Just picked up Kirai so looking forward to some new challenges. I like Jack Daw and the Hanged so will try and incorporate them into her crew. Some interesting dynamics possible there I think :secruity:.

Played a standard Lady J list in a 30ss tournament last week Lady J Judge 3 Death marshalls 2 guild guard My list was: Perdita judge Sammuel Guild astringer Nino Governors proxy Strategy was shared 'get the stuff' my shemes were assasinate (played on lady J) and 'the terrain grabbing one which I cannot remember the name of' while he had bodyguard and hold out. I won 6-4 as I got the stuff quicker and rushed perdita foward 18" in the last tuun to get into his deployment zone. My firepower kept Lady J and friends at bay to enable me to win the game so seemed a good foil to her. Using Perdta and obey with Nino was good. If I had had peridtas totem I would have used that as it would have allowed me to cast obey alot more as it came with a mask.

In game terms the Governors proxy is very effective. As far as looks go love the vulture and copycat killer.

Just played in a 3 game swiss chess tournament today. We rolled for strategies but had a limited number. There were 6 schemes (all standard) but you could only take one scheme once so that meant you used each one. It was 30ss take a faction and choose your crew for each game. It played failry well as I think I ended with a different strategy every game and of course a different scheme. Guild (used perdita twice and lady J once) won with arcanists 2nd (he only had showgirls) and outcasts 3rd. Lots of new players and a good day.

With the new hooded rider figure out now I guess we will be seeing him turn up on the table in the future. he has some nice abilities so thought it wise to discuss from a guild viewpoint how we deal with him. Most player will tend to run him up using his ability Passage of Time, the ‘Night’ version that states under Darkness: Cannot be targeted by ranged attacks. I was wondering if lady Js spell Blind Justice would help? ‘Friendly models ignore increases in Rg and Df, and any duels required from spells or talents to target models’ I guess as there is no duel to target the Hooded rider it would not apply. So if that is the case how can you stop this guy from a guild point of view?

If you were to take on a typical Lady J list ie 30ss Lady J Judge 3 Death marshalls 2 Guild Guard What would be the best guild list you could put together to beat it from what is available now? I see Lady Js weakness being her defence from shooting so my obvious choice to start would be Perdita, Nino and a guild astringer. Not sure after that maybe stalkers as having hunter and being able to explode could do some damage.

I have a similar crew and it is indeed very good. Next step would maybe be the Peacekeeper. Have not got it myself but have played aginst it and was very impressed, great model too.

That helps alot Andrew cheers for that. Was thinking along the same lines but the executioner and final repose is one I had not considered so appreciate that idea. Have a tournament in a couple of weeks but have not got Perdita and Francisco and don't think will be able to get them in time so may have to go with Lady J and maybe the Judge instead.

If you had access to all the current models (from Book 1) that Wyrd have out what would be the best Guild 30ss force you could put up against Zoraida to combat her vodoo doll and conduit? Granted Zoraida can choose from alot of models but I have been struggling lately. The last list I played my opponent used: Zoraida Vodoo doll Convict gunslinger Bad juju Doppleganger Waldegist Any tactics gratefully appreciated.

Agree aren't they WP duels? Facing terrifying models is the danger as that is a morale duel I believe.

I have the governors proxy and yes it is very good.

Have a Lady J crew and I see my LGS has the Scales of Justice totem in store. Nice model but wondered what peoples experiences of it are. Game wise good option?

I love the Ophellia crew models and can't wait tos ee what they will do for the young Lacroix. Agree with the comment re running plain old bayou gremlins they seem a a tad lacklustre. Mind you until the young Lacriox arrive I will probably run them as at least they are not insignificant.

Yes you can. All you have to nominate for the tournament is the faction, then you can choose whatever you want from that faction at the start of every game.

Agree on the dropping of one marshall for a stalker. The other option would be dropping the astringer for Nino. Although the astringer can come in very handy particulary vs leveticus where he can take out the hidden waif then Lady j can coast in and take out Leveticus who stays dead.

First Malifaux tournament coming up end of November. 30ss and take one faction. I think it is going to be the first malifaux tournament in New Zealand so that is all good. Wondering what would be the best faction to run with. I have Guild (Lady J and Sonnia), Resurectionist (Nico and McMorning) and Outcasts (Somer and Ophellia). Of those I have probably found Nico and Lady J real killer lists with the right models with them. Liking this list if I were to take guild Lady J Sammuel Gulid astringer 2 Death Marshalls Witchling Stalker

Are you playing strategies and schemes? If not then that would change the complection of things alot as your opponent would have to come out to complete their strategies etc.

I had my first run with her last weekend vs marcus. Ended up a draw however I think I only lost 2 gremlins. I ran Somer with her regular crew and he tended to compliment her well whilst creating extra gremlins and healing the Ophellia crew. She has some nice wee triggers that can be deadly & added to that her instinctual ability and some great (0) actions and you have alot of gremlin fun happening. The models themselves are fantastic. I don't think I have enjoyed painting figures so much as these wee guys. Like a good book just couldn't put them down once I started.

Just picked my box set up today so with luck will have them all painted and ready to go this weekend. They have some nice triggers and little tricks that could be fun. I think I will be coming up against a neverborn list so that could be interesting as I know my opponent has the new LCB all painted up and ready to go :hmmmm:

Hi Paul what part of the long white cloud are you based in? There are a few of us now playing malifaux down here in Dunedin and our LGS has now started stocking it.

I made up a whole lot of DL card size handouts. Had a brief intro of Malifaux, the website address and pics of some of the models. Am going to put some down at LGS to promote its arrival.

Now looks like the LGS is going to start stocking malifaux so all moving forward nicely here in Dunedin.
