  1. 1) Killed/Sacrificed Waifs are indeed resummoned if Leveticus is in play (which he will if he has just resurrected). Leveticus and Waifs are hard to take out permanently as they all have to be killed on the same turn. 2) By killing all Waifs and Leveticus during the same turn. 3) Yes they all drag along, that's the entire point of the ability. EDIT: Stern gave a better explanation. 4) You got it wrong. Models don't have AP except during their activation. The Engine continues with remaining AP of the active Abomination which will most likely be 1 general AP and Melee Expert. -Ropetus
  2. I was not originally going to get them for my Marcus Crew but now I just might have to. The increased Cb and buffed Blind are amazing. Damn you Wyrd for making me buy far too many models . (And the horrible pink color...my eyes! Oh why must you torment us like this!?) -Ropetus
  3. This is not correct. See the Unseen and Blind Justice ignore "increases in Rg and Df and any Duels required to target". Bully is not a Duel but a plain "cannot target" ability. See the Unseen cannot ignore that. I think the only models that ignore Bully are Arcanist Molemen with their Blindsight rule, which allows them to ignore anything that prevents them from targeting a model. Bully falls exactly under this definition. -Ropetus
  4. Check the Rules Manual for "towards" and "directly towards". With "directly towards", you draw a straight line between the models and move along that. If there is an obstacle in the way, the move stops. If there is a bottomless pit in the way, it's a long fall ahead of you. With "towards" the model avoids any obstacles and terrain that would slow it down. It also has the option of going around any hazardous terrain, such as lava flows or falls off cliffs. "Directly towards" = just frakking get there! "Towards" = get there, but don't die trying -Ropetus
  5. There is nothing wrong with this move. Models already standing on elevations can be dragged down from the platform with effects that Push them "directly towards" (like Drag) or any direction you want (Toss). They then proceed to take falling damage. What you cannot do is pushing models where they could not walk. Models can walk over the edge of a roof and fall down voluntarily (it's just a bit stupid) but they cannot walk directly up without Flight. -Ropetus
  6. It's a typo, Snow Storm is a Graverobber. -Ropetus
  7. I think I would pick Nino for sure since you're lacking long range support. Then either Santiago or The Judge, depending on whether you want a ranged model or a melee tank, really up to taste. I don't think I would take Guild Guard Captain here as he really suffers without Lucius. His speed is so abysmal that he really needs Lucius' Reinforcements spell to move around. I also don't like Hopkins without Sonnia as he is expensive and very vulnerable to spells without her Counterspells to protect him. I would leave more than 2-3 soulstones for Perdita to use during the game. She becomes almost invincible with 5-6 stones and can act much more freely. You could sneak in a few more by taking for example Francisco or another Guild Guard in place of one of those 7 SS models. The Convict Gunslinger is also a great option. -Ropetus
  8. Haha, no Entangle will not stop him from moving but it will stop the 20+ inch slingshot for sure. Seems I was a little too enthusiastic with my words . -Ropetus
  9. The card has changed since the writing of the tactica. It's always worth to check dates on posts. -Ropetus
  10. This is true. You can't Obey models to take Actions that have a cost of killing or sacrificing the model. Neither can a model ever take Actions that cost Wd and would reduce them to 0 Wd. However, causing Dg to self, even if it might kill you, is perfectly fine. Pere needs to be super careful of models which can take control of him. -Ropetus
  11. Squeel! only works against enemy melee attacks. -Ropetus
  12. You can't beat my Ninja skills ;P. -Ropetus
  13. The Dreamer can unbury any Buried Nightmares, no matter the cause they were Buried. A model can only Reactivate once per turn. They can't keep Reactivating to infinity. Judge can use these spells on the Hooded Rider. The Long Arm Pistol Strikes automatically fail though since it's still a ranged weapon. Gunfighters can use their ranged weapons as melee weapons. These attacks gain are considered melee attacks for all purposes and thus can target the Rider. -Ropetus
  14. Official ruling: You cannot heal dead models. Dead models cannot use any Abilities except those that separately state they trigger when they die. Inferno and Desperate Mercenary trick does not work. Here is how it goes from Marshal discussion: Same issue with blasts killing Rats and Rat Catchers at the same time: The Rat Catcher can only use the part referencing his own death on Voracious Rats. Effectively, multiple dead models can't interact with each other anymore. Expect a new Slow to Die wording, which states the model takes a (1) Action instead of being killed, then dies after the Action if still confirmed death. This makes Slow to Die different from other abilities triggering from death in that the model is not yet dead during Slow to Die. -Ropetus
  15. Sacrificed a Stuffed Piglet turns the damage table of the weapon into 3/5/7. The damage modifier thus applies to blast damage as well. -Ropetus
  16. #1: Emotional Trauma triggers every time the enemy model uses their Wp stat in a Duel and loses it. This includes Wp -> Wp, Wp -> TN, Wp resist Duels, defending against Candy's Wail etc. Every time you use Wp. #2: If the attack has no gun symbol, there is no restrictions and no randomizing. Just declare target, check LoS, measure and bang! As for Justice versus Pandora, you should check out Justice's Blind Justice Spell. Casting that one will allow anyone in the Aura to ignore Expose Fears, which strips Pandora of her main defense. Also, the boxes have slightly different SS values, with Pandora having a few SS more. Adding a Minion to Justice or removing one from Pandora could even out the odds. -Ropetus
  17. Everything that ignores LoS, also ignores cover. Otherwise it would not be a very useful ability as anything you ignore LoS to is practically always in cover from you as well (because most of the time they are blocked by terrain). This can come up with Sonnia Criid and Guild Austringers as well. -Ropetus
  18. It's there as a reminder in case someone gets confused whether damage flips from other sources than Strikes and Spells can be cheated. In no way does it override the rule that negative flips cannot be cheated. The ability would be horribly overpowered if you could cheat negative flips and deal 7 damage almost every time. -Ropetus
  19. Ophelia with Zoraida is perfectly fine due to Zoraida's Enthrall Ability. What the rule means is that you can't have multiple Special Forces in your Crew. If you hire Ophelia, who is Special Forces (Kin), you cannot hire Collodi because then you would have more than one Special Force in your Crew. -Ropetus
  20. Nothing prevents Rasputina from casting December's Touch on herself. -Ropetus
  21. Range will be measured from the model used with Ice Mirror, therefore the Aura is centered on that model. Not much point using Ice Mirror with White Out if that wasn't the case . Models can see up to 3" into obscuring terrain. Exactly 3" is included in up to 3". The model White Out is cast on is exactly 3" into obscuring terrain. Therefore the model can be seen. Of course other models behind that model can be out of sight. -Ropetus
  22. A dead Rat Catcher cannot use Voracious Rats. -Ropetus
  23. All damage from a single attack is simultaneous. The Rat Catcher and Rats are killed at the same time, so the Rat Catcher doesn't get healed and the Rats won't come back (unless there is Hamelin or another Ratcatcher nearby). -Ropetus
  24. Slow to Die happens when it is confirmed the model will die, but it won't die until after the Action. This is for the simple reason that dead models cannot take Actions so the model must be alive during the Action. You can heal a model that is not dead so you can save yourself during Slow to Die. Inferno happens after the model is dead, but before it is removed from game. The model is already dead when Inferno triggers and you can't heal dead models. If there was a way to give Sonnia Slow to Die and she is killed while under the effect of Inferno, she would first take the Slow to Die Action. If she gets healed and avoids death, Inferno won't trigger as she didn't really die. Slow to Die is special because it interrupts the process of being killed, while those others trigger after the model is a confirmed kill. -Ropetus
