  1. Gah - can't decide, everything just looks so good. I guess I'll have to tally what I have and figure it out from there: Guild: Lady Justice's Crew, Perdita (alone for now). Resurrectionist: Nicodem's Crew and Shamus' Crew. Neverborn: Pandora's Crew (plus Avatar form, minus the Sorrows). Arcanist: Rasputina (alone for now). Outcast: Bounty-Hunter Viktoria (alone for now). Hmm. Guess I'll have to go with the Resurrectionists.
  2. Gamers' World in Montreal already has some of the Miniatures in stock and can order in whatever you're looking for, and I can tell you that they will be stocking the game as well as having event days on a regular basis (there's some interest in the game already and one of the staff members *innocent look* has been talking up the game as "the next big thing").
  3. If you want to know more about various water effects, there were some interesting answers in this thread. http://wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?t=6725 Heaven knows that thread gave me good ideas on where to start next time I'll be fooling around with water...
  4. I wish I could paint half as good as you do.
  5. Damn! Almost missed this one! Happy Birthday!
  6. I just love their look and occasional oddness (crab launcher?), I just hope they get a North American distributor soon.
  7. Gorgeous piece of work. I need to find myself a new copy of Razheem and paint him up nicer than the last time...
  8. It's actually for a demo table for Anima Tactics - there's a decent-sized (5000 people) anime-themed con at the end of July beginning of August, which has a gaming section, so the gaming store I where I work part-time decided to have demos of stuff, among which Anima Tactics. The idea is to have an eye-catching and jaw-dropping demo table. We have a great concept idea, now if only we can get it to work...
  9. Thank you, DH - that's the kind of thing that's always good to keep in mind, moreso with my current project, as I need something that'll look clear and be solid when set. I've tested using epoxy on a piece of fishing wire earlier this week and was surprised to find it was still VERY flexible - I had expected it to be as solid as rock (which in my experience is the normal hardness of cured epoxy), and I do believe I had even mixed in a bit more hardener in the epoxy mix. Speaking of which - that test reminded me why I hate working with epoxy. No, not the fumes, although those generally do put me off, but the fact that most of the time you wind up with the stuff everywhere as it winds up leaking and dripping on stuff it shouldn't be on. My poor hands. I only hope I can finish that terrain project in time.
  10. Interesting structure - it looks like some sort of demented and haunted fortress/manor, and reminded me of something I'd heard about in North Korea. Might as well share it: http://www.esquire.com/the-side/DESIGN/hotel-of-doom-012808 There's just something about it that caught my eye - just like yours. Wouldn't be able to put a finger on why though.
  11. Tried a few tests with the EZ water. Useful due to the short time it takes to use it, but yeah, it's something of a pain. I have to run a few more tests tomorrow, one of which needs to be how well it takes color.
  12. It's been confirmed that Oni would get a lot of zombie troops. Including TacArm style elite infantry...
  13. Picked up some E-Z Water and some Water Effects at the model store yesterday - I don't think I'll need a huge amount of water, but I'd still rather like to hear more about people's experiences.
  14. As the title says, I'm looking for advice about how to create large water surfaces for a demo table - any products you guys go for above all else and would recommend? Anything I should watch out for?
  15. They should - I'm really interested in this one and two more of their new games which should be coming out at Gencon...
  16. Red Troll with way too many caged little goblins: http://www.coolminiornot.com/128582 Moloch with the cage: http://www.coolminiornot.com/193469 Any of those two or is it something else? It'd be easier if we could see the piece you have too...
  17. No idea where I'll be come Gencon (Asmodee's not sure if they'll need me at this point), but I'll have to track you down for one for sure.
  18. I do believe they did, along with the Red Troll.
  19. Yeah, if you've got a few copies at Gencon, I'll definitely try to get a copy off you.
  20. He is available through the Galleon system: if you hold or participate in Alkemy events, you will earn reward points which may be redeemed for this miniature (among others).
  21. Same difference between a Brit, an American and a Scot. They all speak the same language (accents aside), but the culture of each will be rather different. Reste a voir, Moa, reste a voir... Part of me wonders how they'll pull it off, the rest of me wonders if they'll manage to survive long enough to give rise to a new king of technological support/game medium I have heard one of the bosses at Asmodee talk about (ie.: yeah, the major players are looking into ways to head in this direction, so get ready guys, this is only the beginning). And all of me hopes it'll be a wonderful game and a cool thing to play.
  22. The owner of a LGS intends to ask them to come by for a demo day "some time soon". I'll keep you guys informed if it ever DOES happen.
  23. I'll join in with the chorus and wish you a happy birthday!
  24. Cool. That game table looks familiar though...
  25. They've got fun rules too! They each get to toss out a number of hives around, and if anything ends up too close to those, bees attack.
