The crystals are separate from the base, but as they're designed to be at an angle they may need a basic mod sit at a usable angle on a base. For Sonia's flame wall I've just bought some GF9 flames which I've glued to 50mm bases - will try to put a picture up tomorrow.

The Battlefoam case looks very good, and I like the branding, however I could get an equivalent KR case for half that money. Still, will check it out when I'm in the States in October. Played Peacekeeper with Lady Justice on Monday and it worked well. Peacekeeper drew all the attention and was killed eventually, but the rest of my crew was more or less free to move around and concenrate on strategies, and killing things! The 'relentless move, shoot, drag towards and melee' combo worked twice!

1:43 can also work as well, depending on the object (and how accurately it is to scale!).

I have used some Black Cat skull base inserts (left over from Hell Dorado basing) and also Black Cat have some solide white metal cast counters for both Corpse and Scrap Counters - currently being painted. All use 30mm bases and are fairly 2D to allow stacking.

Malifaux is starting to take off in my local club Cranfield Conquerors, and I know that there are some players down the road in Bedford. Ran demos yesterday at UK Games Expo in Birmingham (well Omadon ran most of them) and there was lots of interest, including 2 local guys playing in one of the side rooms on the Sunday. Hopefully we'll have demos at other shows during the year (Bovingdon, Colours & Warfare).

We should be OK. Newbie is bringing his brill board, and we'll be using Graham's figures plus my Sonia crew I guess. Looking forward to seeing you.

Newbie, Omadon and myself will be running Malifaux demos at the UK Games Expo show in Birmingham on the 5/6th June. This is a general gaming show and there is usually a good interest in miniature games. We'll let you know how we got on.
