  1. Ressurectionists are a little harder to play than most other crews IMO. At the start, you are instantly spoiled in how hard they can be to take down and the Slow To Die on everyone is an invitation to be reckless. But you still have to emply a little wit and finese to ensure you win a lot of the Strategy/Location combos topped off with who you're up against. Last night I played vs Rasputina in a mutual Slaughter strategy and I had: McMourning Sebastian Grave Spirit Chihuahua Flesh Construct Punks x2 Rasputina took the Sabotage scheme and easily blocked off the terrain piece with pillars and hid behind them. Had it not been for Sebastions 3"(H) Dg 4 spell, the game would have been a tie at best for me since I wasn't packing a whole lot of readily Dg4 attacks. Without Sebastian, I would have had to spend 1 or 2 rounds commiting to taking out the pillars to march in with the whole crew, or line everything up to take out one pillar and send in McMourning in all his own for a round via Scalpel Slingin' which avoids having to take damage from the hazardous terrain of a busted pillar.
  2. Hey Dox, thanks for the game. Hope the Scenario practice was solid for you prepping for the tourney. That was a highly entertaining ans edge of the seat game. Lot of dramatic card flipping. I'm amazed at how putrid my results with Resurrectionists are.
  3. I like how they only gave Killjoy +2 movement on his charge and 0 on his walk. Otherwise that would have made him real iffy to take in a Neverborn crew.
  4. Good looking crew. Like the additional work on the bases to prop the caskets.
  5. The one real major gripe I have with Wyrd models are the amount of flashing and mold lines. I've never seen mold lines so large give the size of figures before. About 1 out of 5 minatures has more than just mold lines, it looks as if the two haves of the molds don't set in place and you have a shifting of the back to front of the model and this has required more filing and green stuffing than should be necessary.
  6. And some OSL! Awesome work holmes!
  7. When first using Mortimer, I would try exhume in round 1 or 2. Whether it succeeded or not, I hated having Mortimer lagging behind. If you can't even cheat the flip, then it's typically a waste of time for me. Usually I end up flipping a raven just to get the cast off, I am sitting on 1 or 3 ravens in my control hand (having saved one from the previous round) and so the chances of flipping that raven suite is much small and a waste of an (ALL) action when Mortimer can do so much else.
  8. Primarily for improving casting, in particular to reanimate and raise Belles. When using McMourning, to make sure I get the slinging scalpels attack off to move faster and get off the kill/heal.
  9. Me and my two Copycat killers!
  10. Alamogordo? I had no idea there was a gaming store down there. What's the scene like? Welcome aboard and glad to see there is action outside of ABQ. (Originally from Las Vegas, NM; ABQ was home for 10 years)
  11. Where is your LGS? Z game is so damn economical to get into, its hardly and issue to get a few others to jump in and give it a whirl.
  12. You know your ills, the two nurses. Proxy one as a Belle and lure them to the Flesh construct.
  13. Ok, I'm gonna have to look at these from time to time, just because the green is so much fun to look at. It looks less like highlights and more like object source sighting. If your were to make a simple diorama with green light sources from randomly above and to the side, these would look right in place. That green lighting is lending these figs an atmosphere to them that is awesome-sauce. Well done, sir, well done.
  14. Perdita on a railtrack base is a superb touch. Like she's making a run on a soulstone cave while "protecting" it. The paint work is pretty decent. All in proportion, stands out and allows it's presence to be known.
  15. I hang around a lot of folks who put models together from a lot of other companies and are the types of folks who are more partial to a well sculpted figure and one which will look great painted whether or not they actually paint them. Wyrd is NOT the most difficult line of figs to put together, but they do need some time. Wyrd is however a very thin miniature range, but I am still amazed at the number of miniatures that come as a single cast piece. Let me say that again, amazed. Now, go and try to put together the Harakuri from Infinity or some of the metal Cynwalls & Daikinee's from Rackham and tell me that Victoria is a difficult figure to work with. When it comes to the rigors of gameplay, when the game needs but 5-10 miniatures, its a lot easier to take care of, transport and handle Wyrd figs. GW and PP couldn't do this. There's a lot to be said for appreciating and seeing a well tended to miniature, rather than seeing folks toss models into a pile after its been removed from play.
  16. Looks like McMourning hit a big artery on that last slingin' scalpels. :marshmell

Word has it you're the guy to contact about getting some movement/carrying trays for Malifaux size bases. If so, may I retain your services? If your services are available, what are your prices and what size trays can you make? I pay well. This message will not self destruct but it might induce bad voodoo.

  18. I'm looking for carrying trays that have the circular cutouts sized for Wyrd size bases. I want to make/convert a carrying cases and use such trays with magnets underneath to hold the minatures. I've seen a lot of PRivateer Press players use wood with the bses bored out, but was wondering how I can get my hands on some of those. maybe 18"x9" or similar.
  19. Infinity, Infinity, Infinity the system rocks, the fluff is thought provoking and open to lots of great intrigue and the models are stunning. Stopped playing 40k a while back, and haven't played Warmachine in a year. Now all my energies are in Malifaux and Infinity. I would love to continue playing Helldorado though.
  20. That's a big friggin' Teddy. I hope it comes to life and throws you out of town. AHAHAH! Seriously though, that thing looks like a relative of the gimp. Keep it away from me and my crews. :bounce:
  21. If it were Saturday, then you would play only Chicago players and be fighting card floppers in the unholy hell of the blob body funk and overwhelming mass that is a giant card tournament. Put me and Capcap down.
  22. That is a great story. You should do some artwork for it and make it into a kids book. It could do well, its a neat story with a little moral truth.
  23. Love that color on Seamus. You're a good friend.
  24. Yeah, those are some dirty dead whores. I like 'em. The green on Seamus looks awesome. That base work looks fabulous. I covet those bases.
