelly Neverborn (Dreamer) 11 4 +1

7 Irving Kerr-Smith Guild (Sonnia) 6 0 -6

8 Drew Fyfe Neverborn (Pandora) 1.5 0 -16.5

9 Alan Kennedy Resurrectionists (Kirai) 0 0 -18

Due to the odd number of players and not being sure how much I would be running around doing TO things, I opted to not enter the tournament but to play a match against whoever got the Bye so that they weren't sitting around for 2hrs. As it turns out I didn't have to answer anything above the odd terrain question and 1 odd McMourning question. I would easily feel comfortable entering the tournament properly to make up the numbers.
 11. Cheers for the mention Chucklemonkey. I'll be at Carronade 2012 myself where I will be running intro games (participation games) all day. It will be good to be able to point people to where a game is being played so they can see it in action, rather than being broken down into intro format. I'll pass along the resources that I have once I finish painting scenery for this damn tournament.
 12. I stopped playing WM/H because they keep the 1 game mechanic in that just makes the game boring: Caster-kill I fear that PP is shuffling towards the GW area of modelling.
 13. Indeed. I missed the top hat due to reading this on my mobile and was a bit lost initially. Now that I see the big hat I just wanted to say the same as everyone else. Well done Jo.
 14. Conpulsion is Scotland's leading RPG, CCG and LARP Convention. Website: http://www.geas.org.uk/conpulsion/ This year, Conpulsion is being held on: 6-8th April Teviot Row Union Bristo Square Edinburgh, EH8 9AJ I'll be running a Malifaux demo from around 10am - 5pm on Saturday 7th
 15. We've had a couple of drop outs due to life throwing a spanner in the cogs. 1) Dave Reekie (Paid) 2) Drew Fyfe 3) Alan Kennedy 4) Irving Kerr-smith 5) Barry Kelly 6) Kevin Finlay 7) Mark Bonatti 8) Marc Smith 9) David McGuire 10) Archie (Inverness) 11) Steve Clark (Inverness) 12) Ewan (Inverness) (Paid) 13) 14) 15) 16) Still a few places left if there are any Scottish players free that day. Scenery is currently on order from different places so it looks like there will be more than enough scenery to give decent landscapes to fight over.
 16. Here is the Ramos Avatar picture. Do the legs that you have look like they do in the picture? http://wyrd-games.net/shop/Ramos-Avatar-of-Invention.html
 17. It's a Dr Willet's Workshop base. I made a blog post when I first bought it. http://coinandcarnage.wordpress.com/2012/01/13/dr-willetts-workshop-base/ Here is the ebay link. http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/drwillettsworkshop/?_trksid=p4340.l2559
 18. I got the Lilith box set a good few months ago. I built it over Christmas but I've only now got round to painting it up. Here is the first: Mature Nephilim. http://coinandcarnage.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/imag04211.jpg?w=590&h=885 http://coinandcarnage.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/imag0427.jpg?w=590&h=885 I'll get the Terror Tots uploaded once I can get a picture taken that isn't awful.
 19. V2 Rules pack As a result of the ongoing league, the local players have developed a good grip of the rules and I have decided to change the SS cost from 25 to 30 and remove the fixed list rule.
 20. Scotland's just as bad for communication failure between stores. 2010-11 had multiple events on the same days at stores that were less than 1hr apart. Our local PG even got turned down from stores when he offered to organise events for them.
