  1. technically yes, and no. You can use the ability to sacrifice yourself. However, you would have no model left on the board to summon the new mosquito to, therefore you would get no new mosquito.
  2. found that for ya, it was actually in the resolved rules section. http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=19418&highlight=discard
  3. unfortunately, I would guess that this will be ruled that Shikome can choose to take the paralyzed effect and since she is immune to it suffer no ill effects. The reason I say this is that it was ruled previously that models such as Hamelin, who cannot be forced to discard cards, can choose the "discard 2 cards" option when declared the target of headshot and not have to discard the cards.
  4. you mean other than forcing discards and causing 2 dg to everything in range without a rst? What more do you want them to do?
  5. My apologies, I was working from memory. The rat ability devoured does indeed state killed or sacrificed. therefore, you would heal the mosquitoes should you use larva on it.
  6. 1: yes, as there is nothing in the rule saying he ignores targetting restrictions. 3: no, not with larva. Larva is a sacrifice and the rats ability to heal only happens after being killed. to get the heal from the rat, you have to use the spell (whose name eludes me at the moment.)
  7. check the date of that thread and then check the V2 cards on the left side of the screen. The thread is pre V2 cards. V2 card says it counts as losing a morale duel
  8. I plan on using them with Hamelin, in my ongoing attempt to find a list that won't $$$$$$$$ off my opponents. Hello Hoarcats and crooligans
  9. You couldnt find the rule because it isn't there. You can only choose to tie a spell rst, not a strike rst. You have to cheat down a strike
  10. Malifivilians does sound awesome. Citizens of Malifaux is boring and decidedly un-malifaux
  11. I think you're missing the blight tokens. so there is going to be extra dg from those throw in the on attack and dg and you get a serious threat. Especially if you couple that with Nix. No cheat for defender, yes cheat for rat
  12. Hamelin is HT1 or insignificant, no Gremlin or construct
  13. I have a NE Justice box, a watcher and a guardian that I want to trade or sell as a lot. They are all bare metal but pinned on Wyrd graveyard bases. I also have the 4 extra 30mm and 1 40mm graveyard insert that will go with the lot. The "pincushion" deathmarshal has had the large spear removed and replaced with a pin through the body (much stronger) I am interested in the following: Outcast merc stuff (any except Killjoy) 3-6 more rats Leveticus stuff (any) non-outcast stuff that can work with Levi and Hamelin I also may take cash (make an offer)
  14. I noticed you didn't have many posts, so I went on the assumption that you were a newer player. I was just making sure you didn't overlook that fact. And of course, I wanted to make sure other newer players didn't get confused. Still disappointing that Lucius can't take them
  15. I hope you mean you play Lucius along with another master because unfortunately Lucius can't take the exorcist if he is leading the crew. I'd love to take one,but since I play Lucius only for guild, I have no way of using the exorcist. As far as the rules go, he seems to be pretty good. I really like the anti-nightmare stuff.
  16. I haven't chimed in on this yet. However, I think the "ask......" column is a great idea. let me throw out that "Ask Som'er Teeth" would be funny and enlightening. I'd be willing to dabble a little with this column if you still need assistance.
  17. @SoulG - If you take Jack Daw vs gremlins (led by Som'er)it is almost a guaranteed 1 VP for the Gremlin player. Gremlin's Luck is a 12" range (no cheat aura doesn't effect it) to suck out all your cards and then one focused shot from a gremlin later and you are down JD and a VP. And I'll mention that a smart gremlin player will limit bete's placement by saccing a pig that is surrounded. thus not allowing bete to be placed.
  18. Hamelin, because the dark side is beckoning.... And, we have cookies!
  19. I'm sorry sir, but it's against my programming to impersonate a deity..
  20. Now you run on the assumption that your opponent only wants competition. I "bother" to play because I want to have fun and hopefully my opponent feels the same. I want to have a memorable story, not an over-analyzed series of flips that ends with one person the victor but nothing that makes me say "Damn, I'll never forget that game." And I'd rather play a thousand "gubbins" than 1 person who considers himself a "pro". I guess I'll never understand the need for some players to turn every game into an ego stroking event. If I want to compete at something, I'll enter a fencing tournament. Or, I could learn to play chess at a high level. Both of these are what many would consider competition endeavors. I count myself lucky that all the competetive players have stayed with 40k in my area. At least I don't have to decline games with anyone just because I know I won't have fun. If my opponent was counting cards, especially mine, I'd just hand him my deck so he could count it at his leisure, and go find someone else to play a game with.
  21. This +1 Also, is getting an edge really all that important? This is just a game after all.
  22. I'm with Rocky on this one. The best games of malifaux are the ones where something unexpected happens. Holding the black joker to increase your chance of winning, reduces your chance of having something amazing happen.
