  1. @Rhonlore, that was for a single deck though right? It would probably work out better to pack multiple decks into one box. TTB is charging $25 for international but that's for up to 8 decks. Edit: never mind, old news.
  2. The update is separate, so each scheme deck with updates is $12.
  3. Yep. Hopefully a knowledgeable staff member can suggest a better/cheaper method. Will find out on Monday!
  4. I've discovered Canada Post's website is brutal. Near as I can tell there isn't any "flat rate shipping" options for parcels, only envelopes. I'll have to go to the post office to get a firm quote, but unfortunately that'll have to wait until Monday as I'm heading out of town for the weekend.
  5. Nope, the scheme decks are not included in the tourney this year. Only the new Through the Breach podcast fate deck is included.
  6. And because December doesn't abide constructs in frilly dresses: Coryphee of December!
  7. If you'd like I'll be at Walpurgis and can pick up Canadian-bound decks and ship them out from Vancouver. I'll check out Canada post to see what shipping would be.
  8. My issue with the Silent One is that they're soooo slow and squishy. If you throw one up to use for ice mirror then she'll just die sooner. Nevermind that one of the silent ones needs to stay within 3" of Raspy to increase her range. Don't get me wrong, I try to bring a Silent One in every list, but two or more would be tough. Before Storm of Shadows I always used to find room for an ice gamin. Now the metal gamin feels like a must-take and the ice gamin inevitably is the minion that gets the boot, and I'll usually take a moleman before the ice gamin (high armour for raspy to blast off of and +1ss in her pocket to start compared to the gamin).
  9. Thanks guys! @jasonfly: I agree on the blood, and did end up going back to work on it. Originally it was a single red color splattered with a brush, and I went back to add in a couple of darker shades of red (painted on) to give it more depth and finished it off with a paint-on gloss varnish to shiny it up. Looks good, I'll post another picture once the base is done! @Evilbleachman: His last pair of gloves were worn down to nothing, he's just putting on a new pair before continuing his wonderous experiments! Cleanup is for Sebastian.
  10. I'll be playing in 3-4 events over the weekend, and they're all "fixed faction", so I'm keeping my options open! I've now got Nicodem, Seamus, and McMourning all painted. Have no fear that I have forsaken Nicodem as the best Resser master!
  11. Got a big weekend of Malifaux coming up next weekend (Gottacon in Victoria, BC), so I'm taking the opportunity to paint up as much as possible! I just finished up McMourning today (except the base) and splashed a bit of red on Izamu.
  12. Yeah, pg 54 of the rules manual is pretty clear on that "Regardless of whether the spellw as cast successfully and/or resisted, any additional effects, such as Triggers, are applied as indicated in their descriptions." ---------- Post added at 10:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:46 PM ---------- Still, would a cancelled hit mean that the duel wasn't failed? Failed resist = hit, so does no hit = no failed resist?
  13. But triggers are declared even before you check to see if it's a hit. I guess the real question is if the hit is cancelled does the model still count as losing the resist duel.
  14. Mental anguish triggers off the lost resist duel, not after a hit, so I think he'd take the wound and fall back.
  15. True! Randomizing onto the Dead Rider isn't much better as his Hard to Wound 2 will make it unlikely you'll get any blasts (though at least he'll heal 2). The fact that you're flipping multiple cards for each of them when randomizing makes it more likely the spell won't perform as you'd like. I like Nico + Izamu + Rider, though it's rough that Nico is so slow. I might be inclined to give the GS to Nico, mounted combat Nico into a central location in the first turn. Then in the second turn the Rider can drag Izamu pretty much anywhere on the table, and likely still in Bolster range. McMourning is a solid choice too, and he wouldn't need help to keep up with Fast and Scalpel Slingin, though you lose out on Bolster which is huge.
  16. Don't worry, you're not breaking any rules. Unfortunately they're not available for sale but you may have some luck over in the Trading Forum where someone might be willing to sell you one, and of course there's always EBay and the like as other options.
  17. Looking to try out Vassal, I'll be around for the next 5h or so. Shoot me a message here, on Skype (nickname "kexsel1"), or on Vassal ("Mark").
  18. I just think it odd that Kaeris can't hire totems herself but it's ok to connect one hired by a master. Seems more like an oversight to me rather than a balance issue and I'm surprised it hasn't been errata'd already.
  19. Agreed. Her Cb has 2 tomes and there has been no errata to suggest otherwise. The grey+black tomes on the trigger could be an error in formatting (no big deal really...) or it could simply be a reminder that she may not have all the suits she needs once she starts taking the -1:tomes penalties.
  20. I still can't decide. At the moment I'm leaning toward Raspy as its a much nicer looking crew (I rushed and dipped a lot of my Nicodem crew). I'm not even sure single-master without a pool would make the choice easier. I just hate leaving models at home simply because they don't fit in the pool.
