  1. I made the trees myself using the excellent video tutorial from the Kamloopian. The link below shows how to make the trees I made. All of his videos are excellent though. http://www.youtube.com/user/thekamloopian#p/c/ECF50A3DDC41E303/12/-Gwgae6oJk8
  2. You can check out how I did my tent in this thread - http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14216 It was only about 5 minutes of work to do the tent and basically zero cost.
  3. Here's some terrain I've done for Malifaux. First up are the Malifaux special terrain. Campsite - For a tent, I used small skewers to make a simple A frame. I then took a napkin(pick your color) and cut the size I needed to cover the frame and put it in watered-down slightly tan-tinted white glue and just laid it on the frame. It hardens up and gives it a dusty look as you can see in the picture. Creepy Structure Dead Zone and Hazardous Terrain - I think this works for both. I might do another smaller one in case both are needed. Scrap Pile Hanging Tree - It's not finished yet and I've got a bigger one in the works as well. Here's other misc. terrain I've done. I made this bridge terrain modular so I can have an old wooden bridge or a more steampunk bridge.
  4. I'm not sure on the scale Shadowbeast, but jmp_mydog on the forums here is making excellent use of it. http://www.twilightemporium.net/journal/2010/4/30/the-breach.html
  5. I like it. I hadn't thought of using those kind of washers before, great idea. I ripped aprt a couple old watches the other day for some parts for my Ramos crew bases. That mud is pretty good too. How was it done, if you don't mind sharing? Also, what magnets did you use? I've been looking at the Amazing Magnets website and was trying to determine what sizes I should order.
  6. Love it. Excellent. Nice job on the base.
  7. I like it. When I get my Lilith crew I want to do it in a blue as well. Similar to this http://coolminiornot.com/index/whatm/Privateer%20Press/id/229721 or this http://coolminiornot.com/index/whatm/Privateer%20Press/id/229445
  8. This would probably work. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3312417&siteID=q5QZHUbCIj8-E9rmZ_FLW7jpHqVP0JpCbw Engine dimensions: 8.5"L x 4"H x 3W I think it's a little bigger than O scale. In game terms it'd be considered height 4 which is less than Sonnia's flame wall of Height 5.
  9. I had mine laminated at Staples last week. Their thickest sheet(10mm) was $1.49 and I could get 5 cards on a sheet.
  10. Couldn't you just use more cards? http://www.printmini.com/printables/games/pcards1.shtml [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Mini-Playing-Cards/dp/B0023XT5N0/ref=pd_sbs_t_2[/ame] Or a counter slider you could make kind of like this mini abacus http://www.craftsforlearning.com/MiniAbacus.htm If max wounds is twelve, you could use watch parts to make neat dials.
  11. Excellent work. I had the exact same ideas in mind for the graveyard and soulstone vein. The "gems" are called Dazzlers at Hobby Lobby. http://shop.hobbylobby.com/search/default.aspx?CFID=555686&CFTOKEN=70481763&searchTerm=dazzlers They're all the same shape and you have to take your knife to them to remove their flashing, but they have all kinds of uses. Their current weekly ad has them for 50% off.
  12. I got my Ramos set and the color on the box is purple and not blue. I figured it was just a printing issue with the box, then I opened it and the cards are the same color. The 2 Steampunk Arachnid Swarm cards are even a darker purple than all of the others. I even compared it to the book and they're 3 different colors. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this expected? You'd think this was a Neverborn faction and not Arcanists.
  13. The ice spiral is very cool. I think the red is a bit too shiny. You might dull it some.
  14. I think he meant just the expansion. It is book two with book one being the current rulebook.
  15. No they're not. http://battlefoam.com/catalog.php?item=270&catid=76&ret=catalog.php%3Fcategory%3D76 You'd need to have magnetized bases you could remove to fit them, but then if the model itself is wider then it still wouldn't work. This would probably work though if you didn't want to wait for the Malifaux one. http://battlefoam.com/catalog.php?item=153&catid=77&ret=catalog.php%3Fcategory%3D77
  16. I was thinking about Malifaux around the 6 minute mark, but keep watching. [ame] [/ame]
  17. Might look at stuff here - http://rustyrail.com/OMiniScenesCastings.htm and here http://www.hobbylinc.com/train/train.htm Of course you could get a whole building set for cheaper than some of those trains. http://www.sierrawestscalemodels.com/ckits/204/204.shtml
  18. How do the cards fit in those? I measured the cards and they are 3 3/16" x 4 13/16" I found this info for the 3 x 5 UltraPro toploaders Approx. inside (usable) dimensions: 2-11/16" x 5" (6.8 cm x 12.7 cm) You must be trimming them?
  19. Are you perhaps talking about having to check if the target is in range after you make the decision to attack them, but before you make the attack?
  20. I have some of the Gorilla Super Glue as well and it works really well. The only thing I don't like about it is the tip. I think it's too big for working to get glue in places on miniatures. I use it on bigger stuff and use Loctite Precision Max or Loctite Brush On on minatures. I made the mistake of getting some Loctite Goof Proof and Krazy Glue Craft skin-safe super glue. Both of them take way too long to bond to be usable for gluing miniatures. I was holding the minitaure pieces together for well over a minute and still couldn't let go without the parts coming off.
  21. There's tons of free maps on http://www.dundjinni.com and http://www.rpgmapshare.com
  22. Here's a video I found from battlebunker.com. He makes some pretty cool terrain and made a video of a Malifaux game. There's a lot of mistakes and some rule bypassing to get the basics across, but I thought it was worth watching. I found myself looking stuff up in the book as either stuff I missed or to check what the rule was. [ame] [/ame]
  23. Excellent job. I really like Som'er in black and Killjoy looks pretty gruesome.
  24. Here's a good article on brush care. http://thescreamingalpha.com/2009/09/21/caring-for-your-brushes-with-masters-brush-cleaner/
  25. That's pretty cool. How about a picture with one of the miniatures next to it for the sense of scale?
