Maybe you read what I was replying to and see that my reply was to somebody saying they didn't think fuhatsu could use chi. Also fuhatsu is definitely not one of the best henchmen in the game, he's good but so easy to get around. Weak 2 is not great. But each to their own.

He can't, so someone's playing wrong as he's not a Monk. I don't think he's as good as people assume, make use of cover and keep him low damage

It all comes down to personal opinion to a degree I guess. There are a few the community agrees on but past that you will find different people think different things. I would disagree with leveticus, zoraida, misaki for example, even shenlong is no longer there. Probably others I disagree with but there is more community backing for them

Adran explained it best why they cannot. Rules as written requires 2 friendly models and if model A doesn't class model B as friendly there are not 2 friendly models.

How it's written is 2 friendly models. One of the models doesn't consider the other friendly so it's not 2 friendly models. As said, we are going around in circles but eventually you will see I am right

Why would you default to that? It says 2 friendly models, at no point does the attacker (and therefore most likely active player) consider the cadmus model friendly no mater what the cadmus model thinks of him.

They are not 2 friendly models, the attacker is attacking something that's not friendly to him, so it's no friendly models. We have rules and your thoughts on it trying to break the game, like face in the crowd. All will become apparent I'm sure and you will find I am right.

except the rules say it has to be 2 friendly models, and they are not friendly. whilst you may treat it as friendly its still not friendly so therefore you cannot relent. you are not friendly to it, so half friendly models at best but still not friendly. considering how powerful you already believe cadmus to be do you really have to try and rules lawyer something like this through (which is wrong anyway) going around in circles here but you will see eventually (I hope).

because its not purely 2 friendlies, one side treats the other as an enemy. the enemy model you may treat as friendly but he doesnt treat you as such. They are not friendly to each other, it's a one sided friendship so no 2 friendly models. believe me, I'm right

As was pointed out with actual rules it says nothing about defender, it says 2 friendly models. Whilst cadmus may treat them as friendly it doesn't make them actually friendly, it's an unrequited love, only one way. You can't relent with cadmus against models with parasite, they are still enemy models. For what it's worth page 26 tells you what a friendly model is, its one hired into your crew, this never changes. A model with parasite may be classed as friendly but the models are still an enemy and a friend at best so not 2 friendly models

But the cadmus model is not friendly to the attacker so thus is not 2 friendly models. Relenting requires both models to be friendly to each other and you're not friendly to them so no relent.

They can't as relenting says 2 friendly models in duels and though cadmus might see a guy with a parasite as friendly he doesn't see you as friendly so it's not 2 friendly models.

Amusingly I actually run all of those masters (well not seamus) normally with very little OOK so I could probably run my standard crews in a tourney like this.

yeah, thats not going to happen, the models are being released and we have them all on vassal, the book is out also, fully printed, plus cards so people would not be happy if the entire faction changes after they put money into it

Apologies wasn't meant to be an insult as I do see people I know fishing sometimes by being controversial, it can also create debate. That comment came from so far out though that I made what was obviously a bad assumption.

I think kirai would do well. Again you have the summon options to throw away. Ikiriyo stops them passing damage around. Goryo have their decent attacks and a pulse damage against wp which is good into the faction. Then you have vengeance too so lots of extra stuff going on. She also has jaakuna with a stat 7 lure which is highest in the game so can hopefully break up the bubble some.

each to their own I guess, I like to have at least 1 acolyte, I even have a crew with 3 of them. As for stat 5, into explorers alot of them are wp5 or less so not a problem. Also brings tools for the job which is a nice card cycle allowing easier mutilate

I know you guys don't like raspy but don't think you use her keyword if you think she has no anti armour. I happen to like her keyword and acolytes who have analyse weakness

I actually think her shockwave is better as lower masks required to get it off 6 times and hopefully plenty of targets near the marker. Plus is gives slow and staggered making subsequent markers hit easier. Then you have more shockwaves from snowstorm and even the golem can contribute with his hazardous 2 aura

I do have to try some of these masters into explorers as I think they have uses. Also raspy crew is fine 🤪

Honestly haven't tried it but I think mcmourning has game into explorers. Only wp5 so no summoned brocken, hard to wound across the crew helps too. Also healing from poison doesn't happen during activation phase so is ok with jedza. I do need to try this, could be interesting. Then you have blasts from sonnia, shockwaves from wong, both from raspy. All the perceived weaker masters may have found their place.
