LOL gav ... I like your 2nd attempt much better than your first! Zoraida makes me think of all the old witches/hags in fantasy movies etc that live out in the swamps and are just old and nasty. So the mini to me is awesome - plus, she's got some pretty evil tabletop abilities too. However, unlike you, when I get my Zoraida, I plan on painting her up as is - my hope is that my opponent will be so disturbed by her toplessness, that they will make many mistakes for me to exploit. =)

Hey GcFlash, I really like the way you've painted Sonnia. The white really does look good on her. Maybe add a bit of dirt and dust to the very bottom of her coat. But other than that, she looks awesome.

LOL, I love it! He even looks like he's from the bayou. @Baron: Did you sculpt all of the Gremlins? Either way, I like them all. They've have such great character.

I don't know why you think you're no good at painting. I think your minis look good - they're much better than most of my friends who just slap on a basecoat and call it good (ugh, drives me nuts). Stop trying to compare your painting skills and minis to the ones painted by the pros. That'll make you feel better (at least, it does for me).

Nice! I really like how you used the spider to add another level of storytelling to the mini.

I just ordered my micro-arts base through 'cool mini or not.com' - first time I've ordered from them. Hopefully the experience won't be as bad as I got from the warstore -- which took them 13 days to email me and let me know they were mailing my order, and then another 3 days to actually get the order to my doorstep.

Can MM use (0) Master Surgeon to heal himself? The action says to target a living or undead model within 3" in LOS. Target makes a healing flip.

So I've noticed with Ramos' box set that it is very difficult to actually hold any objectives b/c the arachnids are insignificant, which usually leaves me with just Ramos himself and the Steamborg who can actually hold the objective for VP's. Anyone got any tricks or ideas on how I can increase the model count in my gang yet still maintain a "pure" Ramos themed gang? Also, can Arachnid Swarms hold objectives?

I play it that the individual spiders are summoned exactly where the swarm was and in base to base contact with each other.

Okay, so I've only played about 3 games of 'faux at this point. But every game I played I either lost or just barely tied. In fact, the last game before lasts nights, I got thoroughly clobbered by Lady J and crew. In last nights game I found the electrical fire spell to be indispensable - in fact I cooked Johan to death in a single turn and toasted a Victoria quite nicely with it as well. Plus my Borg did his job quite well by decapitating Bishop before he could do much damage. Gotta love it when your opponent gets down to just one control card and can't do anything about it! =) I know some people are into lists and stuff, so here's the 30SS list I ran: Ramos Brass Arachnid Steamborg Arachnid Swarm x3 Arachnids (single) For this game I decided to ignore having extra soulstones as that hasn't proven very effective for me in my previous games. Rather than being super aggressive, I decided I would hang back and wait for my opponent to come to me. Thankfully there was a nice ruin in the middle of the table which also happened to be my Scenario objective. So basically I consolidated my "army" there and picked his guys off one by one. This tactic, going after 1 guy at a time really paid off. In the past I was content with putting a couple of wounds on people. But now I've decided to outright kill my opponents guys one at a time to deny him their abilities. Hopefully this will work in my next game too!

Seriously, from the executioners freehand tat, to Rasputina's gorgeous snowflakes, to the Green flames on Sonnia's base (and the flame markers), to the snow cerberus tiger, and especially your elven fleet ... That is pure awesome. As others said, you did a fantastic job on getting just the right amount of blood and gore on him without going overboard and ruining the mini. I can just picture him grabbing some poor guy by the back of his head and then smashing his knee in it to brutal effect. Love it!

I think CMON just restocked the McVey minis.

Looks nice. On the borg, are you going for a green metallic there? It kinda looks like it, but that could just be the photo. Either way - I like it. Between your two groups of spiders, I like the 'blue' metal ones over the rusty red ones. But they're both really cool looking. Can't wait to see your other minis NFH.
