  1. I recently received a Copycat Killer, but sent it back to the seller because it appeared to be miscast. The model was bent over backwards as he emerged from the hat and it looked really strange - and wouldn't bend back to being straight. They agreed to send a replacement, which I've received today, and it has exactly the same problem, so now I'm thinking that the bending-over backwards is actually part of the intended pose and it isn't, in fact, a miscast. It just doen't look that way on the stat-card though. Can anyone confirm whether this is the case? Otherwise it seems likely that the supplier has just sent exactly the same miscast model back to me a second time!
  2. I love you Caterpillar and Cheshire Cat! Any plans to make a large scale model like that for Malifaux?
  3. a) For the enemy it's a WP duel but for Pandora it's a CA duel, hence no Fading Memory. Not sure on this one tbh c) The defender needs to exceed the attacker's duel total to successfully defend - it's not enough to just tie
  4. 1. Ashes & Dust 2. LCB 3. Rotten belle
  5. Yes! This is so true. I don't know what it is, but the feet of my models always come out looking crap because I just can't bring myself to put any effort into another pair of black boots. It probably ruins a hella lot of my paintjobs now I come to think of it.
  6. 1. Another vote for A&D 2. LCB 3. Kade
  7. Really nice work here! For some reason your Lelu reminds me of Monkey from the PS3 game Enslaved: Journey to the West. I think it must just be the colour palette
  8. Quick question Ratty. I'm trying to get hold of some of the pipes you used on the bases, to do something similar, but I'm really struggling. I've tried Wickes, Hobbycraft and The Range and noone seems to stock or know where I can find thin plastic tubes. Any hints? Thanks!
  9. Munkey, At the moment the Leeds Night Owls meet on a Thursday evening at the HEART community Center in Headingley, it's a 10 minute drive out if the city centre to the north. Starting in 2 weeks though there will be a new gaming store opening up in Leeds which I expect will become the main gaming venue for Malifaux. http://www.leedswargamingcentre.com You should definitely pop by next time you're stranded in a hotel room in the city
  10. What a cool and evocative short story! Looking forward to Part 2
  11. In the UK, the Ryman laminator is available for £10 from Wilkinsons. The pockets were a couple of quid for 20.
  12. Thanks for the feedback guys! You're right that flipping a couple of cards off the deck is going to change these numbers. I plan to do a follow up piece with a bit fuzzier maths to try and make a guess at how much it changes, and also add in triggers and Soulstones. As for why I didn't go to +-3, I'll be honest, I'm new to the game and I didn't realise that was the maximum. I'll add then in the V2
  13. I'm not sure if this has already been done, but I've crunched the numbers to find the probabilities of reaching different target numbers, both with a straight flip, and with a single or negative flip. The basic results are here, with further detail in the main post: Hopefully someone will find this useful. If you spot any errors in my working out please let me know! Mike
  14. Thanks James! I suppose I'd better spend the next few weeks getting familiar with the different strategies and schemes. I'm guessing we can announce our chosen Master on the day? I'm still undecided who to bring! Mike
  15. Howdy all, I figure is as good a place as any to put my first post! I've recently become a regular at the Leeds Night Owls, playing Malifaux exclusively, and 3 games in I'm well and truly hooked. I'm looking forward to getting to know all you lovely people, and maybe meeting one or two of you at MythicFox's tournament in May. I've started a Malifaux progress blog at http://www.malifauxnoob.blogspot.com. Please drop by there and let me know what you reckon! While these forums are undeniably awesome, I'm a big believer in the networking power of blogs, so if you have a Malifaux blog yourself please let me know and we can get linked up and eventually carve out a little corner of the Internet for ourselves Mike
