I agree with Necromorph, I've found moving away from summoning factories and using summoning more as a situational thing to apply a bit more pressure where needed is far more effective and I would say I'm competitive within my local meta. Sure I still have a hard time against things like the Dreamer but who doesn't? This doesn't mean he's unbeatable however. I think that Nicodem is one of the more competitive of our masters if played aggresively, he's almost impossible to kill when surrounded by MZs and when he hits the midfield he has great area denial with the fog to protect him and his crew combined with the ability to paralyse models with little effort makes him pretty nasty, in my last game against the Dreamer I used Nico and it ended in a 6-6 draw and the only reason I didn't pull out a victory was the flip of a black joker at an inopportune moment during the last turn. (I'm not bitter honest.. )
  2. Yeah Lady J is a good one with a mix of shooting and melee, I've also found Seamus and 3 belles to be pretty good as a demo crew.
  3. Yeah I have to say I loved the Molly story! I loved the comic lifts at times within it and I think I might have to start a petition for a Mam'selle Vestige model/rules in future books lol
  4. Yeah I noticed this too and was intrigued as to why it was worded that way.. all I can say is I guess we just need to wait and see, Wyrd clearly have a plan
  5. ^ That's what I reckoned but does it actually land on the table? Basically I just wanted someone to officially rule on it as it might change the way I buld my lists somewhat
  6. For restless dead what counts as placed? Specifically if a canine remains or sebastian does for you master to pass a corpse counter to the Avatar does that count as a counter being placed within 6" of him? Or does the ability really mean generated within 6"?
  7. Yeah I had just assumed Mass Grave wasn't cheatable however looking at it now I can see both sides of the argument. (presents plate of cookies and waits) Now back on topic, ok I've come up with one list that works pretty well (in theoryfaux at least) for the turn 2 manifestation anyone else got any ideas for lists at 35ss maybe with a different focus or designed for a different style of play?
  8. ^ That could work although I'd be worried about exposing AoD after "launch" which is why the group method could work.. I agree with the using Mass Grave to "top up" the numbers of MZs
  9. True but you can "leapfrog" 2 groups of MZs so AoD launches from one to the next in the turn with the second group catching up after AoD has gone this keeps him surrounded at all times and hopefully means most of the MZs keep coming back

I agree the PZs will be available however you are then relying on getting a decent crow and you aren't creating more MZs, in regard to keeping the MZs near AoD just try to keep them in BtB with him and it really isn't that hard, basically surround AoD with a hoard and move as a solid block towards the enemy, that's how I would play it from what I can see.. Yep Seb's use is exactly that needing a 9 of anything, he is also no slouch in melee and can collect up corpse counters on the board to turn into body parts for Rafkin and himself. A Seb Rafkin tag team is a little scary. With 4+ PZs I'm not convinced a heavy hitter is necessary but if you did want one you could drop the original PZs and take a Rogue Necro. btw has anyone else noticed AoDs lack interaction with corpse counters? What does placed mean in the context of restless dead? Say a dog or seb passes a corpse counter to AoD does it count as being placed within 6"? If so that's another use for Seb.

  13. Yeah the 8 :masks is an issue.. also AoD is pretty speedy once he has lots of MZs in BtB so doesn't really need the boost. I'd personally prefer to keep corpse counters on the board as MZs rather than summon things, remember to summon Molly needs to be carrying 2 counters so they can't be MZs

She's pretty good I always include her in my Seamus lists.. not sure if she wound fit into this list but she might work with Nico in a more defensive list or a slaughter game as she is nigh on unkillable! The only time I've had her die on me was when I throw her at the opponents crew to stall them and even them it usually takes 2 turns to kill her. I think with Seb and Rafkin already in there as support minions and with her low speed I think you would lack damage output if you put her in there as well
  15. good hitting power and support combined with turn 2 manifest seems to do the trick
  16. Ok so 35 Nico Seb 6ss Rafkin 7ss 3x Dogs 6ss 2x Punks 10ss + AoD 2ss 31ss 7 cache I'm really not sold on the Effigies yet.. they seem quite a few ss for not that much...
  17. Well in playtesting when using the AoD I found that weight of numbers did pretty much all you needed the other minions were pretty free to wander about doing their own thing while you swamped the enemy with MZs which they couldn't get rid of due to the proximity of AoD
  18. Probably a big hitter or 2 so Flesh Construct/Rogue Necro dependent on points no point in a Grave spirit cos it'll disappear upon manifesting.. and Punk Zombies can be summoned while avatared (sp?) maybe Mort to provide an extra MZ a turn?
  19. Sebastian, 3x Canine Remains and Nico + other models to suit taste Seb casts bloody harvest killing all the dogs which are then arisen. Simples
  20. Just got mine today from my LGS and they are rather lovely I have to say.. good luck to those hoping to get them I'm sure you won't have to wait too long!
  21. Again always tailored, having almost all of one faction helps.. but yeah maybe I'll try to fit 1 model in that I really want to use but mostly tailored
