there should be something coming like that, the penny dreadfulls. don't know when they will be released or if its a monthly release or so. maybe aaron knows something about that
-
also you can add multiple paths, more the seductive performer, or more the tinkerer. you can always make the mannequin a vital part of the pursuit, but make it more to use as misdirection. give a trigger Df misdirect: this character and a target friendly mannequin switch places, the target mannequin is now the target for this attack Ml intoxicated: target gains the poison +1 and cannot attack this character in the next round Df things up me sleeve: this character can perform a 1AP prestidigation spell that will not do damage to target attacking model (usually a parlour tricks or so) more trigger effects and combination effects with a mannequin and the last one should be a coryphee, period, since a coryphee is THE perfect gaurd of a performer
-
looks very nice i have some same idees for extra AP, a guild gaurd etc, for the mannequin in the final stage i would do this: rank 5 "Expertly Choreographed" mannequins can now be upgraded to a coryphee. *insert stats and bonusses here*

well, all the books are wonderfull background, altough you can use the system only and "create" your own houserules etc. also, you can perfectly play TTB as the skirmish game because of the disposition rules

edit: don't mind the huge mistakes i'm making in my grammar, english isn't my native tongue and i'm just awake for long social conversations i would say, roleplay it out, and the moment they have to do something where failure is an option with some effects, i let them flip (with the noted TN modifiers with skills some posts back) and i do this with an ondgoing challenge, so even if you have a failure, another succes will "cancel" this (margins of succes etc) and i determine the difficulty of the ongoing challenge example, john, hank and susan walk into a bar (this starts out as a very bad joke tough) they want to get some information of the big bartender. altough the bartender is a sturdy man, he is not of the brightest, so it will require "only" a total of 4 margins of succes or increment requirement john a big sturdy guy himself, orders a bottle of whiskey/whisky (whatever you prefer) and starts gulpin it down to impress the bartender so the bartender will start drinking a bit himself, doing this will require a carouse check ( now a standard whiskey "only" is a TN of 5, but since its a bottle we will up this to 17, a diffucult check, but our john knew that he was going to do this, so he ate a big greasy burger before he entered, wich downs it to 14. he gets 15, 1 margin of succes (yeah i use margins of succes a bit different in ongoing challenges) susan, a handsome young lady tries to seduce the young bartender and persuade him to let something slip after he has drank some himself, this will be a bewitch duel on his scrutiny, or WP check, scrutiny is the highest value and they both have the same rating, with al modifiers i say this will be a bewitch check of 10 because our bartender drank something and is more eager to listen to susan her boo.. i mean words. she has a 17 wich increases the increment to 3 now, 1 more to go. while doing this, hank a very smart and convincing guy, starts gambling and try to cheer everyone up, so more drinks will be bought to bring our bartender in a happy mood. since hank is doing 2 tasks at once, gambling and doing and doing some talking to people, we will say that for the gambling he will lose a bit more instead of winning (he wants to get more scrip into the hands of the people AND this will cheer them up since they won) and he will pay some drinks now and then. since this is a very simple duel it will set the TN to 8. hank got 12 that will increase the increment points to 4, thus resulting in a bartender that will slip some information. more points will get them more information i always play gambling in different TN values, never 1. i write them down, and they fluctuate between 8 and 21 (depending on the money and people they are gambling with + the rank difference between the fated and the NPC's) -
2 since evades kill of 0 is higher. they specificcaly say wichever is the highest, well.. 0 is higher

it doesn't since it says right in the FM book that a minion has 2 rank value's, so u just decide now he has this, and BAM, has that rank number, at "random" when a canine remains bulldog is charging, lets assume he has 6, but when he is just attacking, he has a 5. there is a bit of logic here -

not really, i just switch between the 2 numbers, sometimes they get 5 sometimes they get 6. because well. some creatures don't always attack the same or dodge the same. a minion switches between 5-6, enforcer between 7-8, henchman 9-10 master 11-12. i just switch, sometimes i use 1 and sometimes something else, and sometimes i give something the enforcer status (if its a minion) (wow i just noticed how f*cked up wrong i wrote everything down yesterday) -

for battles i just work with normal rules and switch between the 5-6 for minions etc.. to make things a bit different, for other social things etc, it is a bit harder, i work with difference in ratings, is the rating the same, normal rules otherwise you get penalties or even buffs. example: a wastrel character has barter, and wants to buy things but at a lower price, he has a rating of 2, me general store owner how ever has a rating of 4. difference of 2. lets the standard barter TN he had to get was a 12, but since he is bartering with someone far more skilled. i just add the difference in XP (to get to 3 you need 2 xp, to get to 4 you need 5 xp) thus he has to succeed on a 17 TN duel. the same wastrel is trying to convince someone that he is not a bad guy. the wastrel has a convince rating of 3. this is resisted on WP no rating here or a skill that can help, so we use centering or scrutiny, the highest one applies here. normal TN would be 12, since our other guy also has a rating of 3, it stays the same. should the other guy had a rating of 2. it would be 10. difference in Xp -
euh, wow, my party battled with a master once in the beta testing, someone kinda like Mc Mourning, with some canine remains up front, and a rouge necromancy, it was one tough battle but they won, and they "only" had 2 combat characters and 1 social character. also building a combat character is nice, but i feel that social characters are far more valuable in TTB to give an answer on darlin theory: i noticed this problem as well. the player who wanted to build a tinkerer spend all his 10 scrip in his pneumatic little construct, since this construct was something that he already build before a bit and not at the moment, i tweaked the construct building thing a bit. so right now he has a pneumatic construct to get his focus object off and that will be impossible to destroy with his curent spells and he can always build a bigger construct

there are rules to to play them as M2E characters, early game this is allright, but end campaign, your characters are very, very strong. altough having the FM have his own deck etc, instead of ranking system, will make it a bit tougher imo
-
you al are talking about weird proportians on the legs. i don't really see the problem tough. my only problem with the multipart mini's are that you have no idee how and where some things have to go, and no instructions. longer legs? i don't really find that a problem since i don't noticed this at all when assembleing some models

jep arround 180-200 is a low nice offer. 300 is overpriced -
with me its rail workers. they look allright on paper, but i used them in a 10T list with misaki and torakage, its just nasty, just switch them with a torakage who is in melee. use your stronger flurry (its stronger imo) and kill. ignoring H2W and S2D are just so strong on a 5ss model. same with torakage. so much maneuverability. crooligan, on paper they where allright, and i played with them and they are,, well, crap
