  1. Great job. Very gritty with the blood work. The third photo down in the OP is the best example of what you're talking about "sense of motion". Sculptor did a great job with this one.
  2. Stoked if Darkson is gonna stock this. That new mantis is screaming to be owned.
  3. Tamiya White is bar none the best I've used. I just did an experiment. I already had the GW and Armory White, I bought Tamiya and Krylon and primed some extra minis I had. Tamiya came out the cleanest, dried the quickest, stank the least and the base coat colors worked out the best.
  4. Definitely some solid color choices for thos models and dig the construct weapon conversion
  5. Infinity, a lot. Rockin' game for tactics and sci-fi. Would play Helldorado, but this game put the kabash on that front. I love this game, have the income to play others, but there really isn't much room for multiple fantasy skirmish games in our area and we're moving forward with Malifaux.
  6. Uh, yeah. THose are friggin' sweet. Look just like the pics in the book.
  7. 100% paint on the base. I can imagine EricJ painting the bases seperate, because he's really painting the bases, like he's painting a canvas piece. I glue magnets to the bottom of all my bases before I base them. Then I base them and attach the figure. I then have bottle caps with metal washers glued to them so that I can place the magnetized model+base on the bottle cap. Maybe a little bit of sticky tack too. The nice thing is that your hand has a larger area to grip and turn the model as opposed to an exacto or drill. Stupid easy to transfer the mini when all is done and it can easily be set down anywhere you like. Now I use dice containers with magnets glued underneath so I can enclose the mini completely when I'm not painting.
  8. Dox you know me. I'm the local Infinity junkie.
  9. So naturally RIW on Tuesday nights will be your closest bet. We also flip on Thursdays down at Pandemonium. Nerdelemental and I will be coordinating events between the two stores. Both stores carry all the gear, boths stores have appropriate terrain for the game. Pande is up to about 8 players now. Tuesday's are hard nights for me to get out so I don't know what the scene is like up there. Good guys to game with though. Welcome aboard.
  10. Now that's fantastic. Building the off angle structures is hard and what I like to see for this game. Awesome stuff. Can't wait to see how you paint it.
  11. Word. Scope us at either RIW on Tuesday nights or Pandemonium on Thursdays.
  12. Very nice. I hope to see more submissions if they're going to be this great and with custom base work like that.
  13. Some great looking terrian. Definitely has a good cold feel to it.
  14. Yeah, you might have to do a step by step with pictures of how you do those bases. The stones are clean and realistic. I've sculpted a few flat stone bases and I always end up with folded edges or "pulled" into the neighboring rock. If I press straight down, then it looses the nice flatness look you've got going on.
  15. Wow. You Blog site has some stupendous stuff on it. I wish I could read Czech. I hope to see some more progress on that Aberration Prime set you've got going on.

  16. @JMP, OSL is pretty damn easy for what I thought it would be. Nicoderm was the second model I tried OSL on. @DarkPhantomz, yeah we play at Pande on Thursday nights. Thursday is also our Infinity League night so my time now is split between that and demoing malifaux. Hope to see you there as we're looking to fire up a Malifaux league soon and a tourney.
  17. Here is a slew of links to the French painters, most with tutorials. The Frenchies
  18. Welcome aboard holmes. What faction are you thinking of going with?
  19. Yeah, superb touch on the bases. If I ever get into Pandora list (likely will) I'm gonna have to follow similar suite. The sorrows look the best.
  20. Nice write up. Don't know if the intent is grow this to be more comprehensive. I'd also add in some notes that highlight the translation concerning scenarios and such. Warmachine, scenarios are mutual. Wyrd, scenarios are individual. Combine this with initiative determined for each round and Malifaux offers a destinct balance in scenarios that you don't enjoy in Warmachine. Warmachine scenarios are set-up such that complete the objective, game over so this allows to player going first an unsettling advantage, delegating the 2nd player to a caster kill in most cases. And since scenarios have a two tier VP structure, Strategys worth 4-2VPs, Schemes worth 2-1Vps each, there is more flexibility in manufacturing a victory than setting up a one sided combo caster kill or blitzing the objective and having to "play with a pair". Malifaux does not have a universal master dead = game over condition.
  21. Yes, I have played against Guild and against Lady Justice quite a few times now with Nidoderm and Seamus and have been able to win and playing the "cuddled" rules from the get go. It's still fine. The Guild would still be able to rid you of your zombies because zombies count as corpses. They can just say, "Zombies be gone." With Nicoderm you get "Bolster Undead" which is WAY better than bringing in Zombies when fighting the Death Marshals. Df 7, Cb 9:malicrows with 2/4/5 Dg, Rot, flurry, Slow to Die is some pretty damn hard hitting Zombie Punks. And the fact that Nicoderm has Fog, you can basicaly just forget the Zombies with them and just go for their throats. Imagine bringing in Killjoy in this list at 30ss and letting Mortimer sit home and dig by himself. This is not a cuddle unless all you care about is having Zombies at all times, but I've done quite well without them.
  22. Very nice hanging tree. Is that twisted wire with sculpy?
  23. Wow. You mean I've been playing Nicoderm this whole time "cuddled" already? Yet, I've still had a few games where I've popped out 8 zombies at a 25ss game by round 4. The zombies are worth it, especially when you can cast "Bolster Undead" the next round. 2 zombies is nice to have, 2 corpse counters to make another zombie punk is nice especially at 25ss. At larger games, an extra zombie punk won't feel as awesome, but then there will be more corpse counters lying around the table. The thought of a horde of zombies is intriguing, but don't set yourself up for dissapointment when you only see 2-4 at a time. YOu'll learn later on that they are great to have around; absorb damage for Nico block LoS, charging lanes plus you can sacrifice the zombie whenever you want to Reanimate.
