  1. Now posted on Friends of Spirit Games till the end of February Tuesday 7th of Febuary Tuesday 14th of February Tuesday 21st of February Tuesday 28th of February All welcome & we have a growing list of crews avalible to loan out if your new & dont have one or want to try something different.
  2. The dreaded Pigapult in action last night against Molly & her nefarious Resurrectionists
  3. Just to say I have finaly finished work & I am off to Spirit Games to play Malifaux & drink beer from the club bar thought I am not sure that will improve may game any more than my cold and that I am deaf in one ear.
  4. Good luck with the game & I hope you have lots of fun with it. I would invite you over for a game but you are a fair distance the other side of the moat from me, but still All the best
  5. Compared to most peoples Wyrd figures are often quite slender - one of the reasons pinning ALT Sonias sword hand was such FUN....:banghead::banghead:
  6. Astringer's wont win you the game but will make masters who hang back suffer as they are often more than capable of harassing attacks given there long range & ability to deal ignore cover. This can make a lot of difference as I have lost games on the negative flip adjustment form cover
  7. I have pretty much three crews at 40 ish soul stones so its usually obvious what I might play in a 35 & I really only vary them to try new stuff out
  8. Not sure Terraclips would be the right way to go with rural scenery, & its much more commonly available & every wargamer who does 25-28mm historical of Fantasy will have shed loads of the stuff, which could be pressed in to service. That said I am up for making specific Malifaux trees & Scenery
  9. for casual play which is the way I play the game I tend not to bother with this step & use a fixed crew as it seems unless you are in a tournament time wasting faffing about.
  10. I would agree its a good fun game even though it may put off some hardcore boardgamers but most of them would avoid any thing with a RPG or Figures gaming link
  11. I am listing all the events local to me on the forum calender & suggest others do so as well
  12. Just back from the latest meet got to play Phil & got thrashed by his new pigapult. I should have fielded my austinger but he is not quite done so I left him at home. I shall know next time. Edit I was actually forced to fight a collection of elderly goblins blue tacked on to the appropriate sized bases as the Malifaux figures where not yet finished, but practice was wanted
  13. Indeed it has but find the right game shop & they will sell you the separate figures as if they where in the box as a special deal.
  14. I would use whatever works, I tried Vallejo a long time ago & was not sold on them so use a mixture of Miniature Paints, GW mostly metallics, Foundry which are a lot like GW, & Tamyia especially the Gloss medium & smoke. I also use oil based enamels, artists inks ans any thing else I have happened to find works for me.
  15. I am planing on doing a convention game based on the fall of the First Colony using heavily modified historical skirmish rules. The scenario would be basically the colony trying to hold out against the Neverborn hordes whilst the trapped guild magicians tried to reopen the breach & at least allow the civilian colonists to escape at least. I had in mind a corking game based on the 100 days in Peking during the Boxer uprising in 1900 as the inspiration with each of the defending factions having a different & perhaps conflicting secondary objective(s)
  16. Try Spirit Games who are my go to suppler & you cant fault the customer service either. Questing knight are also good for those things Spirit don't do. However they will have or can get promptly any thing malifaux related that is avalible in the Uk
  17. I would go with something like velvet and wrapping it around a plastic card insert, don't try stitching it I have done quite a bit of dress making - Re-enactment kit & uniforms & can tell you trying to hem something less than 30mm in diameter with thread fine enough you can't see it will be a real pain & might get literally bloody if your not careful. Short static grass in unusual colours could work as could sections of grass matt though you would have to colour these as most tend to be quite green.

The conversions are rather nice & I might be tempted to do some similar with my next pack of Whichling stalkers.
  19. I would second Mantic as they are quite cheap enough to buy a small box of for bits & like most plastic figures they come with more bits than you would ever need though other figures would also be useful & here the bits box is your friend. For whole figures Reaper Heresy & even Renigade which are suposed to be 28mm but are nearer 30mm & strapping lads to boot
  20. Interesting thoughts even if I found the cute pink a bit of a difficult read, not had any myself but do have a tendency to explain to myself at lest why every one in my crews is there.
  21. I might get a pack for Rasputina as they fit her theme even if they are perhaps not so usefull
  22. I would go back to the game shop & swap it & let them get a replacement for their stock in the first instance. I know Spirit Games my LGS does this as a matter of policy & would also unshink wrap to check any replacement in the shop in case it was a batch problem as this has happened in the past. I will add that this was not with wyrd.
  23. well now I have some feed back on this I will admit what I do WWI with through the Mud & the blood WWII with IABSM - I ant been shot mum WWI & II Naval with General quarters 1&2 17th/18th Century Beneath the lilly banners & a Sharp practice variant I am developing. are the active ones I have dabbled in a lot of historical periods over the years.
  24. I still don't think I can get away with it & the figure is far too nice just to leave off as I cant bare to have it go in the bits box. The other trick which looks good with flame is to was the model after its dry brushed with gloss varnish & orange ink & leave it shinny
