  1. no, effects end when a model dies. If Levi was buried instead of killed then he would suffer the effects of slow when he returned to the table. Edit, beat me to the post.
  2. We have a few people that will join this locally. For my part I will play levi, hamlin, and ophelia. And for the painting Levi And Molly when here crew is out.
  3. I only watched one episode of the US version of Being Human and I could not stand the show. If I was really into hearing how tough life was and all the emo that went along with it I may be ok. Another series that made a US version that I had high hopes for was Top Gear. Again the US version blows chunks, they really hit me as being mouth pieces for GM, Ford and Chrysler.
  4. Ryle is a beast, I have had him kill both Johan and Alyce in one activation and both targets was unharmed before the carnage.
  5. You may want to consider creating an advantage that allows them to use soulstones. I would also say that green characters could not have access to this advantage.
  6. I have to agree with pans labyrinth, is a great movie and I would recommend Devils Backbone. DB is a bit predictable but it is still a good movie. To get back on topic a little bit, my addition wasn't in the ending but was one of the biggest OMG moments. When Kevin Spacey's character dies in LA Confidential.
  7. I would drop that list down to two rotten belles and throw in some punk zombies for hitting power, and maybe a few zombie dogs for objective grabs and to increase the number of activations you have.
  8. You may want to check into micro armor, I am fairly certain they are a British company and they do plaster terrain. The big question is I am not sure they sell molds.
  9. It is useless as a totem, running it as an alt sculpt for a zombie dog is the only value it has now.
  10. Not against lord Chompy bits. He does a great job of killing off flesh constructs all by himself.
  11. I would normally not care, but after running the demo I wanted to avoid any problems that show up and we had problems when it was two honest new people.
  12. The only downside with thwart I am only going to allow schemes that can be announced and they must be announced. Also nothing that is worth more then 2vp.
  13. My vote is the gunslinger can do more damage. An extra ronin may be nice it would allows you to play a little more reckless with your viks. I will be at the shop tomorrow night after work, I am game if you want to try out one of the lists.
  14. Deck checks bog everything down and this serves the same purpose. There is nothing unfair about running an event this way, everyone has access to the standard deck and if he does not have or does not want to spend the cash on a new deck he can use mine. One final point if I do not make an effort to discourage bad behavior on his part how is that fair to the people he is going to have to play against. I want to make this a fun event for everyone involved, and the last thing I want is someone to walk away with a bad experience because I did not take measures to stop bad behavior.
  15. We have only one player that is the issue and he has 3 puppet decks. The main reason why I am not allowing them is there was a demo for two new players a week ago, one of the players had a puppet deck and it slowed the demo down a lot just spending the extra time to process the card. The other part of the reason is the player with three deck may get ideas from the ginormas thread we had about people cheating. He was mad at me the other day for the ruling, but part of the plan is to offer to let him use one of my regular decks for the tournament, instant deck check. If he refuses that offer it is still good because we have two players that will not play in the tournament because of him, and if he is out that means they are in.
  16. The change to Does Not Die did not change the usefulness (broken qualities) of Stitched Together. Of the several games I have played against that list Teddy has been a none issue and the damage that has been done has always been the Stitched using gamble for your life and then Lord Chompy Bits. I really think that their Gamble for your Life really needs to be changed to a 0 action, or take away reactivate from Does Not Die, that would put them closer to their 5 ss cost. Personally I have used Coppelius in a few lists and I just cannot get him to be that effective, not for the amount of soul stones he cost. There are too many models out there for that price range I would rather take for competitive play.
  17. The stitched together way more potent then the alps in my opinion, the only thing you have to watch for is immune to influence models, that is where the alps tend to be better then Stitched. In our games the alps spent their time going after objective markers or they died when they went after the zombie dogs. My thought is you have not developed a clear roll for them in your list.
  18. I have decided to pass on this game. The local players that have jumped into this game have described problems with DW that are the same problems that soured me on US. Mostly it is a lack of fully developing and testing rules before publishing the game, then letting the mob greatly influence the changes that needs to happen.
  19. That would have been nothing higher then a 5 in my hand, and I think my deck was stacked lowest card value at the top to highest card value at the bottom of the fate deck.
  20. They had two factions, the evil barbarians was called the drunes, lots of body parts and unhealthy looks. The other are called Kelts, the good barbarians, think Arnold Connan. I personally thing they would both work for Tharn models, but they would be a bit smaller then typical hordes scale. There was one kelt that I can think of that had some kind of wyrdstone as part of the model, it was a character model and I think the name was Epoch. It has been a very long time when I last looked at the model so I could be very wrong about the name.
  21. January 29th Agents will have their first Malifaux tournament. It will start at 1pm and will run for three rounds with a break between round 2 and 3. Each round will run for an hour and fourty-five minutes. We will use Strategies and Schemes from rising power. Scenario decks will be provided to all entries. List builds will be limited to a single master and 30 souls stones. Entry Fee is $5.00 If you are interested in participating please let me know, turn out looks like it will be good and I want to make sure we plan for enough support for everyone. Thanks
  22. I run a Tharn list also, but I have never used the standing stones or the stonekeeper, and honestly I have not thought about it much. If I can make any suggestions I think the best models to keep in with the theme would be to use old metal Drunes from confrontation. There are a number of shaman models that should work out well.
  23. The only thing I would like to add, Kirai is very trump dependent. This can make games go very poorly if you are not pulling the trumps you need. I think she is a very strong master but of the three the most boring to play.
  24. Resser battles are long drawn out affairs that should be avoided. I spent many games running against a Nicco list using other undead and and I cannot say which one was better.
