Thanks for your response, do you have any recommendations for a brand new starter that offers an easier learning curve to learn the rules? Or should I go for which minis I like the look of?

Hi Guild players, I was wondering if there would be any veteran players on the Malifaux circuit who could help me with where to start with The Guild. I have been looking at all the different crews and decided on The Guild due to minis and fluff. Therefore, I would ideally like to know if they are a good starting crew, where to start and if anybody out there knows of any Malifaux players in the Essex, UK area? Thanks in advance

Thank you all for your helpful replies, I dont know anyone else who plays the game however I am looking to find some opponents to help me learn by beating me senseless. I think I will buy the minis and bits suggested by Murphys Lawyer and get them painted up possibly with another crew and try to get the wife to play me... Should be fun!

I'm in Rayleigh, just down the road from Chelmsford. Do you know whereabouts, I would really like to speak to people who have had experience playing as it can be quite confusing for me what with all the cards, stats and all.

I was hoping for some advice, I have already posted on the introduction forum as I am looking to start playing Malifaux and I have been advised that the Guild are good starters for a new player. However, I am really like the look of the Outcasts especially the Gremlins. What I really wanted to know is are they ok to start with or should you get more experience with another crew before playing with them? I don't know of any other players in my local area so I have no one to ask the above. Thanks in advance

Thank you all for the quick responses, I like the look of the death marshalls however do you think it would be best to get the rulebook first and then decide on where to go forward?

I am an old timer from GW Fantasy back about 10 yrs ago, currently getting back into that hobby however the background of Malifaux is so cool. I haven't really played any miniature games for years so I would need something relatively easy to start and like the look of all of them which doesn't really help me. Is there an easier faction to start with so I can try and learn the rules?

Hi Everyone, I am a brand spanking new member to this forum and to the game aswell. Unfortunately I do not know of anyone else who plays in my area and so am having to do some research on the interwebz as to how to start. I would be most grateful if one of you more experienced guys or girls could help me as to where to begin. I know that this is very general however I am very much in the dark....
