  1. I was playing around with a few lists, and I came up with this for a 35 ss game..... let me know what you think ? Von Schill Hamelin Taelor Johann Librarian Trapper I think it is a decent all comers list. Von Schill and Taelor help to take care of constructs. Hamelin, Von Schill and The Trapper can deal with Ressers. Taelor and Johann can deal with pesky spirits..... to be honest Taelor and Johann together can deal with pretty much anything that is thrown at them ! It's got good melee, it's got decent ranged, it has some magical jiggery-pokery and most importantly it includes a number of my favourite minions (Hamelin, Taelor, Trapper), who I can never normally find room to squeeze into my other lists ! I know that a lot will depends on schemes / strategies, and it may struggle a bit against hordes, but on paper I think it looks decent enough.
  2. Hello, a friend of mine is looking for a decent wargame / rpg shop in Birmingham UK, and I was wondering whether any of you guys had any good recommendations ?? I know he has tried Waylands Forge, but for whatever reason didn't like it.... any other suggestions ? Cheers Buck
  3. Welcome on board ! Are you aware of this place : http://www.bunkerassault.co.uk/ A few of the players post on here occasionally, so if you are ever after a game you should check it out.
  4. I have never been a huge fan of Infinity, the rules always seem a bit dense to me.... but then I am a bit of a beer and pizza player. On a side note, I saw some of the the seditition wars stuff at Salute last weekend. It looks really nice, but it is very early days - I will watch it with great interest, as I am a huge fan of Mike McVey.
  5. Hello. I am someone else logged on to Buck's computer. I would like to vote for : Bishop Bishop Bishop I am not a playtester.
  6. Try searching for "Norfolk" on the introduction forum.... I don't think the other threads you mentioned are updated that regularly. I am posting from my phone at the moment, but i'll have a look myself the next time I am back on my laptop.
  7. I have played a whole load of games with the Viks too, and I have never used Another One either.... Also I am not a fan of throwing one Vik forward and holding the other one back, as it tends to limit their movement antics.
  8. Evening, welcome on board ! I go to North Norfolk a couple of times a year (to Blakeney and Holt), so next time I come down I will have to bring a crew and take a slight detour ! It is probably worth doing a search on here for other players too, as I remember chatting on here to other players in Norfolk.
  9. Oooh Rogue Necromancy is really cool ! Now voting...... Bishop Desolation Engine Pere Ravage C'mon folks, lets see some votes for Bishop.... he needs some love ! I have recently been using him as a proxy for a Desperate Merc just so he gets some table time
  10. ..... you can't take the first list as it includes more than 2 special forces minions. To run with that many Freikorp, you need to take Von Schill. I like the look of your second list though, I may have to borrow it !
  11. After the box set, I would go for some cheap objective grabbers such as Necropunks and something that packs a punch, like Bete Noir. Canine Remains and Steam Punk Archanids also work well with Levi.... and don't forget the Peacekeeper which is awesome for anyone who can take it
  12. That is rich coming from you Sliver !
  13. You could maybe use her as a Proxy for a female convict gunslinger ? If not, then you had better get Leveticus..... Like you need an excuse !
  14. We've got a fairly good spread in our group, but I have never seen Perdita, Ophelia and the new boys Hamelin and Hoffman being played. I have never played against Nicodem either, but that should be rectified soon hopefully....
  15. That makes three of us in a similar field, as I am an accountant too.... which my opponents always find funny as I am sooooo slow at working out my duel totals ! If I don't have excel, I can't do it
  16. C'mon folks.... its been ages since anyone has voted and we need more puppets ! All you have to do is write "Bishop" and hit enter !!
  17. I guess it depends - The Hoff sits well with what you have already got as all of his crew can run with Levi as well, however if you fancy a complete departure from the crews you have already got, then go for Lucius.
  18. See you all on Saturday.... this will be my one year Malifaux anniversary, so excuse me if I am a bit emotional !
  19. The club is here : http://www.bunkerassault.co.uk/ One of the members of the club, Canada Steve, occasionally posts on here. I haven't seen him around for a while, but it could be worth tracking him down and sending him a PM.
  20. Good work ! Hoffman looks aces, although I am not still sure about the Watcher. Have you modified the Hunters harpoon gun ? I thought in the official photo that the shaft looked a bit flimsy and would need bolstering.
  21. The Outcasts have such a broad range of crews, that it is very hard to generalise about them as a group. The Viktorias are quite straight forward and are easy to pick up whereas someone like Leveticus is very complicated and probably not ideal for a newcomer. I don't play Gremlins (yet), but from what I understand Ophelia is not a bad choice for a starter, but Som'er is a lot harder to get working well. On another note, whereabouts in Essex are you ? I am based near Stansted (but do most of my gaming in Cambridge), and I know of another group of players in Chelmsford.
  22. I am a Spurs fan too and things aren't looking good. Peter Crouch what a $$$$$$$$$$.
  23. Bishop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Snow Storm Silent One .... not a play tester
  24. Oh yeah, and at 30ss you should really have a least 5 ss available for the Viks unless you are running the libarian to help keep them up and running.
  25. I have run Hamelin with my Viks on a number of occasions and find that he is either the star of the show or achieves absolutely nothing, although I do tend to play him a bit too agressively at times. I tend to find that he is a useful model to have available for selection, but his effective will vary greatly depending upon your opponent and the scenario. One issue worth mentioning is that Hamelin competes with the Viks for :masks which the Viks love to have for their Whirlwind trigger.
