  1. Good move in my opinion  Not that it was a problem here, but better safe than sorry
  2. A sombre note indeed My thoughts are with you, your sister and your whole family.
  3. The Wolfriders look great and I really like the Executioners too.
  4. Hmm, I might take a look at Hero Box: Atis-Astarte. But I really wish they would start selling some unpainted metal miniatures for us painters out there...
  5. Very nice work. I really like the overall color scheme. But I think the woodgrain on the lute isn't up to your usual high standard. The stripes look a little thick and too even in my opinion. That's nit-picking however. I wish my main projects would look at least half as good as the miniatures you just whip out
  6. Excellent sculpts. Looking forward to these
  7. Awesome, especially the second one. About time Rackham puts out some new stuff for the undead  Judging by the bottom right picture in the first collage these will be quite tall.
  8. GW shows you say? Let's hope these will be available at GD Germany in August... *crosses fingers*
  9. I have this one primed and ready to be painted on my worktable atm. The mini is much more filigrane than it appears on the pictures. The cloak could use a little movement imho, but this is easy enough to fix.
  10. Ugh, Enigma starting a 30mm range - that's baaaad news for my bank account
  11. I like the Vampire Fighter. Looking forward to seeing the mini.
  12. My thoughts exactly The Yu Jing Daofei is my favorite of the bunch.
  13. No no no, that's called hostile takeover ... think the program "Supervike" invading the Wyrd system.
  14. That's a good one! Definitely what I needed to brighten up a stressy day at the office.
  15. This one has a very regal, majestic feel. Excellent work.
  16. Huge improvement! Skin, warpaint and tartan are excellent. How long was it between the two?
  17. Thanks for the feedback I agree with the cloak. I can underline what Wren said: starting with it I thought I'd do something different and make it kick ass - and I was humbled very quickly... And then there was that competition deadline looming
  18. In my opinion this is one of your best works Great work on the face. The purple dress is very fitting too. I think the blending could be smoother in some places, but the overall impression is excellent.
  19. First of all I want to thank everybody who voted and commented on this mini. Thank you This the first time I participated in a Wyrd contest, but it won't be the last. In my opinion the Nyss Sorceress is one of the best sculpts in the Iron Kingdoms range and I wanted to paint her for a long time. After several unsuccessful attempts to get my greedy hands on this mini a friend asked me to paint her for him - naturally I jumped at the chance I chose a rather limited palette of reds and blues (again) with lots of purple glazes to set the mood and unify the colors. the most difficult part (and probably the weakest too...) was the cloak. While the sculpt is awesome it is very challenging and exhausting to paint. But enough talk now, let's roll the pics: You can see more angles and a huge close-up on my website If any of you cares to vote again, she is up on CMON too What do you think?
  20. Very nice work (as always) This was one of my favorites and got my vote in her category and for the base as well.
  21. To me it looks as if the Winter Troll is singing... Rhyas is just awesome. I love the concept art in NQ11 and I think the mini lives up to it
  22. - If I stopped trying to emulate the approach to painting from every tutorial I read and just find my own way (or at least stick to a certain way of doing things long enough to get good at it...) - If I could paint whenever I want to.
  23. Hey Max, welcome to Wyrd. Nice to see you here.
