Sorry it's a little off topic... but why can't Nicodem summon a steampunk abomination or desolation engine? They are both non=spirit non-unique undead models...
There's no reason a new master couldn't be new to Malifaux, our newly awakened to their power since the event in book 2. An avatar form wouldn't even be necessary for balance (not right away at least) since the game isn't designed to be balanced master-to-master but faction-to-faction.
If you check out the trading forum here you will find quite a few people already looking to trade/sell this years gencon exclusives, so hope is not lost!
Vaff, unless I'm mistaken, when you posted in the other thread that you noticed the Gencon items were missing it was already 5:47pm EST, which is likely well after they closed up shop for the day on Friday.
Raspy is a good choice for magicky caster type. She's also reasonably straight forward to play. Her trademark spell that you will be using more often than not is a direct damage-dealer with blasts.
Nicodem is more a support/summoning type. Perhaps a little trickier to get used to than Raspy, but his real downside (if you think of it that way) is that he gets better with lots of flexibility in summoning, which means you need a lot of models!
Thanks Iamwyrd! As Jim said I'm taking Nicodem, there's a group shot from the last contest up on my blog (see signature). I've got 13 models in my 50ss pool and another 18 for summoning (including the mindless zombies). I like to keep my options open.
+1 for highlights plus a bonus episode with the rest. Splitting it up over multiple episodes will mean months will pass before its all out. Hopefully there will be new interviews for future episodes!
