Hola man. I'm buying a spare copy of the Malifaux rulebook for the express purpose of loaning it out for a week at a time to the locals to hook them. I'm also buying a spare deck of cards and two extra crews for the same purpose. I'm confident I'll be able to get some people playing. I know carnage4u would be up for it, but for the fact that he recently scored a bunch of Starship Troopers figures cheaply, and has been playing it a lot with his roommates (whom he has converted). Our Wednesday Warmachine crowd is fairly big (average 8-10 people, total number of people 16), so I think I can get it going. I brought in my painted Ortega crew last week and they got some attention. Any of ya'all going to the Con?

Not to fear, WS! The invites are still at the printer's. Worthless curs have been sitting on them for weeks, claiming the blood-based ink I insist they use is gumming up their machines. I am confident however that a visit from Killjoy will spur them on to greater efforts :afraid:

Nathan's dead-on Re: the table at GenCon. The grey, weather beaten wood had a western feel. "Mining", be it for gold or soulstones also says "western" to me. Ortega is a Latino name, so there's another southwest element. And the costumes worn by Seamus and the belles would fit right in at the Gem Saloon in Deadwood (although that's Black Hills 'West' as opposed to 'southwest' west). Certainly, there's no denying the horror elements. I love all the elements of the Malifaux background/flavor/story so far. It's more than half the reason I get into and stay with a game.

You were missed indeed! I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. My wife and I spent most of our time in Scotland and England, but our two days in Wales were wonderful.
