  1. id place myself in the painter category(poorly painted still counts ,right?) although lately ive been having some major issues with "painter's block" just cant seem to get the excitement going for it lately.... as to gaming, I really enjoy a game (especially malifaux games) but dont get to play that often --Woe
  2. what would the GW paint equivalents be..im starting to paint my guild stuff and definitely need to do some denim...but i only have access to gw paints atm.. and everything here is so very impressive, FINE work! --Woe
  3. my most chuckle worthy moment was with a rotten belle's "Undress" ability....which was directed at baby kade..... was a little disturbing but very funny... --Woe
  4. indeed, i will try to get some stuff up next week, if everything goes to plan, and at least see where i stand on the matter... id imagine you could almost look at a picture and tell me what i need to do to fix the issues. ill have to rustle up my tripod ...not sure where it has made off to...
  5. again, i just wanted to say thank you for the wealth of information you guys have provided. sadly, omen, you are correct...most of this sounds like a foreign language...but im starting to understand it all. hopefully ill be able to get a few shots going this week coming and post them up for, what I imagine will be scathing, reviews..lol Hopefully is a very operative term there...life has a tendancy to get in the way nowadays. Simian gonna read through that and see what i can glean from it, thank you for the link --Woe
  6. do we have one for molly yet? id like to get these, as my girlfriend is all kinds of getting into the ressers, and these would help her immensely! --Woe
  7. is there a collected location of all the released wave 2 art so far? id like to see what is available...but it doesnt seem to be all in one place at all --Woe
  8. just pulled it out...it goes up to an F8.... is that not gonna be good enough? i saw an F22 mentioned up there
  9. wow so much great advice.... thanks i have a canon powershot a590 IS it has manual settings and a pretty good range of ISo and Fstop settings...ive just never really shot anything so small.... shame about the old blog im sure that would have been great to read over omen.... guess im gonna scour the net and youtube on how to make a lightbox and such...sadly i dont have much in the way of lighting...and no cash to just run out and buy such things....a couple desk lamps and my overhead lighting is about it...
  10. anyone have any advice on photographing minis, i have no experience photographing them and cant seem to get even halfway decent results.... i just have a semi decent digital camera....just cant seem to get the photos to look ok.... --Woe
  11. as mythic and crc said fast does last til the next activation... so it would help raspy out on next turn ( like raspy needs help doing things...she is brutal) also note that slow lasts til next activation, and also pandoras( and some of her crews) Incite actions also last til next activation..... just a few of the conditions that dont end when most usually do... --Woe
  12. yea definitely wanting to see some of the victorian stuff! Ive been looking everywhere for good quality, not budget mauling, victorian terrain..... sadly it doesnt seem to exist atm...
  13. as to highlighting, you can decide in what direction you want the lightsource to be coming from, and actually hold the model with a light coming that direction...it will show you where the highlights would fall naturally but most will just highlight all the "high" points, top edges of folds in cloth, edges of armor etc... and it will give you a good quality look painting is all about practice, dont be afraid to try new things when you paint.... worst case, you need to rebase coat an area you are not happy with and try again.... you are gonna make mistakes, or things that wont turn out quite like you envision them in your head, and thats ok, learn from it. it wont take long til you find your painting has improved in leaps in bounds! --Woe
  14. i had inquired about TTB in another post, glad to hear it is shaping up nicely! I had watched Mack Martin's Breachside Chats on Youtube, and it got me really excited for the game... sadly i had missed the kickstarter, and it seems the forum there is only open to backers... --Woe
  15. im in the get the crew you like the look/fluff of... each crew has its own very unique way of playing, most of which are rather intuitive once you put them on a table a couple times... but for just plain straight forward, Lady Justice is rather no-frills.... which is good and bad in its own ways.... --Woe
  16. i happened to have an old woodelf battalion box collecting dust... so i pulled a couple dryads from them and they work just fine for now.... was just lucky in that regard i guess...
  17. what joel said.... she is beatable.... just takes a little out side the box( that was punny wasnt it) thinking.... pandora tends to come at people sideways, especially newer players( this was true in 1.x and has carried a bit into 2e) but once you wrap your brain around exactly how she works, countering some of her usual practices becomes an easier task --Woe
  18. box art she has a purple and black dress on black hair
  19. i always thought it was a requirement to use it... hard to use somethings damage track that isnt technically there.... i mean i get where you are looking at it from.... but just feeling it would have to have an actual action to use it on... of course what do i know....lol --Woe
  20. havnt had too much play time with little candy so i will not comment on that... as to pinning her... depends on the base you have her on... i ended up taking a small piece of sprue( one of the small stems that connect a part to the larger outside sprue frame) and plastic cemented that to her feet...and used it as a "pin" had to get a larger bit of course to make the hole for it to go into... and had to add just a dab of liquid greenstuff to tidy up just a hair...otherwise working just fine.. Also did the same thing for my girlfriends copycat killer... --Woe
  21. it still impresses me that company heads actually talk, and let us know stuff, in these forums.... having only played 40k before getting into malifaux.... it just seems so..dare i say it...Weird(wyrd)... bad pun sorry but in seriousness, its nice to know that we arnt all just a bunch of faceless people shoving money at the company blindly.... they actually listen to, and respect us enough, to let us in on how( and what) things are progressing. as to the shipping delays from wayland, i am sorry to hear that... I live in the states and my LFGS is pretty good about getting stuff in promptly, and I found a good mail order site here that my out of town friends use from time to time that has always been spot on ( everything ordered within a week) --Woe
  22. is it just the plastic rasputina model you are not a fan of? she had a couple sculpts in metal, her original( which wasnt bad at all) and her alt sculpt which im actually a fan of... I actually dont like the plastic rasputina sculpt.... and if i were going to field her icy magesty, id get the alt sculpt metal for her.... the rest of the plastic crew i liked though. if its more of a theme thing though, as long as its understood what is what, friendly games shouldnt be a problem with whatever you go with....tournament play may be a different scene though.... having your opponent constantly trying to remember that this model is actually an icegamin and that model is a wendigo and this model is a ice golem....can get a bit disruptive to some... --Woe
  23. the generic upgrades will be in the arsenal deck for that faction, it actually has every upgrade and every card for all the wave 1 models in that faction... and priced at 8.00 USD...worth picking up for sure. as to the mini rulebook, you have it right, just fluff and stats are missing. but all the rules are present and will hold you over til the big rulebook gets sorted. --Woe and ryoken beat me to it...lol
  24. as far as "tricksy" masters go... Collette always springs to mind, and ive always thought that, if played a certain way, Lilith can be a bit of a trickster.... Really pinning it down to a master may be more difficult, as alot of times, your "tricks" will be in the interactions between your master and the crew you take.... I cannot however comment on anything gremlin, as i have zero experience with them.
  25. helps plenty!!! Thank you! and yes gencon makes sense really, i just wasnt aware if it was out of play test yet or not... I hate that i didnt hear about the kickstarter till it was too late...i would have jumped behind that in a heartbeat... I will just look forward to general release and grab the books when they are available.
